The joint european Space Agency and Chinese Academy of Sciences Solar wind Magnetosphere ionosphere Link explorer(SMiLe)mission will explore global dynamics of the magnetosphere under varying solar wind and interplanetary magnetic field conditions,and simultaneously monitor the auroral response of the Northern Hemisphere *** these large-scale responses with medium and fine-scale measurements at a variety of cadences by additional ground-based and space-based instruments will enable a much greater scientific impact beyond the original goals of the SMiLe ***,we describe current community efforts to prepare for SMiLe,and the benefits and context various experiments that have explicitly expressed support for SMiLe can offer.A dedicated group of international scientists representing many different experiment types and geographical locations,the Ground-based and Additional Science Working Group,is facilitating these *** include constructing an online SMiLe Data Fusion Facility,the discussion of particular or special modes for experiments such as coherent and incoherent scatter radar,and the consideration of particular observing strategies and spacecraft *** anticipate growing interest and community engagement with the SMiLe mission,and we welcome novel ideas and insights from the solar-terrestrial community.

Melt extrusion-based additive manufacturing(Me-AM)is a promising technique to fabricate porous scaffolds for tissue engi-neering ***,most synthetic semicrystalline polymers do not possess the intrinsic biological activity required to control cell *** of biomolecules on polymeric surfaces of AM scaffolds enhances the bioactivity of a construct;however,there are limited strategies available to control the surface ***,we report a strategy to tune the surface density of bioactive groups by blending a low molecular weight poly(ε-caprolactone)5k(PCL5k)containing orthogonally reactive azide groups with an unfunctionalized high molecular weight PCL75k at different *** porous three-dimensional(3D)scaf-folds were then fabricated using a high weight percentage(75 wt.%)of the low molecular weight PCL *** a proof-of-concept test,we prepared films of three different mass ratios of low and high molecular weight polymers with a thermopress and reacted with an alkynated fluorescent model compound on the surface,yielding a density of 201-561 pmol/cm^(2).Subsequently,a bone morphogenetic protein 2(BMP-2)-derived peptide was grafted onto the films comprising different blend compositions,and the effect of peptide surface density on the osteogenic differentiation of human mesenchymal stromal cells(hMSCs)was *** two weeks of culturing in a basic medium,cells expressed higher levels of BMP receptor ii(BMPRii)on films with the conjugated *** addition,we found that alkaline phosphatase activity was only significantly enhanced on films contain-ing the highest peptide density(i.e.,561 pmol/cm^(2)),indicating the importance of the surface *** together,these results emphasize that the density of surface peptides on cell differentiation must be considered at the cell-material ***,we have presented a viable strategy for Me-AM community that desires to tune the bulk and surface functionality via blending of(m

The study of the influence of the cobalt content on the cyclic stability of superelasticity(Se)was carried out in quenched Ni_(44)Fe_(19)Ga_(27)Co_(10)and Ni_(39)Fe_(19)Ga_(27)Co_(15)(at.%)single crystals under *** is shown that an increase in the cobalt content leads to embrittlement of the material and a decrease in the cyclic stability of *** Ni_(44)Fe_(19)Ga_(27)Co_(10)single crystals,during the first 20 loading/unloading cycles,the elastic energy relaxation occurs along with the formation of dislocations and residual martensite,which leads to a decrease in critical stress of martensite formation and in stress *** the next 80 cycles,Se becomes more *** is accompanied by a slight change in the *** the contrary,Ni_(39)Fe_(19)Ga_(27)Co_(15)single crystals are characterized by high-strength characteristics,which lead to high Se stability during the first 20 loading/unloading ***,after 20 cycles,a strong degradation of the Se is observed through the formation of microcracks,which ultimately leads to the destruction of the *** results of work are replicable for cycling at different temperatures from all temperature ranges of superelasticity.

Objective:To assess the risk of aristolochic acid(AA)-associated cancer in patients with AA nephropathy(AAN).Methods:A retrospective study was conducted on patients diagnosed with AAN at Peking University First Hospital from January 1997 to December ***-term surveillance and follow-up data were analyzed to investigate the influence of different factors on the prevalence of *** primary endpoint was the incidence of liver cancer,and the secondary endpoint was the incidence of urinary cancer during 1 year after taking AA-containing medication to ***:A total of 337 patients diagnosed with AAN were included in this *** the initiation of taking AA to the termination of follow-up,39 patients were diagnosed with *** cases of liver cancer were observed throughout the entire follow-up period,with urinary cancer being the predominant type(34/39,87.17%).Logistic regression analysis showed that age,follow-up period,and diabetes were potential risk factors,however,the dosage of the drug was not significantly associated with urinary ***:No cases of liver cancer were observed at the end of ***,a high prevalence of urinary cancer was observed in AAN *** a direct causality between AA and HCC is challenging.

High-order corrections to the radiation-free dynamics of an electron in the strongly radiation-dominated regime

A system of reduced equations is proposed for electron motion in the strongly radiation-dominated regime for an arbitrary electromagnetic field *** approach developed here is used to analyze various scenarios of electron dynamics in this regime:motion in rotating electric and magnetic fields and longitudinal acceleration in a plane wave and in a plasma *** results obtained show that this approach is able to describe features of electron dynamics that are essential in certain scenarios,but cannot be captured in the framework of the original radiation-free approximation[Samsonov et al.,***.A 98,053858(2018)and *** and ***,*** 25,093109(2018)].The results are verified by numerical integration of the nonreduced equations of motion with account taken of radiation reaction in both semiclassical and fully quantum cases.

Systematic experimental study of the temperature dependence of viscosity and rheological behavior of water-based drilling fluids with nano-additives

The paper presents the results of a systematic study of the influence of nano-additives of various concentrations,average sizes and composition on the temperature dependence of the viscosity and rheological behavior of water-based drilling *** compositions of drilling fluids,such as water suspensions of various clay solutions and gammaxan-based polymer solutions,were *** nanoparticles of silicon and aluminum oxides were used as nano-additives at concentrations ranging from 0.25 to 3 wt%.The average nanoparticle size varied from 10 to 151 *** temperature of drilling fluids varied from 25℃ to 80℃.it is shown that the addition of nanoparticles to drilling fluids leads to a significant change in their rheological properties depending on the *** was found that with increasing temperature,the yield stress and consistency index of drilling fluids with nanoparticles increase,while the behavior index,on the contrary,*** behavior depends on the size of the *** the particle size increases,their influence on the temperature dependence of the drilling fluids’viscosity *** general,it is shown that the addition of nanoparticles makes the viscosity of drilling fluid more stable with regard to the *** is an essential fact for practical application.
