In this paper,we study the concept of split monotone variational inclusion problem with multiple output *** propose a new relaxed inertial iterative method with self-adaptive step sizes for approximating the solution of the problem in the framework of Hilbert *** proposed algorithm does not require the co-coerciveness nor the Lipschitz continuity of the associated single-valued ***,some parameters are relaxed to accommodate a larger range of values for the step *** some mild conditions on the control parameters and without prior knowledge of the operator norms,we obtain strong convergence result for the proposed ***,we apply our result to study certain classes of optimization problems and we present several numerical experiments to demonstrate the implementability of the proposed *** of the existing results in the literature could be viewed as special cases of our result in this paper.

Many methods have been proposed in the literature for solving the split variational inequality *** of these methods either require that this problem is transformed into an equivalent variational inequality problem in a product space,or that the underlying operators are ***,it has been discovered that such product space transformation may cause some potential difficulties during implementation and its approach may not fully exploit the attractive splitting nature of the split variational inequality *** the other hand,the co-coercive assumption of the underlying operators would preclude the potential applications of these *** avoid these setbacks,we propose two new relaxed inertial methods for solving the split variational inequality problem without any product space transformation,and for which the underlying operators are freed from the restrictive co-coercive *** methods proposed,involve projections onto half-spaces only,and originate from an explicit discretization of a dynamical system,which combines both the inertial and relaxation techniques in order to achieve high convergence ***,the sequence generated by these methods is shown to converge strongly to a minimum-norm solution of the problem in real Hilbert ***,numerical implementations and comparisons are given to support our theoretical findings.

our contribution in this paper is to propose an iterative algorithm which does not reqmre prior knowledge of operator norm and prove strong convergence theorem for approximating a solution of split common fixed point problem of demicontractive mappings in a real Hilbert space. So many authors have used algorithms involving the operator norm for solving split common fixed point problem, but as widely known the computation of these Mgorithms may be difficult and for this reason, authors have recently started constructing iterative algorithms with a way of selecting the step-sizes such that the implementation of the algorithm does not require the calculation or estimation of the operator norm. We introduce a new algorithm for solving the split common fixed point problem for demicontractive mappings with a way of selecting the step-sizes such that the implementation of the Mgorithm does not require the calculation or estimation of the operator norm and then prove strong convergence of the sequence in real Hilbert spaces. Finally, we give some applications of our result and numerical example at the end of the paper.

Worldwide economic development and population growth have led to unprecedented changes in urban land use in the twenty-first century. As satellite data become available at higher spatial (3–10 m) and temporal (1–3 days) resolution,new opportunities arise to map and quantify urban area changes. While deep learning (DL) models have recently shown great performance when dealing with satellite data,their training requires a lot of labeled data which are not necessarily available at global scale. Satellite benchmark datasets,commonly used to advance methods,provide labeled data,but are rarely used for mapping and area estimation outside the training data. In this study,we aim to utilize the Sentinel-2-based benchmark dataset,onera Satellite Change Detection (oSCD),to train a DL model and analyze its performance at local scale to map urban land use changes,estimate area of changes and provide characterization of changes. We apply the model over the Washington DC–Baltimore area for 2018–2019. We show that in just one year almost 1% of the total urban area underwent changes with the majority coming from the construction of commercial buildings,followed by residential buildings. Almost 10% of changes were attributed to the construction of new or renovation of existing schools.

ong>Introduction: ong>Intestinal parasitic infections significantly affect paediatric population globally with over 800 million children at risk. The chronic nature of these infestations is associated with chronic disabilities approaching 9 million Disability Adjusted Life Years (DALYs). Co-infection of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and intestinal parasitic infections adorned the pre-Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy (HAART) era resulting in impaired nutritional state and dysfunctional immune system, especially amongst affected children. The success of HAART in conjunction with other life-saving measures has improved the outcome of children living with HIV. This study aimed to evaluate the prevalence and pattern of parasitic infections among children living with HIV in Lagos. ong>Methodology: ong>Consecutive children attending the paediatric anti-retroviral clinic were enrolled. Socio-demographic and clinical characteristics elicited from the clinical examination were recorded. Fresh stool samples of the children were obtained and examined for intestinal parasites. Data were analyzed with the Statistics Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) 20 software. ong>Results: ong>A total of 102 children participated in the study with a majority being males (52.9%), in primary school (73.5%) and living in urban settings (82.4%). Six children were found to harbour intestinal parasites giving a prevalence of 5.9% with Ascaris lumbricoides (50%) and Entamoeba histolytica (33.3%) being the prevalent parasites seen. Children with a Body Mass Index (BMI) Z-score of intestinal parasitic infestations [p value oR 10.27, CI 1.72 - 61.20].ong> Conclusion:ong> The prevalence of intestinal infestation was 5.9% with Ascariasis being the commonest intestinal parasitosis in our study. Malnutrition was found to be significantly associated with its occurrence.

A comparative study of geometric and geostatistical methods for qualitative reserve estimation of limestone deposit

Mining projects especially relating to limestone deposits require an accurate knowledge of tonnage and grade,for both short and long-term *** is often difficult to establish as detailed exploration operations,which are required to get the accurate description of the deposit,are costly and time *** and mining engineers usually make use of geometric and geostatistical methods,for estimating the tonnage and grade of ore ***,explicit assessments into the differences between these methods have not been reported in *** bridge this research gap,a comparative study is carried out to compare the qualitative reserve of oyo-Iwa limestone deposit located in Nigeria,using geometric and geostatistical *** geometric method computes the reserve of the limestone deposit as 74,536,820 t(mean calcite,Cao grade=52.15)and 99,674,793 t(mean calcite,Cao grade=52.32),for the Northern and Southern zones of the deposit,*** the other hand,the geostatistical method calculates the reserve as 81,626,729.65 t(mean calcite,Cao grade=53.36)and 100,098,697.46 t(mean calcite,Cao grade=52.96),for the two zones,*** small relative difference in tonnage estimation between the two methods(i.e.,9.51%and 0.43%),proves that the geometric method is effective for tonnage *** contrast,the relative difference in grade estimation between the two methods(i.e.,2.32%and 1.26%)is not negligible,and could be crucial in maintaining the profitability of the *** geostatistical method is,therefore,more suitable,reliable and preferable for grade estimation,since it involves the use of spatial modelling and cross-validated *** addition,the geostatistical method is used to produce quality maps and three-dimensional(3-D)perspective view of the limestone *** quality maps and 3-D view of the limestone deposit reveal the variability of the limestone grade within the deposit,and it is useful for operational ma
