The Impact of Lifestyle Factors on Migraine Frequency and Severity in Neurology

Ob.ective: This systematic review examines the impact of lifestyle factors on migraine frequency and severity through a comprehensive analysis of lifestyle factors such as diet, physical activity, sleep patterns, stress, mental health, and environmental influences. Methods: We thoroughly searched Google Scholar, PUb.ED, Scopus, and Web.of Science datab.ses using keywords related to migraines and lifestyle factors. Keywords incorporated the b.olean operator “and” to narrow search results. Following the PRISMA guidelines, we identified, screened, and evaluated studies for inclusion, resulting in nine studies meeting the eligib.lity criteria. Results: A total of 4917 records were initially identified from Scopus (2786), Pub.ed (854), and Web.of Science (1277). Following deduplication, 3657 records underwent title screening, with 382 additionally screened b. ab.tract. Ultimately, 88 full-text articles were assessed, resulting in 9 studies meeting eligib.lity for qualitative synthesis: 7 prospective and 2 retrospective studies. Our findings highlight the multifaceted role of lifestyle factors in migraine pathophysiology and management. Dietary hab.ts, such as high-calorie, high-fat, and gluten-containing diets were linked to migraine triggers. Moderate physical activity showed b.neficial effects on migraine management, while intense exercise could exacerb.te symptoms. Poor sleep hygiene and insomnia were strongly associated with increased migraine frequency and severity. Chronic stress and poor mental health significantly contrib.ted to migraine exacerb.tion, with stress management techniques proving b.neficial. Environmental factors, including light, sound, weather changes, and allergens, were also identified as significant migraine triggers. Conclusions: Personalized lifestyle modifications, tailored to individual patient profiles, are crucial in managing migraines. Many methods have b.en proposed in the literature for solving the split variational inequality *** of these methods either require that this prob.em is transformed into an equivalent variational inequality prob.em in a product space,or that the underlying operators are ***,it has b.en discovered that such product space transformation may cause some potential difficulties during implementation and its approach may not fully exploit the attractive splitting nature of the split variational inequality *** the other hand,the co-coercive assumption of the underlying operators would preclude the potential applications of these *** avoid these setb.cks,we propose two new relaxed inertial methods for solving the split variational inequality prob.em without any product space transformation,and for which the underlying operators are freed from the restrictive co-coercive *** methods proposed,involve projections onto half-spaces only,and originate from an explicit discretization of a dynamical system,which comb.nes b.th the inertial and relaxation techniques in order to achieve high convergence ***,the sequence generated b. these methods is shown to converge strongly to a minimum-norm solution of the prob.em in real Hilb.rt ***,numerical implementations and comparisons are given to support our theoretical findings.

Hydro-Ethanol Extract of Persea americana Fruit Pulp Ameliorates Dyslipidaemia and Cardiotoxicity Exerted b. Alloxan-Induced Diab.tes Mellitus

Diab.tes-induced dyslipidaemia has b.en associated with an increased risk of atherosclerosis and coronary heart diseases. Persea americana fruit has b.en reported to possess anti-diab.tic properties. Therefore, this study assessed the lipid profile and likely cardio-protective effects of hydroethanolic extracts of P. americana fruits in alloxan-induced diab.tic Wistar rats. Thirty-five male rats (150 ± 30 g) were divided into 5 groups (n = 7) and treated orally as follows;groups I-II were normal animals treated with distilled water (0.3 ml/day) and P. americana (300 mg/kg) only respectively. Animals in groups III-V were made diab.tic using alloxan monohydrate (100 mg/kg i.p.) and treated orally with distilled water (0.3 ml/day), P. americana (300 mg/kg) and glib.nclamide (5 mg/kg) respectively for 21 days. Fasting b.ood glucose level was monitored prior to, after induction of diab.tes mellitus, and on day 21 post-treatment, respectively. Thereafter, retro-orb.tal b.ood samples were collected after anaesthesia and analysed for insulin, total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low density lipoprotein (LDL), high density lipoprotein (HDL) levels, apolipoproteins A1 and b. superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase activities, reduced glutathione (GSH), Vitamin C and malondialdehyde levels, respectively. VLDL, atherogenic index (AI) and Apob.A1 ratio were estimated mathematically. Pancreatic and cardiac structures were also investigated using Haematoxylin and Eosin stains. Treatment with P. ameriacana extracts reduced (p P. americana treated diab.tic group. The hydro-ethanol fruit extract of Persea americana attenuates diab.tes induced dyslipidaemia and reduces the susceptib.lity to cardiac impairment in experimental diab.tes mellitus.

Diminazene aceturate modified nanocomposite for improved efficacy in acute trypanosome infection

Ob.ective: To investigate the improved antitrypanocidal activity and toxicity of diminazene aceturate modified Nano drug in experimental rats. Methods: Aqueous leaf extract of Hyptis suaveolens was used to reduce gold tetrachloride to its nanoparticle size and this was characterized and formulates with naturally synthesized polyhydroxyb.tyrateas a Nano carrier. A total of thirty (30) alb.no rats were group into 6 (A-F) of 5 rats each & infected intraperitoneally with 0.2 mL of the inoculum containing ab.ut 1×103 Trypanosoma b.ucei b.ucei parasites per 0.2 mL of b.ood. Groups A and b.were treated with 3 and 6 minutes released orange PHb. Groups C and D were treated with 15 and 30 minutes released mango PHb.formulated tab.et while Groups E and F were negative (untreated) and standard drug (Dininazene aceturare) respectively. Results: The free drug and modified orange synthesized polyhydroxy b.tyrate shows antitrypanocidal activities b. reducing the replicating rate of the parasite as compared to infect untreated. While the modified- mango synthesized shows increasing order of replication. There were significant increases in all the haematological parameter evaluated in the infected treated groups compared to infect untreated. b.t no significant difference (Pb.erved in the Catalase activity in the serum and liver of all the groups whereas, the modified orange synthesized shows significant decrease in other enzymes activities evaluated when compared with the free drug, mango synthesized and the infected untreated groups. Conclusion: Orange synthesized modified diminazene aceturate show efficacy as free drug with limited toxicity that can enhance the therapeutic.
