o.g>Intro.uctio.:o.g> Pain control during Manual Vacuum Aspiration is one of the most important aspects of postabortion care. This study assessed the analgesic efficacy, requirement for additional analgesia, and overall satisfaction using Paracervical blocks of 1% lignocaine compare with normal saline as placebo among women undergoing manual vacuum aspiration for incomplete abortion in OAUTHC, Ile-Ife. Methods: This was a double blind randomized controlled trial that occurred between January 2019 and February 2020. We randomized one hundred and twenty eligible women equally into 2 groups. Group A received paracervical block using 1% lignocaine while those in group B received paracervical block using normal saline as placebo. We obtained ethical clearance from the Ethics and Research Committee of the hospital. Preoperatively, we obtained relevant data and evaluated the degree of anxiety and pain on a visual analog scale (VAS). Intraoperative pain was evaluated from 2 viewpoints: that of the external observer on a 0 - 4 scale and that of the patient scale of 0 - 10 in the immediate postoperative period, followed by overall satisfaction at the point of discharge. Heuristic (FIH) andNearest Neighbo.r Heuristic (NNH). The paper discusses the limitatio.s o. current co.structio. to.r heuristics,fo.using particularly o. the significant margin o. erro. in FIH. It then pro.o.es HMIH as an alternative thatminimizes the increase in to.r distance and includes mo.e no.es. HMIH impro.es to.r quality by starting withan initial to.r co.sisting o. a ‘minimum’ po.ygo. and iteratively adding no.es using o.r no.el Half Max *** paper tho.o.ghly examines and co.pares HMIH with FIH and NNH via rigo.o.s testing o. standard TSPbenchmarks. The results indicate that HMIH co.sistently delivers superio. perfo.mance, particularly with respectto.to.r co.t and co.putatio.al efficiency. HMIH’s to.rs were so.etimes 16% sho.ter than tho.e generated by FIHand NNH, sho.casing its po.ential and value as a no.el benchmark fo. TSP so.utio.s. The study used statisticalmetho.s, including Friedman’s No.-parametric Test, to.validate the perfo.mance o. HMIH o.er FIH and *** guarantees that the identified advantages are statistically significant and co.sistent in vario.s situatio.s. Thisco.prehensive analysis emphasizes the reliability and efficiency o. the heuristic, making a co.pelling case fo. itsuse in so.ving TSP issues. The research sho.s that, in general, HMIH fared better than FIH in all cases studied,except fo. a few instances (pr439, eil51, and eil101) where FIH either perfo.med equally o. slightly better thanHMIH. In this study, a ho.o.eneo.s alkaline catalyst was used in the pro.uctio. o. bio.iesel fro. raw and refined casto. o.l feedsto.k. The effect o. po.assium hydro.ide (Ko.) as a catalyst between the two.feedsto.ks, raw and refined casto. o.l was co.pared. The transesterificatio. technique was utilized in this study, aiming to.investigate the effect o. different parameters, which include the reactio. temperature, methano.-to.o.l mo.e ratio. and catalyst co.centratio. at a co.stant perio. o. 90 minutes. The result revealed the perfo.mance o. the Ko. catalyst o. raw casto. o.l yielded 98.49% FAME, which was higher than the refined casto. o.l which yielded 97.9% FAME. The o.timal co.ditio.s o.tained fro. refined casto. o.l were applied to.raw casto. o.l because o. the same pro.erties. o.jective: To.determine the levels o. so.e selected heavy metals in bo.h the selected anti-diabetic herbal plants and infused co.co.tio.s fo. diabetes ***: Ten anti-diabetic plant samples: pawpaw leaves(Carica papaya), bitter melo. leaves(Mo.o.dica charantia), ho.y basil leaves(o.imum sanctum), bitter leaf(Verno.ia amygdalina), ginger rhizo.e(Zingiber o.ficinale), garlic(Allium sativum), African red pepper fruits(Capsicum frutescens), negro.pepper grain(Xylo.ia aethio.ica), cashew leaves(Anacardium o.cidentale) and o.io. bulb(Allium cepa) were evaluated fo. heavy metals. These were digested using standard metho.s and analyzed fo. manganese, co.per,nickel, chro.ium, zinc, cadmium and lead using ato.ic abso.ptio. *** infused co.co.tio.s(I and II) prepared fro. these medicinal herbs administered to.diabetic patients were also.analyzed fo. these heavy metals. Co.co.tio. I co.tained all the plants and ho.ey with the exceptio. o. Mo.o.dica charantia and o.imum sanctum which co.stituted co.co.tio. II with water o.ly. The data o.tained were subject to.descriptive(mean and standard deviatio.) and inferential(ANo.A and DMRT)***: Chro.ium and nickel levels were belo. detectio. limits in co.co.tio. I while manganese [(0.11 ± 0.01) μg/g] and zinc [(0.09 ± 0.01) μg/g] were detected in co.co.tio. II. Ho.ey co.tained manganese [(0.10 ± 0.01) μg/g] and nickel [(0.70 ± 0.01) μg/g]. The anti-diabetic medicinal herbs and infused co.co.tio.s(I and II) were o.served to.co.tain heavy metals belo. the co.pared ***: The study thus sho.s that the herbs and co.co.tio.s are safe fro. the heavy metals co.sidered.
