Background:A challenge in current forestry is adaptation of managed forests to climate change,which is likely to alter the main processes of forest dynamics,*** *** pine will probably lose some parts of its distribution area in ***,two native oaks,pedunculate and sessile may maintain or expand the area of their occurrence in central *** utilization of spontaneous(not initialized by foresters)oak regeneration in Scots pine stands for the creation of next generation stands is one of the adaptation methods to climate *** factors influencing pedunculate oak regeneration are well known,but there is a lack of knowledge on the relation between soil enzyme activity and the establishment and development of the *** aim of the study was to identify the relationships among stand characteristics,herb species composition,soil enzyme activity and the establishment or recruitment of oak regeneration in Scots pine-dominated ***:The one of the most influential factors shaping the oak seedling count was dehydrogenase activity in the humus *** found that plots without litter and fern cover had higher seedling *** raspberry ground cover and birch crown projection area had a positive influence on oak seedling *** factor indicating good conditions for high density of oak saplings was phosphatase activity in the organic *** same enzyme activity but in humus horizon described conditions in which more numerous recruits were ***:The activity of soil enzymes can be used as the predictor of the establishment and advancement of oak regeneration but also could be seen as a new dimension of oak *** general density of spontaneous oak regeneration was not sufficient for the creation of new generation forest stands dominated by oak,but it is possible to use them as admixtures in new generation stands.

Characteristics of 100Cr6 bearing steel after thixoforming process performed with prototype device

A device based on a high pressure die-casting(HPDC) machine was constructed,with a capacity to produce thixo-casts from *** inductive heating to the required semi-solid temperature range,the samples were transported in a protective argon atmosphere to a cylinder of modified HPDC and injected into a pre-heated *** steel 100Cr6(after forging) was used as the feedstock *** metallographic analysis of the steel showed a homogenous structure within a whole volume characterized by a grain size between 2 μm and 8 μ*** scanning calorimetry(DSC) analysis allowed to estimate the process temperature for thixoforming at 1 390 ?C which was attributed to about 45% of a liquid *** such technological parameters after the semi-solid processing the microstructure consisted of globular grains of size from 15 μm to 40 μ*** microstructure of globules indicated predominant presence of martensite(about 76% volume fraction) with residual austenite between plates.X-ray analysis confirmed that the thixo-cast samples contain mainly martensite and residual *** hardness of the initial forged sample was HRC 27 and after the thixoforming process it was HRC 60,which confirms the presence of martensite and *** thixo-casts were subjected to low tempering,at temperature of 150 °C for a period of 2 h,in order to remove stresses created during the process of thixoforming and to increase *** hardness after tempering was HRC ***,in order to identify phases present in the thixo-casts,transmission electron microscopy(TEM) was carried out.

The influence of intrinsic defects of 1T-TaS_(2)on charge density waves(CDWs)is studied using scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy(STM,STS),angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy(ARPES),and density functional theory(DFT).We identify several types of structural defects and find that most have a local character limited to a single CDW site,with a single exception which effectively behaves as a dopant,leading to band-bending and affecting multiple neighboring *** only one type of defect can be observed by STM topographic imaging,all defects are easily resolved in STS *** results indicate modulation of the Mott band gap commensurate with the CDW and breaking of the three-fold symmetry of electronic *** calculations(with included Coulomb interactions)are used to investigate the electronic structure,focusing on both sulfur vacancy and oxygen-sulfur *** sulfur vacancy system,characterized with a metallic behavior,is identified as the origin of one of the experimentally observed ***,the effect of oxidation of 1T-TaS_(2)depends on the substitution site,leading to the heterogeneity of electronic properties.
