The expression of quantitative traits of a line of a crop depends on its genetics,the environment where it is sown and the interaction between the genetic information and the environment known as *** to maximize food production,new varieties are developed by selecting superior lines of seeds suitable for a specific *** selection is a computational technique for developing a new variety that uses whole genome molecular markers to identify top lines of a crop.A large number of statistical and machine learning models are employed for single environment trials,where it is assumed that the environment does not have any effect on the quantitative ***,it is essential to consider both genomic and environmental data to develop a new variety,as these strong assumptions may lead to failing to select top lines for an *** we devised three novel deep learning frameworks incorporating GxE within the deep learning model and predicted line-specific yield for an *** the process,we also developed a new technique for identifying environmentspecific markers that can be useful in many applications of environment-specific genomic *** result demonstrates that our best framework obtains 1.75 to 1.95 times better correlation coefficients than other deep learning models that incorporate environmental data depending on the test ***,the feature importance analysis shows that environmental information,followed by genomic information,is the driving factor in predicting environment-specific yield for a *** also demonstrate a way to extend our framework for new data types,such as text or soil *** extended model also shows the potential to be useful in genomic selection.

Every year more than 5 million people worldwide become hemiplegic as a direct consequence of stroke. This neurological deficiency, often leads to a partial or a total loss of standing up abilities and/or ambulation skills. In order to propose new supporting solutions lying between the wheelchair and the walker, this paper presents a technological strategy for designing an assistive device for a biomechanical study of the Sit-To-Stand movement （STS）. The control algorithms are implemented in TwinCAT runtime environment. The communi- cation between the component and the control computer is ensured via the EtherCAT fieldbus. The aim of this architecture lies in the fact that it allows a quick development of a research prototype with the same safety issues found on an industrial machine. An experimental test of the STS strategy is presented and discussed in order to evaluate the strategy.

Cryogenic propellants LOx/H2 are used at very high pressure in rocket engine combustion. The description of the combustion process in such application is very complex due essentially to the supercritical regime. Ideal gas law becomes invalid. In order to try to capture the average characteristics of this combustion process, numerical computations are performed using a model based on a one-phase multi-component approach. Such work requires fluid properties and a correct definition of the mixture behavior generally described by cubic equations of state with appropriated thermodynamic relations validated against the NIST data. In this study we consider an alternative way to get the effect of real gas by testing the volume-weighted-mixing-law with association of the component transport properties using directly the NIST library data fitting including the supercritical regime range. The numerical simulations are carried out using 3D RANS approach associated with two tested turbulence models, the standard k-Epsilon model and the realizable k-Epsilon one. The combustion model is also associated with two chemical reaction mechanisms. The first one is a one-step generic chemical reaction and the second one is a two-step chemical reaction. The obtained results like temperature profiles, recirculation zones, visible flame lengths and distributions of OH species are discussed.

Background:Individual tree extraction from terrestrial laser scanning(TLS)data is a prerequisite for tree-scale estimations of forest biophysical *** task currently is undertaken through laborious and time-consuming manual assistance and quality *** study presents a new fully automatic approach to extract single trees from large-area TLS *** data-driven method operates exclusively on a point cloud graph by path finding,which makes our method computationally efficient and universally applicable to data from various forest ***:We demonstrated the proposed method on two openly available ***,we achieved state-of-the-art performance on locating single trees on a benchmark dataset by significantly improving the mean accuracy by over 10% especially for difficult forest ***,we successfully extracted 270 trees from one hectare temperate *** validation resulted in a mean Intersection over Union(mIoU)of 0.82 for single crown segmentation,which further led to a relative root mean square error(RMSE%)of 21.2% and 23.5% for crown area and tree volume estimations,***:Our method allows automated access to individual tree level information from TLS point *** proposed method is free from restricted assumptions of forest *** is also computationally efficient with an average processing time of several seconds for one million *** is expected and hoped that our method would contribute to TLS-enabled wide-area forest qualifications,ranging from stand volume and carbon stocks modelling to derivation of tree functional traits as part of the global ecosystem understanding.

The present paper is an attempt to define the contours of the right macroeconomic strategy for China. In a nutshell, we believe that the package includes a decrease in saving, with a focus on private saving, an increase in the supply of services, in particular health services, and an appreciation of the RMB. This is why we refer to this strategy as a ＂three-handed approach ＂： action on the fiscal and budgetary front, accompanied by currency revaluation. We start by asking how the Chinese economy got to where it is, what the strategy has been since the beginning of the reforms, and what the main characteristics of the economy are today. We then ask what is the desirable path for the future, and which are the main policy trade-offs implied by such a path. Finally, we put the various pieces together to describe what we believe is a consistent policy package.

Locally advanced prostate cancer entails a risk of local,regional and systemic relapse requiring the combination of a Ioco-regional treatment,namely external beam radiotherapy(EBRT) to control the pelvic-confined disease,combined with a systemic therapy,namely androgen-deprivation therapy(ADT),to potentiate irradiation and to destroy the infra-clinical androgen-dependant disease outside the irradiated *** phases Ⅲ randomized trials have paved the way in establishing the indications of this combined approach,which requires a long term ADT(≥2 years) with LHRH *** duration of ADT may be reduced to 6 months should there be a significant comorbidity,a reluctance from the patient or a poor tolerance.A multidisciplinary approach will enable physicians to tailor the treatment strategy and a close cooperation between the specialists and the general practitioners will be set up to prevent as much as possible the side-effects of ADT.

Behavioral syndrome in a native and an invasive hymenoptera species

Recent studies have focused on the role of behavior in biological invasions. Individuals may differ consistently in time for several behavioral traits （personality） which covary （behavioral syndrome） resulting in different behavioral types, some of them favoring invasion. Social hymenopterans have a strong potential to be invaders and their success depends primarily on the foundresses＇ ability to found viable colonies. They are expected to be active, explorative and bold for optimally establishing their nest. In Europe, 2 homet species coexist： the native Vespa crabro and the invasive Vespa velutina. These 2 species may compete for nesting sites and we suggest that the initial success of V. velutina has been favored by its behavior in outperforming V. crabro for the traits involved in nest initiation. Here, we （i） defined the personality of V. crabro and V：. velutina, （ii） tested for the existence of behavioral syndrome in these species, and （iii） compared their performances using an open-field test. Our results show that V. crabro foundresses behave consistently but not V. velutina; this lack of consistency being mainly due to reduced variance among individuals. This result questions the possibility of detecting consistent behavioral differences in species having recently undergone a strong bottleneck. Both species exhibit the same correlations between activity, boldness and exploration and V. velutina clearly outperforms 14. crabro for all traits. Our results suggest that activity, boldness, and exploration are implicated in both hornet nest initiation and invasion process which contributed to explain why social hymenopterans are so successful at colonization.
