We report the div.rgent synthesis of benzannulated 2,8-dioxabicyclo[3.2.1]octanes and 2,3-dihydrobenzofurans using the concept of extended Corey-Chaykov.ky *** this concept,2-hydroxychalcones were treated with the Corey ylide prov.ding highly reactiv. donor-acceptor cyclopropanes that were introduced in a one pot manner for further transformations.

The rapid dev.lopment of spectral-imaging methods in scanning probe,electron,and optical microscopy in the last decade hav. giv.n rise for large multidimensional *** many cases,the reduction of hyperspectral data to the lower-dimension materialsspecific parameters is based on functional fitting,where an approximate form of the fitting function is known,but the parameters of the function need to be ***,functional fits of noisy data realized v.a iterativ. methods,such as least-square gradient descent,often yield spurious results and are v.ry sensitiv. to initial ***,we demonstrate an approach for the reduction of the hyperspectral data using a deep neural network approach.A combined deep neural network/least-square approach is shown to improv. the effectiv. signal-to-noise ratio of band-excitation piezoresponse force microscopy by more than an order of magnitude,allowing characterization when v.ry small driv.ng signals are used or when a material’s response is weak.

Seasonal v.riation and topography of the mixed layer in the Sea of Japan are studied by comparison of results from long-term observ.tion data analysis and from numerical simulation with the MHI oceanic model (Shapiro. 1998. Marine Hydrophysical Journal, 6: 26-40). The data are retriev.d from Oceanographic A tlas of the Bering Sea, Okhotsk Sea, and Japan/East Sea (Rostov. Rostov. Dmitriev., et al. 2003. Pacific Oceanography, 1(1):70-72). The simulated and long-term patterns are compared. An impact of surface buoyancy flux, wind, and conv.rgence/div.rgence of surface currents upon the mixed layer in the Sea of Japan is analyzed.

Measurement of the electrical conductiv.ty of electrolytes and heterogeneous materials containing them is accompanied by numerous physical and electrochemical processes, complicating measuring and interpretation of data. As a result, the measurement of the electrical conductiv.ty of such a system is a difficult and not finally resolv.d problem. The new method of resistance measurement of the electrolytic systems is substantiated and tested on example of heterogeneous electrolytic system “lignin-calcium chloride water solution” in this article. The method is based on measurement of resistance of the electrolytic system at different v.ltages (DC) on the cell and the consequent approximation of the acquired data taking into consideration v.lume charges and potential barriers arising on the boarders of electrodes and electrolytic materials. Extrapolation of the resistance to the limiting small current lets one obtain a characteristic v.lue of the activ. resistance of the electrolytic system. The method is technically simple, inexpensiv. and has sev.ral adv.ntages compared to the methods based on AC measurements.

Constant solutions to Yang-Baxter equation are inv.stigated ov.r Grassmann algebra for the case of 6-v.rtex R-matrix. The general classification of all possible solutions ov.r Grassmann algebra and particular cases with 2,3,4 generators are studied. As distinct from the standard case, when R-matrix ov.r number field can hav. a maximum 5 nonv.nishing elements, we obtain ov.r Grassmann algebra a set of new full 6-v.rtex solutions. The solutions leading to regular R-matrices which appear in weak Hopf algebras are considered.

In this work,shear strain modeling in materials consisting of a thin polymer layer(~15 nm),adhesiv. bonded to a rigid substrate,considered not to be impacted by deformation,was performed.A discrete-continuum model of chains system with a giv.n stiffness with polar groups is *** polymer chain was considered in the framework of the persistene model,and the polar groups were based on the lattice model on the tetragonal *** was assumed that the main contribution to the energy of interchain interactions is due to the potential of the polar groups and was calculated using the Metropolis *** potential interactions between the nearest polar groups of chains included the energy of dipole–dipole interactions(Keesom energy)and the Lennard–Jones *** is taken into account that the possible orientations of the polar groups are determined by the av.rage elongation of the *** showed that the dependence of free energy on the interchain distance has two *** first minimum is characterized by the orientational ordering of the polar groups,the second—by their disordered *** depth and position of the minima depend on temperature,bending stiffness of the chain,the modulus of the dipole moment of the polar groups and the depth of the potential well in the Lennard–Jones energy.A step-by-step simulation of shear strain in a polymer layer in an orientationally disordered state was carried *** obtained stress–strain diagrams make it possible to estimate the v.lue of the elastic limit and also to determine the stresses at the points of phase transitions from a disordered to an orientationally ordered state.

Microbial Fuel Cells（MFCs） are a promising technology for treating wastewater in a sustainable manner. In potential applications, low temperatures substantially reduce MFC performance. To better understand the effect of temperature and particularly how bioanodes respond to changes in temperature, we inv.stigated the current generation of mixed-culture and pure-culture MFCs at two low temperatures, 10°C and 5°C. The results implied that the mixed-culture MFC sustainably performed better than the pure-culture（Shewanella） MFC at 10°C, but the electrogenic activ.ty of anodic bacteria was substantially reduced at the lower temperature of 5°C. At 10°C, the maximum output v.ltage generated with the mixed-culture was 540–560 m v. which was 10%–15% higher than that of Shewanella MFCs. The maximum power density reached 465.3 ± 5.8 m W/m^2 for the mixed-culture at10°C, while only 68.7 ± 3.7 m W/m^2 was achiev.d with the pure-culture. It was shown that the anodic biofilm of the mixed-culture MFC had a lower ov.rpotential and resistance than the pure-culture MFC. Phylogenetic analysis disclosed the prev.lence of Geobacter and Pseudomonas rather than Shewanella in the mixed-culture anodic biofilm, which mitigated the increase of resistance or ov.rpotential at low temperatures.

The aim of the present study is to inv.stigate mental activ.ty of the brain. The article deals with external remote-field manifestation of the subjectiv. state of a person. There are statistically significant results obtained which demonstrate contactless remote influence of the subjectiv. state of a person on erythrocyte sedimentation rate in different blood groups, Rh-positiv. and Rh-negativ. blood, and under different conditions of exposure. The authors set up a hypothesis of the existence of molecular structures in the blood, which can prov.de a remote response to expressed subjectiv. state of a person.
