Distribution area and taxonomic borders within the species complex Spermophilus erythrogenys sensu lato remain *** evidence suggests that red-cheeked ground squirrels of Southeast Kazakhstan are remarkably different in terms of the acoustic structure of their alarm calls from the red-cheeked ground squirrels of the Kurgan region in *** this study,we analyzed the differences in the acoustic structure of the alarm call and mitochondrial DNA(complete control region,1005-1006 bp and complete cytochrome b gene,1140 bp)in 3 populations of red-cheeked ground squirrels(Tara,Altyn-Emel and Balkhash),all located within areas isolated by geographical barriers in Southeast *** found that the alarm call variables were similar between the 3 study populations and differed by the maximum fundamental frequency(8.46±0.75 kHz)from the values(5.62±0.06 kHz)reported for the red-cheeked ground squirrels from the Kurgan region of Rus*** in mtDNA control region was only 3%and variation in cytochrome b gene was only 2.5%.Phylogenetic trees based on cytochrome b gene polymorphism of 44 individuals from the study area and adjacent territories indicated 3 clades with high(98-100%)bootstrap support:“intermedius,”“brevicauda”and“iliensis”).We conclude that the 3 study populations in Southeast Kazakhstan belong to the clade intermedius and suggest a taxonomical revision of the species complex Spermophilus erythrogenys sensu lato,including analyses of nuclear DNA and alarm calls for populations of the brevicauda and iliensis clades.

Potassium carbonate-based sorbents are prospective materials for direct air capture(DAC).In the present study,we examined and revealed the influence of the temperature swing adsorption(TSA)cycle conditions on the CO_(2) sorption properties of a novel aerogel-based K_(2)CO_(3)/ZrO_(2) sorbent in a DAC *** was shown that the humidity and temperature drastically affect the sorption dynamic and sorption capacity of the *** a temperature at the sorption stage was 29℃ and a water vapor pressure P_(H2O) in the feed air was 5.2 mbar(1 bar=105 Pa),the composite material demonstrated a stable CO_(2) sorption capacity of 3.4%(mass).An increase in sorption temperature leads to a continuous decrease in the CO_(2) absorption capacity reaching a value of 0.7%(mass)at T=80℃.The material showed the retention of a stable CO_(2) sorption capacity for many cycles at each temperature in the *** PH2O in the inlet air from 5.2 to 6.8 mbar leads to instability of CO_(2) sorption capacity which decreases in the course of 3 consecutive TSA cycles from 1.7%to 0.8%(mass)at T=29℃.A further increase in air humidity only facilitates the deterioration of the CO_(2) sorption capacity of the material.A possible explanation for this phenomenon could be the filling of the porous system of the sorbent with solid reaction products and an aqueous solution of potassium salts,which leads to a significant slowdown in the CO_(2) diffusion in the composite sorbent *** investigate the regeneration step of the TSA cycle in situ,the macro ATRFTIR(attenuated total reflection Fourier-transform infrared)spectroscopic imaging was applied for the first *** was shown that the migration of carbonate-containing species over the surface of sorbent occurs during the thermal regeneration stage of the TSA *** movement of the active component in the porous matrix of the sorbent can affect the sorption characteristics of the composite *** revealed features make it possible

Plagioclase is the major rock-forming mineral constituting the Earth's crust,whereas anorthite(CaAl_(2)Si_(2)O_(8))is a common minerals in lunar highlands crust,meteorites,possibly in some comets and on *** anorthite,two high-temperature polymorphs of CaAl_(2)Si_(2)O_(8)are known:dmisteinbergite and svyatoslavite,which are found in burnt coal dumps,meteorites and *** we present the results of detailed studies(quenching experiments,elemental analysis,Raman spectroscopy and in situ high temperature single crystal X-ray diffraction(up to 1000℃))on naturally co-occurring CaAl_(2)Si_(2)O_(8)polymorphs(anorthite,dmisteinbergite and svyatoslavite)from a burnt coal dump in Kopeisk,*** polymorphs were found in all natural samples and obtained upon heating of dmisteinbergite(unquenchableβ-dmisteinbergite and quenchable y-dmisteinbergite).It was shown that Ca coordination differs significantly in CaAl_(2)Si_(2)O_(8)polymorphs,resulting in a different capacity to host Ba and possibly other large ion lithophile *** our data on natural samples with the previously published data on natural and synthetic compounds,we propose a new scheme of CaAl_(2)Si_(2)O_(8)polymorphs *** results indicate that CaAl_(2)Si_(2)O_(8)polymorphs could be used for temperature estimations for both Earth and planetary sciences.

In this paper the following information interpretation of uncertainty relation is proposed: if one bit of information was extracted from the system as a result of the measurement process, then the measurement itself adds an additional uncertainty (chaos) into the system equaled to one bit. This formulation is developed by calculating of the Shannon information entropy for the classical N-slit interference experiment. This approach allows looking differently at several quantum phenomena. Particularly, the information interpretation is used for explanation of entangled photons diffraction picture compression.

A theoretical model of chemical and vibrational kinetics of hydrogen oxidation is suggested based on the consistent account for the vibrational nonequilibrium of HO2 radical which forms in result of bimolecular recombination H + O2 = HO2 in the vibrationally excited state. The chain branching H + O2 = O + OH and inhibiting H + O2 + M = HO2 + M formal reactions are considered (in the terms of elementary processes) as a general multi-channel process of forming, intramolecular energy redistribution between modes, relaxation, and monomolecular decay of the comparatively long-lived vibrationally excited HO2 radical which is capable to react and exchange of energy with another components of the mixture. The model takes into account the vibrational nonequilibrium for the starting (primary) H2 and O2 molecules, as well as the most important molecular intermediates HO2, OH, O2(1D), and the main reaction product H2O. The calculated results are compared with the shock tube experimental data for strongly diluted H2-O2 mixtures at 1000 T p various compositions and conditions using different methods. It is shown that the hydrogen-oxygen reaction proceeds in absence of vibrational equilibrium, and the vibrationally excited HO2 radical acts as a key intermediate in the principally important chain branching process. For T vibrational nonequilibrium of HO2 radical is the essence of this process.

Determination of Iron in Water Solution by Time-Resolved Femtosecond Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy

The influence of the energy of femtosecond laser pulses on the intensity of Fe I （371.99 nm） emission line and the continuous spectrum of the plasma generated on the surface of Fe^3＋ water solution by a Ti： sapphire laser radiation with pulse duration 〈45 fs and energies up to 7 mJ is determined. A calibration curve was obtained for Fe3＋ concentration range from 0.5 g/L to the limit of detection in water solution, and its saturation was detected for concentrations above 0.25 g/L, which is ascribed to self-absorption. The 3σ- limit of detection obtained for Fe in water solution is 2.6 mg/L in the case of 7 mJ laser pulse energy. It is found that an increase of laser pulse energy insignificantly affects on LOD in the time-resolved LIBS and leads to a slight improvement of the limit of detection.

Two-dimensional(2D)magnetic materials promise unconventional properties and quantum phases as well as advances in ultracompact *** of 2D magnets often reaches a single monolayer but in general can go beyond this limit,as demonstrated by 2D magnetism of submonolayer Eu superstructures coupled with *** question is whether the submonolayer magnetism constitutes a general ***,we demonstrate that regular Eu lattices form a class of 2D magnets displaying various structures,stoichiometries,and chemical *** synthesized and studied a set of Eu superstructures on Ge(001).Their magnetic properties are consistent with the emergence of a magnetic order such as ferro-or *** particular,control over the magnetic transition temperature by weak magnetic fields indicates the 2D nature of the *** together,Eu/Ge and Eu/Si superstructures seed a nucleus of the research area addressing the emergence of magnetism in submonolayer chemical species.

Optical coherence tomography(OCT)is employed in the diagnosis of skin ***,quantitative image features extracted from OCT images might be used as indicators to classify the skin *** the present paper,we investigated intensity-based,texture-based and fractalbased features for automatically classifying the melanomas,basal cell carcinomas and pigment *** estimating equations were used to test for differences between the skin tumors.A modified p value ofved in basal cell carcinomas and pigment nevi as compared with *** decrease of contrast,entropy and fractal dimension was also observed in basal cell carcinomas and pigment nevi as compared with *** results suggest that the selected quantitative image features of OCT images could provide useful information to differentiate basal cell carcinomas and pigment nevi from the *** research is warranted to determine how this approach may be used to improve the classification of skin tumors.
