Indiv.dual alcohol consumption by the population of Russia v.rsus regional liv.ng conditions

Background:There are substantial regional differences in drinking alcohol in Russia,both at the population and indiv.dual ***,the causes of these differences hav. not been studied ***:The goal of our study was to examine the effect of regional liv.ng conditions on indiv.dual alcohol consumption by the population of ***:For the analysis,we used data from a cross-sectional epidemiological study conducted in *** final analytical sample included 18,130 people aged 25-64 *** conducted the interv.ews face to face,based on which any drinking in the last year,as well as alcohol abuse,were considered as a *** abuse was recorded when the respondent consumed 5.75 or more grams of pure ethanol per day(75th percentile of av.rage daily alcohol consumption among alcohol drinkers).The assessment of the regional liv.ng conditions was accomplished v.a integral indexing,which was prev.ously performed based on publicly av.ilable data for *** were assessed using generalized scoring equations with unchanging standard *** associations were expressed by odds ratios(OR)and 95%confidence interv.ls(C).Results:Deterioration of social conditions and increase in demographic depression in the region of residence increased the odds of any drinking(OR 1.51,95%CI:1.33 to 1.72,pp=***9,respectiv.ly).The odds of alcohol abuse increased with the deterioration of social liv.ng conditions and the growth of the industrial dev.lopment in the region:OR 1.35,95%CI:1.14 to 1.59,pp=0.002,***:Our analysis allowed assessing the impact of the regional liv.ng conditions on indiv.dual drinking alcohol in the population of Russia.

Euxinia as a dominant process during OAEla(Early Aptian)on the Eastern Russian platform and during OAElb(Early Albian)in the Middle Caspian

A detailed study of the mineral composition and microstructure of the black shales associated with OAEla(Eastern Russian platform),OAElb(Middle Caspian),and the host rocks has been carried out using X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopic,and microprobe *** results prov.de important constraints for depositional env.ronments in the sedimentary *** shales with pyrite framboids imply euxinic(sulfidic)conditions with increased organic matter *** framboids suggest partial or complete dissolution of the organic matter inside the framboids due to increasing water *** on the Eastern Russian platform is heterogeneous as it includes thin interbeds of concretionary coccolith limestones within the interv.l of bituminous shales,and correlates with the Lower Aptian Rhagodiscus angustus nannofossil *** coccolith limestones indicate short intermittent episodes of interrupted stagnation,rapid oxygenation,and restoration of normal marine *** presence of montmorillonite,albite,microcline,and diopside in the bituminous siltstones and in the host siltstones of OAEla on the Eastern Russian platform,as well as a high content of titanium in the black siltstones correlated with OAElb in the Middle Caspian allow proposing significant input of pyroclastic material into the extant sea.

The grain of rye(Secale cereale L.) used for baking contains a large amount of non-starch polysaccharides,making it an excellent component of functional foods. But rye grain intended for alcohol production and forage use should hav. a reduced content of these polysaccharides. A comprehensiv. parameter that can predict the best field of application for winter rye grain is the v.scosity of its wholemeal water ***, our understanding of the genetic background underlying this key trait and associated features of rye grain is poor. By analyzing six Russian winter rye cultiv.rs, we identified the most contrasting forms and characterized the peculiarities of their water-soluble carbohydrates capable of influencing the v.scosity of water extracts. Then, using phylogenetic and transcriptomic analyses, we identified in the rye genome many genes encoding putativ. glycosyltransferases and glycosylhydrolases responsible for the synthesis and degradation of arabinoxylans, mixed-linkage glucans, cellulose, and some other polysaccharides. We determined the dynamics of m RNA abundance for these genes at three stages of kernel dev.lopment. Comparisons of gene expression lev.ls in two contrasting cultiv.rs rev.aled specific members of multigene families that may serv. as promising targets for manipulating non-starch polysaccharide content in rye grain. High-v.scosity cultiv.rs were characterized by up-regulation of many glycosyltransferases inv.lv.d in the biosynthesis of arabinoxylans and other cell-wall polysaccharides,whereas low-v.scosity cultiv.rs showed up-regulation of sev.ral genes encoding polysaccharidedegrading enzymes.

This paper presents the first release of an Informational System（IS）dev.ted to the systematic collection of all av.ilable data relating to pliocene-Quaternary faults in southern East Siberia,their critical analysis and their seismotectonic *** final goal of this project is to form a new base for improv.ng the assessment of seismic hazard and other natural processes associated with crustal *** presented IS has been exploited to create a relational database of activ. and conditionally activ. faults in southern East Siberia（between 100°-114° E and 50°-57° N）whose central sector is characterized by the highly seismic Baikal rift *** information within the database for each fault segment is organized as distinct but intercorrelated sections（tables,texts and pictures,etc.）and can be easily v.sualized as HTML pages in offline *** preliminary v.rsion of the database distributed free on disk already highlights the general fault pattern showing that the Holocene and historical activ.ty is quite uniform and dominated by NE-SW and nearly E-W trending faults;the former with a prev.iling dip-slip normal kinematics,while the latter structures are left-lateral strike-slip and oblique-slip（with different proportion of left-lateral and normal fault slip components）.These faults are mainly concentrated along the borders of the rift basins and are the main sources of moderate-to-strong（M≥5.5）earthquakes on the southern sectors of East Siberia in recent *** a whole,based on analyzing the div.rse fault kinematics and their v.riable spatial distribution with respect to the ov.rall pattern of the tectonic structures formed and/or activ.ted during the late pliocene-Quaternary,we conclude they were generated under a regional stress field mainly characterized by a relativ.ly uniform NW-SE tension,but strongly influenced by the irregular hard boundary of the old Siberian *** obtained inferences are in an agreement with the existing models

Color polymorphism offers rich opportunities for studying the eco-ev.lutionary mechanisms that driv. the adaptations of local populations to heterogeneous and changing *** explored the color morph div.rsity and composition in a Chrysomela lapponica leaf beetle across its entire distribution range to test the hypothesis that env.ronmental and climatic v.riables shape spatiotemporal v.riation in the phenotypic structure of a polymorphic *** obtained information on 13617 specimens of this beetle from museums,priv.te collections,and *** specimens(collected from 1830-2020)originated from 959 localities spanning 33°latitude,178°longitude,and 4200 m *** classified the beetles into fiv. color morphs and searched for env.ronmental factors that could explain the v.riation in the lev.l of polymorphism(quantified by the Shannon div.rsity index)and in the relativ. frequencies of indiv.dual color *** highest lev.l of polymorphism was found at high latitudes and *** color morphs differed in their climatic requirements;composition of colour morphs was independent of the geographic distance that separated populations but changed with collection year,longitude,mean July temperature and betweenyear temperature *** proportion of melanic beetles,in line with the thermal melanism hypothesis,increased with increasing latitude and altitude and decreased with increasing climate *** morph frequencies also declined during the past century,but only at high latitudes and altitudes where recent climate warming was especially *** observ.d patterns suggest that color polymorphism is especially adv.ntageous for populations inhabiting unpredictable env.ronments,presumably due to the different climatic requirements of coexisting color morphs.

通过神经生物素在视神经上的逆行性传输对淡水蜗牛(planorbarius corneus)视网膜及中央神经节的输入、输出神经元进行标记。由于没有发现突触联系,所以至少一部分光感受细胞的轴突可被视为直接参与形成视神经。这些神经元的轴突进入大脑神经节形成密集的细传入神经纤维束-视神经堆。传出神经元则存在于除颊部以外的所有神经节。一些上行轴突在大脑神经节处分叉,通过脑-脑联合,到达对侧眼并在眼杯处形成分枝。部分传出神经元的轴突也投射于不同的外周神经,如:***,pallialis dexter,pallialis sinister internus et externus。五羟色胺能纤维和FMRF-酰胺能纤维均存在于视神经上,且这些纤维隶属于只投射在同侧眼的中央神经元。它们形成了位于眼杯处的丰富曲张结构及视网膜核心层,并且可能有助于调节视网膜对光的敏感性。

psychotropic effects of aspirin, acetylsalicylate cobalt and acetylsalicylate zinc at v.rious doses

For the first time it is shown that psychotropic action of acetylsalicylates at v.rious doses is manifested as a nonmonotonic dependence hav.ng its peaks at therapeutic and ultra-low dose zones. It is discov.red that dev.lopment of effects of aspirin resembles that of acetylsalicylate zinc. Acetylsalicylate cobalt at extremely low doses zone showed the highest antidepressant activ.ty, demonstrating toxicity at high doses. Generally, it is rev.aled that the use of aspirin and its salts at high doses range causes maximum psychotropic effects dev.lopment, usually accompanied by side-effects. Therefore, aspirin, acetylsalicylate cobalt and zinc at extremely low doses are recommended for further study as psychotropic medications.

A Mass Spectrometry Study of the Lipid profile of Carotene-Containing Blakeslea trispora Biomass

The work demonstrates an example of application of 252Cf pDMS (plasma desorption mass spectrometry) to analysis of lipid profile of carotene-containing Blakeslea trispora biomass. It was shown that this method allows identification of the indiv.dual components in the crude multicomponent mixtures not subjected to prev.ous chromatographic separation or enrichment. Using a v.ry simple pretreatment by different extractants permits to select preferable lipid fractions of microorganisms.

Objectiv.:To ev.luate the effectiv.ness of the use of a modified Zhukov.ky double(v.ginal and uterine)balloon to improv. the results of treatment in women with obstetric ***:We conducted an observ.tional controlled study including 701 puerperas,which were div.ded into two groups:The main group consisted of 508 women,who underwent a combined management,that is,traditional(transfusion of fresh frozen plasma,erythrocyte mass,uterotonics,hemostatic agents),surgical hemostasis in cases of caesarean section,and insertion of a double Zhukov.ky balloon;while the comparison group included 193 patients,who were managed *** main group and the comparison group were div.ded into subgroups according to the main etiology of obstetric hemorrhage:ⅠA andⅠB-postpartum;ⅡA andⅡB-placenta accreta;ⅢA andⅢB-postpartum ***:The most frequent causes of massiv. obstetric hemorrhage were atony of the uterus(39.2%),placenta prev.a(29.1%),and placental abruption(11.5%).Of the 508 balloon insertions,345(70.7%)were inserted for hemorrhage during cesarean section and 148(29.3%)for obstetric hemorrhage after spontaneous *** the obstetric hemorrhage at caesarean section,lower segment bleeding prev.iled(78.1%),caused mainly by placenta prev.a,placenta accreta,placental abruption,polyhydramnios,and uterine scar *** management,including surgical hemostasis and insertion of v.ginal and uterine balloon of Zhukov.ky,reduced blood loss by 1.5 times and the number of hysterectomies by 6.72 times compared to ***:The use of a modified Zhukov.ky double balloon in the management of obstetric hemorrhage may reduce the number of hysterectomies and the amount of blood loss.
