Early efficacy of individual regimens containing bedaquiline in patients with drug resistant tuberculosis

Objective:To evaluate early efficacy of sputum conversion within 6 months of individual regimens containing bedaquiline in patients with drug resistant ***:We conducted a retrospective study among patients with drug resistant tuberculosis who were receiving individual regimens containing *** primary outcome was sputum conversion of both smear and culture within 6 months of *** used medical records of drug resistant tuberculosis patients from January 2020 to December *** study was conducted at *** Hospital,Indonesia from August to October ***:In this study,44 eligible drug resistant tuberculosis patients were initiated on regimens containing *** were 52.3%males and the median age was 45.5 *** rates of previous treatment(70.5%)and lung cavity(36.4%)were *** most common companion drugs included clofazimine,cycloserine,levofloxacin,and *** smear and culture conversion was seen in 79.4%and 82.1%at the 2nd month,*** than 97%patients had smear and culture conversion at the end of 6 ***:Among drug resistant tuberculosis patients,individual regimens containing bedaquiline were associated with high rates of smear and culture conversion at the end of 6 *** efficacy of regimens containing bedaquiline can be used to predict cure rate at the end of treatment.

BACKGROUND One of the efforts to reduce hypertension rates in the community is through an educational campaign that refers to the NIH's National Heart,Lung,and Blood Institute curricula or abbreviated as ***,during the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic,one of the hardest hit areas is health promotion,and there is a significant obstacle regarding the most effective way to transfer knowledge,attitude and practice towards society without transmitting the *** To evaluate the impact of the virtual anti-hypertensive educational campaign towards knowledge,attitude,and the practice of hypertension management in the primary care setting during the COVID-19 *** An online action research with a randomized crossover-controlled trial using a pretest-posttest control group *** study was conducted in October 2020-April *** population in this study were patients with hypertension who were treated in the Mojo primary health care setting.A purposive sampling technique was done to receive 110 participants using an online questionnaire and invitation *** A total of 110 participants were included in the analysis,55 in the intervention group and 55 in the control *** the Virtual Anti-Hypertensive Educational Campaign implementation,the only parameter that showed significant improvement was knowledge and attitude(P<0.001).There is no significant change in the practice parameters(P=0.131).CONCLUSION The Virtual Anti-Hypertensive Educational Campaign implementation in our study population seems to be effective to improve knowledge and attitude of participants,nevertheless,this program seems to be ineffective to improve the practice of hypertension management aspect in *** study with longer durations and more comprehensive programs need to be done to scrutinize the clinical impact of this program nationwide.

Soft corals are well-known as excellent sources of marine-derived natural *** them,members of the genera Sar-cophyton,Sinularia,and Lobophytum are especially attractive targets for marine natural product *** this review,we reported the marine-derived natural products called cembranoids isolated from soft corals,including the genera Sarcophyton,Sinularia,and ***,we reviewed 72 reports published between 2016 and 2020,comprising 360 compounds,of which 260 are new compounds and 100 are previously known compounds with newly recognized *** novelty of the organic molecules and their relevant biological activities,delivered by the year of publication,are *** the genera presented in this report,Sarcophyton *** the most cembranoid diterpenes;thus,they are considered as the most important soft corals for marine natural product *** display diverse biological activities,includ-ing anti-cancer,anti-bacterial,and *** cembranoids have been credited with a broad range of biological activities,they present a huge potential for the development of various drugs with potential health and ecological benefits.
