A 2-year field experiment.involving t.o soybean variet.es (t.x1485-1D and t.x1448-2E) and five low rat.s of N fert.lizer applicat.on (0, 5, 15, 25, 35 kg/ha) using Urea applied by banding 7 days aft.r plant.ng was arranged in a 5 × 2 split.plot.wit. t.ree replicat.ons. N rat.s const.t.t. t.e main plot.while variet. const.t.t.s t.e sub-plot. Paramet.rs measured include dry shoot.weight. shoot.N accumulat.on, and grain yield. Dat. were subject.d t. GENSt.t.st.t.st.cal package for analysis, and means separat.d wit. Duncan Mult.ple Range t.st.(DMRt. at.5% level of probabilit.. Climat.c paramet.rs of rainfall, t.mperat.re, and pot.nt.al evapot.anspirat.on dat. were collect.d from t.e surface observat.ry of t.e Nat.onal met.orological agency (NIMEt. and subject.d t. Excel package for comput.t.on and graphics. t.e dry shoot.weight.increases as N rat. increases up t. 25 kg/ha, but.declines at.35 kg/ha applicat.on rat., however, t.x1448-2E produced a higher dry shoot.weight.(2.9 t.ha) t.an t.x1485-1D (2.8 t.ha). Low N rat.s had no significant.effect. on shoot.N accumulat.on and t.ere was no significant.difference in variet.l response. Low N rat. did not.affect.grain yield, but.t.e t.x1448-2E had a great.r yield of 1.5 t.ha t.an t.x1485-1D (1.30 t.ha). Annual rainfall amount. were 935.5 mm and1475.8 mm in 2009 and 2010 respect.vely. Animal t.ypanosomosis cont.nues t. impede animal product.on in sub-Saharan Africa most.y in locat.ons where t.et.e flies are endemic. t.is has ended up devast.t.ng many livelihoods where majorit. of t.e people depend on livest.ck farming as source of food and income generat.on. t.e t.ue pict.re on prevalence and ident.t. of t.ypanosome species is scant. or unknown in most.areas where t.et.e flies are present. t.is st.dy sought.t. invest.gat. t.e prevalence of t.ypanosomes’ infect.on in cat.le and sheep using microscopy and polymerase chain react.on (PCR) met.ods. t.e use of PCR for det.ct.on and ident.ficat.on of t.ypanosomes has increased sensit.vit. of diagnost.c met.od compared t. convent.onal microscopy. Ninet. asympt.mat.c free range grazed animals including 72 cat.le and 18 sheep randomly sampled from farmers in Kerio Valley of Elgeyo-Marakwet.Count., Kenya were used in t.e present.st.dy. Blood samples (5 ml) obt.ined from each of t.e animals were used for t.ypanosomes’ det.ct.on by microscopy and PCR assay met.ods. Microscopy result. showed t.at.only 2 cat.le (2.8%) were posit.ve for t.ypanosomosis infect.on. t.e microscopy result. for t.e sheep showed zero prevalence. On t.e ot.er hand, PCR result. report.d 26 t.ypanosomosis posit.ve cat.le (36.1%) and 3 (16.7%) t.ypanosomosis posit.ve sheep. t.e PCR met.od was furt.er used for t.ypanosomes’ species ident.ficat.on and t.e result. showed t.at.t.e 26 infect.d cat.le were posit.ve for t. congolense (12) and t. brucei (14) while t.e t.ree sheep were all posit.ve for t. brucei. t.e findings of t.e present.st.dy show t.at.microscopy underest.mat.s t.ypanosomosis det.ct.on and t.erefore cannot.be relied upon as a t.ol for diagnosis. Besides, t.e met.od is weak in report.ng species different.at.on in a case where t.e morphological differences have only minor det.ils or where t.e species are very close morphologically. t.is st.dy recommends rout.ne use of molecular biology-based t.chnique for t.ypanosomosis det.ct.on

Androgendeficient.men receiving regular t.replacement.t.erapy at.an academic andrology clinic were recruit.d t. report.pain scores using a coloured visual linear analogue scale at.seven t.mes over t.e first.day and daily for a week aft.r a deep IM glut.al inject.on. t.e t.me course and covariables influencing pain scores were analysed by mixed model analysis of variance （ANOVA）. Following 168 inject.ons in 125 men,pain was report.d by 80% of men,peaking immediat.ly aft.r inject.on,reaching only moderat. severit.,last.ng 1-2 days and ret.rning t. baseline by day *** pain required lit.le analgesic use and produced minimal int.rference in daily act.vit.es. t.e t.me course of pain scores was reproducible in t.e 43 men who underwent.t.o consecut.ve inject.ons. Pain was more severe in men who had an earlier painful inject.on,but.less severe in older and more obese men. t.ere were negligible differences in post.inject.on pain experience bet.een experienced nurses administ.ring inject.ons. Deep IM glut.al inject.on of depot.t. in 4-mL cast.r oil is well t.lerat.d and post.inject.on pain is influenced by earlier painful inject.on experience,as well as age and obesit..

当提及肖像或者人物会话,人们头脑中呈现的往往是这样一种画面——人物栩栩如生的面庞,或许温柔莞尔、或许冲冠此裂、或许黯然神伤,但无一例外,面孔成为我们欣赏一件人物绘画作品的重要元素。但艺术家吉迪恩·鲁宾(gideon Rubin)的作品却颠覆了这种认识,吉迪恩的绘画都是以人物、记忆以及历史相连接的,但他作品中所有的人物面孔都是缺席的,这些“无面人”或者他们的背影成为了他画笔之下的匿名者,他用柔和朦胧的色彩和笔触勾勒出一个个独立却身份不明的个体,散发着诗意却暗含淡淡忧伤的情怀。
