We present an azimuthal-rotation-controlled dynamic nanoinscribing(ARC-DNI)process for continuous and scalable fabrication of asymmetric nanograting structures with tunable periods and shape profiles.A sliced edge of a nanograting mold,which typically has a rectangular grating profile,slides over a polymeric substrate to induce its burrfree plastic deformation into a linear *** this continuous nanoinscribing process,the“azimuthal angle,”that is,the angle between the moving direction of the polymeric substrate and the mold’s grating line orientation,can be controlled to tailor the period,geometrical shape,and profile of the inscribed *** modulating the azimuthal angle,along with other important ARC-DNI parameters such as temperature,force,and inscribing speed,we demonstrate that the mold-opening profile and temperature-and time-dependent viscoelastic polymer reflow can be controlled to fabricate asymmetric,blazed,and slanted nanogratings that have diverse geometrical profiles such as trapezoidal,triangular,and ***,period-and profile-tunable ARC-DNI can be utilized for the practical fabrication of diverse optical devices,as is exemplified by asymmetric diffractive optical elements in this study.

BACKGROUND Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)is a chronic inflammatory condition of the gastrointestinal tract,with tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-αplaying a key role in its ***,a decoy receptor for TNF,is used to treat inflammatory *** secretome derived from adipose-derived stem cells(ASCs)has anti-inflammatory effects,making it a promising therapeutic option for *** To investigate the anti-inflammatory effects of the secretome obtained from ASCs synthesizing etanercept on colon cells and in a dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)-induced IBD mouse *** ASCs were transfected with etanercept-encoding mini-circle plasmids to create etanercept-producing *** secretory material from these cells was then tested for anti-inflammatory effects both in vitro and in a DSS-induced IBD mouse *** This study revealed promising results indicating that the group treated with the secretome derived from etanercept-synthesizing ASCs[Etanercept-Secretome(Et-Sec)group]had significantly lower expression levels of inflammatory mediators,such as interleukin-6,Monocyte Chemoattractant Protein-1,and TNF-α,when compared to the control secretome(Ct-Sec).Moreover,the Et-Sec group exhibited a marked therapeutic effect in terms of preserving the architecture of intestinal tissue compared to the *** These results suggest that the secretome derived from ASCs that synthesize etanercept has potential as a therapeutic agent for the treatment of IBD,potentially enhancing treatment efficacy by merging the anti-inflam-matory qualities of the ASC secretome with etanercept's targeted approach to better address the multifaceted pathophysiology of IBD.

The increasing demand for short charging time on electric vehicles has motivated realization of fast chargeable lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).However,shortening the charging time of LIBs is limited by Li^(+)intercalation process consisting of liquid-phase diffusion,de-solvation,SEI crossing,and solid-phase ***,we propose a new strategy to accelerate the de-solvation step through a control of interaction between polymeric binder and solvent-Li^(+)*** this purpose,three alkali metal ions(Li^(+),Na^(+),and K^(+))substituted carboxymethyl cellulose(Li-,Na-,and K-CMC)are prepared to examine the effects of metal ions on their *** lowest activation energy of de-solvation and the highest chemical diffusion coefficient were observed for ***,Li-CMC cell with a capacity of 3 mAh cm^(-2)could be charged to>95%in 10 min,while a value above>85%was observed after 150 ***,the presented approach holds great promise for the realization of fast charging.

During the last decade,the generation and accumulation of petabase-scale high-throughput sequencing data have resulted in great challenges,including access to human data,as well as transfer,storage,and sharing of enormous amounts of *** promote data-driven biological research,the Korean government announced that all biological data generated from government-funded research projects should be deposited at the Korea BioData Station(K-BDS),which consists of multiple databases for individual data ***,we introduce the Korean Nucleotide Archive(KoNA),a repository of nucleotide sequence *** of July 2022,the Korean Read Archive in KoNA has collected over 477 TB of raw next-generation sequencing data from national genome *** ensure data quality and prepare for international alignment,a standard operating procedure was adopted,which is similar to that of the International Nucleotide Sequence Database *** standard operating procedure includes quality control processes for submitted data and metadata using an automated pipeline,followed by manual *** ensure fast and stable data transfer,a high-speed transmission system called GBox is used in ***,the data uploaded to or downloaded from KoNA through GBox can be readily processed using a cloud computing service called *** seamless coupling of KoNA,GBox,and Bio-Express enhances the data experience,including submission,access,and analysis of raw nucleotide *** not only satisfies the unmet needs for a national sequence repository in Korea but also provides datasets to researchers globally and contributes to advances in *** KoNA is available at https://***/kona/.

Utilizing the spatiotemporal features contained in extensive trajectory data for identifying operation modes of agricultural machinery is an important basis task for subsequent agricultural machinery trajectory *** the present study,to effectively identify agricultural machinery operation mode,a feature deformation network with multi-range feature enhancement was ***,a multi-range feature enhancement module was developed to fully explore the feature distribution of agricultural machinery trajectory ***,to further enrich the representation of trajectories,a feature deformation module was proposed that can map trajectory points to high-dimensional space to form feature ***,EfficientNet-B0 was used to extract features of different scales and depths from the feature map,select features highly relevant to the results,and finally accurately predict the mode of each trajectory *** validate the effectiveness of the proposed method,experiments were conducted to compare the results with those of other methods on a dataset of real agricultural *** the corn and wheat harvester trajectory datasets,the model achieved accuracies of 96.88%and 96.68%,as well as F1 scores of 93.54%and 94.19%,exhibiting improvements of 8.35%and 9.08%in accuracy and 20.99%and 20.04%in F1 score compared with the current state-of-the-art method.

Background The intestinal epithelium performs essential physiological functions, such as nutrient absorption, and acts as a barrier to prevent the entry of harmful substances. Mycotoxins are prevalent contaminants found in ani-mal feed that exert harmful effects on the health of livestock. Zearalenone(ZEA) is produced by the Fusarium genus and induces gastrointestinal dysfunction and disrupts the health and immune system of animals. Here, we evaluated the molecular mechanisms that regulate the effects of ZEA on the porcine intestinal *** Treatment of IPEC-J2 cells with ZEA decreased the expression of E-cadherin and increased the expression of Snai1 and Vimentin, which induced Snail1-mediated epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition(EMT). In addition, ZEA induces Snail-mediated EMT through the activation of TGF-β signaling. Quaternary intraplate magmatism formed several volcanic islands and seamounts,including Dokdo(DD),Ulleungdo(UD),Simheungtack(ST),Anyongbok,and Isabu in the southwest of the East Sea back-arc *** this study,we present whole-rock geochemical,zircon U–Pb age,and in situ O–Hf isotope data for the submerged volcanic rocks from DD,UD,and ST to provide new insights into the eruption timing of these volcanoes and constrain the magma evolution *** samples used in this study were trachytes and exhibited ferroan,alkalic,and metaluminous to weakly peraluminous *** showed light rare earth element(REE)-enriched patterns with(La/Yb)N ratios of 25.3–31.7 and mostly negative Eu anomalies in a chondrite-normalized REE *** addition,they were enriched in large-ion lithophile elements and high field strength elements;they exhibited positive Pb anomalies and strongly negative Ba,Sr,P,and Ti *** zircons yielded a weighted-mean 206Pb/238U age of 2.61,0.348–0.704,and 2.76–2.94 Ma for the DD,UD,and ST trachytes,*** zircons exhibited lowerδ^(18)O values than normal depleted mantle values,regardless of the crystallization age and spatial distribution of ***δ^(18)O values showed no correlation with U contents or Th/U ratios,indicating that the lowδ^(18)O signatures were of primary magmatic *** Hf isotopic compositions of the zircons were relatively heterogeneous but predominately characterized by positive eHf *** O–Hf mixing modeling revealed that low-δ^(18)O rocks with positive eHf values from the UD and ST volcanoes were derived from a hybrid source of recycled juvenile crustal materials with low-δ^(18)O and positive eHf signatures and an enriched mantle source with normalδ^(18)O and negative eHf *** juvenile oceanic crust in the source was likely metasomatized by seawater at high temperatures prior to *** contrast,the felsic magma that formed the DD volcanoes may have assimilated with regional

One of the challenges of remote sensing and computer vision lies in the three-dimensional(3-D)reconstruction of individual trees by using automated methods through very high-resolution(VHR)data ***,a successful and complete 3-D reconstruction relies on precise delineation of the trees in two *** this paper,we present an original approach to detect and delineate citrus trees using unmanned aerial vehicles based on photogrammetric digital surface models(DSMs).The symmetry of the citrus trees in a DSM is handled by an orientationbased radial symmetry transform which is computed in a unique ***,we propose an efficient strategy to accurately build influence regions of each tree,and then we delineate individual citrus trees through active contours by taking into account the influence region of each *** also present two efficient strategies to filter out erroneously detected canopy regions without having any height *** are carried out on eight test DSMs composed of different types of citrus orchards with varying densities and canopy *** comparisons to the state-of-the-art approaches reveal that our proposed approach provides superior detection and delineation performances through supporting a nice balance between precision and recall measures.
