Introduction: Pre-eclampsia is a complication of pregnancy that generally occurs in the third trimester. It is associated with a maternal and foetal mortality rate of around 27%. In view of the grim picture painted by this condition for both mother and newborn, studies have been carried out into the early detection of patients at risk of developing pre-eclampsia. These make it possible to introduce pregnancy-specific monitoring and preventive strategies to reduce the incidence of the condition. Objective: To establish the link between placental ultrasound characteristics and the onset of pre-eclampsia. Methodology: A multicentre prospective cohort study was conducted in two hospitals in Yaoundé, namely the Yaoundé Gynaecological Obstetrics and Paediatrics Hospital and the Nkolndongo Health and Social Animation Centre, in the gynaecology and radiology departments over a period of 11 months, from October 2022 to August 2023. It included pregnant women who had undergone obstetric ultrasound between 12 and 18 weeks’ gestation. In addition to routine obstetric ultrasound, we performed obstetric Doppler measurements in these patients. The resistance index of the left and right uterine arteries, the umbilical artery and the placental volume were the characteristics sought. At the end of this examination, two groups were formed: cases (pathological Doppler group) and controls (normal Doppler group). Blood pressure and urine dipstick were taken at each antenatal visit until delivery, then during the immediate postpartum period and finally at 7 days, 21 days and 42 days after delivery. Results: Sixty-seven (67) patients were included. Of these, 35 (47.8%) had pathological Dopplers. Sixteen patients had arterial hypertension associated with proteinuria and were therefore labelled as pre-eclampsia (PE). This gives a prevalence of 23.9%. Cytomegalovirus(CMV) infection is a common complication after liver transplantation, and it is associated with multiple direct and indirect effects. Management of CMV infection and disease has evolved over the years,and clinical guidelines have been recently *** antiviral prophylaxis and a pre-emptive treatment strategy are options for prevention. A currentlyrecruiting randomized clinical trial is comparing the efficacy and safety of the two prevention strategies in the highest risk D+R- liver recipients. Drug-resistant CMV infection remains uncommon but is now increasing in incidence. This highlights the currently limited therapeutic options, and the need for novel drug *** and antiviral drugs with novel mechanisms of action are being investigated, including letermovir(AIC246) and brincidofovir(CMX001). This article reviews the current state of CMV management after liver transplantation, including the updated practice guidelines, and summarizes the data on investigational drugs and vaccines in clinical development.

Wild animals use their habitat according to ecological pressures such as predation, resource availability or tempera- ture, yet little is known about how individuals use their environment in semi free-ranging conditions. We assessed whether a semi-free ranging group of Tonkean macaques Macaca tonkeana used its wooded parkland in a heterogeneous way. GIS and GPS were used to determine whether individuals adjusted their behaviors according to variation in environmental constraints over time of day and the course of a year. We demonstrated that social and resting activities occurred in high altitude areas and areas with a high density of bushes, whereas the group foraged in areas where the density of bushes and grass was low. In general, the animals used areas exposed to the sun that were not on a slope. Semi-free ranging Tonkean macaques seemed to behave like their wild counterparts in terms of activity budget, land use per activity and thermoregulation

This paper reveals that the implementation of inclusive education is an unfinished challenge,both within the system and for individual *** process of changing practices,by continually questioning the school’s responsibility for the(re)production of inequalities,exclusion,and unequal social relations,is riddled with obstacles,unpredictable situations,and strong *** particular,the researchers point out that many systemic mechanisms of school culture contribute to replicating and reifying hierarchical school experiences and exacerbating processes of institutional discrimination against immigrant backgrounds and/or racialized *** empirical research presented also highlights the school staff’s deficit thinking toward immigrant students and their *** results show that staff tend to use linguistic and cultural gaps between students and the school system to explain academic *** that as it may,the researchers as well as the school actors and students interviewed in this paper suggest multiple ways to improve inclusion in the school context,stressing the importance of giving voice to the various actors in order to move toward institutional transformation.

In this article, after introducing fuzzy-dual numbers, functions and functionals, the optimization of a fuzy-dual functional is considered through an extension of Euler’s condition. Then, once uncertainty is imbedded in a fuzzy-dual dynamical system, the optimization of such systems is considered, leading to an extended Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation to characterize optimal fuzzy-dual solutions.

Earth observation satellites produce large amounts of images/data that not only must be processed and preserved in reliable geospatial platforms but also efficiently disseminated among partners/researchers for creating derivative products through collaborative *** can face up this challenge in a cost-effective manner by using cloud ***,outages and violations of integrity/confidentiality associated to this technology could *** article presents FedIDS,a suite of cloud-based components for building dependable geospatial *** Fed component enables organizations to build shared geospatial data infrastructure through federation of independent cloud resources to withstand outages,whereas IDS avoids violations of integrity/confidentiality of images/data in sharing information and collaboration workflows.A FedIDS prototype,deployed in Spain and Mexico,was evaluated through a study case based on a satellite imagery captured by a Mexican antenna and another based on a satellite imagery of a European observation *** acquisition,storage and sharing of images among users of the federation,the exchange of images between Mexican and Spanish sites and outage scenarios were *** evaluation revealed the feasibility,reliability and efficiency of FedIDS,in comparison with available solutions,in terms of performance,storage consume and integrity/confidentiality when sharing images/data in collaborative scenarios.
