There have been several developments in determining the spontaneous combustion liability of coal. Most of the methods of concern have purely been based on the internal properties of the coal itself. The relation between the crossing-point method and the electrical resistance of coal was examined here to outline the spontaneous combustion tendency of coal, The electrical resistance property of coal was looked into as a decision-making parameter of the interaction matrix concept for the final decision on the spontaneous combustion tendency.

Detailed studies indicate that the main rock type of the Neogene high-potassium calc-alkaline volcanic rock association from north Qiangtang is andesite, dacite and rhyolite. They belong to typical crust-generation magmatic system and originate from the special thickened crust of the Tibetan Plateau by dehydration melting. This group of rocks exhibits LREE enrichment but no remarkable Eu anomaly that shows their source region should be a thickened deep crust consisting of eclogitic mass group, implying that the crust had been thickened and an eclogitic deep crust had been formed during the Neogene period in Qiangtang area. This understanding is important and significant to making further discussion on the uplift mechanism and continental dynamics of the Tibetan Plateau.

Background:Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the most common cause of cancer-related death in saudi Arabia. our study aimed to investigate the patterns of HCC and the effect of TNM staging, Alfa-fetoprotein (AFP), and Child-Turcotte Pugh (CTP) on patients' overall survival (os).Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 43 HCC patients at a single oncology center in saudi Arabia from 2015 to 2020. All patients had to fulfill one of the following criteria: (a) a liver lesion reported as definitive HCC on dynamic imaging and/or (b) a biopsy-confirmed diagnosis.Results:The mean patient age of all HCC cases was 66.8 with a male-to-female ratio of 3.3:1. All patients were stratified into two groups: viral HCC (n = 22, 51%) and non-viral HCC (n = 21, 49%). Among viral-HCC patients, 55% were due to HBV and 45% due to HCV. Cirrhosis was diagnosed in 79% of cases. Age and sex did not significantly statistically differ in os among viral and non-viral HCC patients (-value > 0.05). About 65% of patients had tumor size >5 cm during the diagnosis, with a significant statistical difference in os (-value = 0.027). AFP was >400 ng/ml in 45% of the patients. There was a statistically significant difference in the os in terms of AFP levels (-value = 0.021). A statistically significant difference was also observed between the CTP score and os (-value = 0.02). CTP class B had the longest survival. BsC was the most common treatment provided to HCC patients followed by sorafenib therapy. There was a significant statistical difference in os among viral and non-viral HCC patients (-value = 0.008).Conclusions:The most common predictors for os were the underlying cause of HCC, AFP, and tumor size. Being having non-viral etiology, a tumor size >5 cm, an AFP > 400 ng/mL, and a CTP score class C were all negatively associated with os.

Densification of agricultural residues into briquettes as the alternative renewable feedstock can improve their physico-mechanical and storage properties as solid *** paper presents the physico-mechanical properties of the composite briquettes made from corncob and rice *** samples of corncob and rice husk were collected,sorted and pulverised into fines of 0.25,1.00 and 1.75 mm particle *** fines were blended at mixing ratios of 80꞉20,70꞉30,60꞉40,and 50꞉50,bonded with 5%starch on weight percentage basis and compressed at compaction pressures of 25,50,and 65 kPa to produce the briquette *** briquette made from 80:20 ratio of corncob to rice husk,0.25 mm particle size and 65 kPa pressure exhibited the highest compressive strength of 111 kN/m2 and the least of 39 kN/m^(2) from briquette with 50꞉50 ratio of corncob to rice husk,1.75 mm particle size and 25 kPa *** briquette made from 50꞉50 ratio of corncob to rice husk,0.25 mm particle size and 65 kPa pressure had the highest water resistance capacity,and the least from briquette of 80꞉20 ratio of corncob to rice husk,1.75 mm particle size and 25 kPa *** resulting physico-mechanical qualities of the produced corncob and rice husk briquettes suggested that they could be used as the solid fuels for domestic and industrial applications.

The AVo inversion analysis of pre-stack seismic data of“XY”field located within the offshore,Niger Delta Basin has been considered in this research work with the aim of using AVo inversion to delineate gas reservoirs within the *** different inversion techniques are carried out in order to obtain accurate reservoir *** conventional AVo inversion analysis of the field do not identify the gas reservoirs clearly as there are other zones without gas with similar signatures,however,the cross-plots analysis of elastic parameters and the inverted volumes are used to delineate two gas reservoirs at 2000 and 2100 ***,the inversion techniques help to map the reservoir zone in a better way by increasing the vertical *** inversion analysis as used in this research help for better understanding of the physical properties of the delineated reservoirs.
