The paper presents the experimental research findings for the patterns of collisions of water droplets with pressed tableted samples used as substrates and with small particles of a pyrolyzing solid *** coal samples were ***-substrate interactions were studied when varying the droplet diameter in the range from 1 to 4 mm and velocity from 0.5 to 4 m/*** corresponded to the Weber number range of *** coal tablet surface temperature was varied from 20 to 700℃.In the interactions of water droplets(0.7-1.5 mm in diameter,pre-collision velocity from 1 to 3 m/s)with coal particles(with a size of 0.2-1 mm,pre-collision velocity 0.7-2 m/s),the temperature of the latter was varied in the range of 330-480℃.The following regimes of the interaction of droplets with solid particles during chemical reactions and phase transformations were distinguished:spreading/agglomeration and break-up/*** in the characteristics of the interaction of water droplets with coal particles at varying temperatures were ***-particle interaction regime maps for B(We),We(oh)and We(Ca)were *** collision regime boundaries were described using fitted curves that can be utilized to develop the existing mathematical models of droplet-particle collisions in *** was established that the gaseous volatile production in coal pyrolysis has a modest effect on the regimes and characteristics of the droplet destruction in the temperature range under consideration(20-700℃).

Nowadays,the application of renewable energies such as solar energy in the building sector has increased notably considering the adverse impacts of climate change on human life;hence many studies have focused on the application of photovoltaic panels in *** the current study,a 3D computational fluid dynamics(CFD)model has been developed to evaluate the performance of a newly designed building-integrated photovoltaic(BIpV)*** the negative influence of overheating on the lifespan and performance of pV panels,their passive air cooling has been ***,the potential of rooftop-mounted solar panels in passive ventilation of buildings by generating natural convective currents has been *** developed CFD model takes into consideration the effects of radiation,conduction,and buoyancy-driven natural convective currents generated by solar pV panels which are heated due to the exposure to solar radiation heat *** results suggest that applying a high surface emissivity for the part of the roof beneath the pV panels intensifies the natural convective currents which in turn provides better cooling for pV panels with higher cooling effects at higher solar heat *** to a 34%increase in the convective mass flow rate and a 3 K decrease in the mean temperature of the panels were attained by modifying the emissivity of roof *** a 3 K decrease in the operating temperature of the pV panels can enhance their efficiency and lifespan by about 1.56%and 21%,*** on the operating conditions and system characteristics,the BIpV system yielded an air change rate(ACH)in the range of 3-13 which was considered to be highly prevalent in providing the required passive ventilation for a wide range of *** was also observed that the flow dynamics inside the building were affected by both the amount of solar heat load incident on the solar panels and the emissivity of the roof surface behind the panels.

The variety of newly synthesized diamides of dipicolinic acid(DpA)bearing methyl-and oxymethyl substituents in various positions of phenyl ring was investigated as potential ligands for liquid-liquid extraction of rare earth metal ions and as membrane active compounds in plasticized polymeric membranes of potentiometric *** is found that scandium is extracted with 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid diamides similarly to heavy lanthanides,while yttrium is extracted together with light group *** shows high selectivity for the separation of cadmium/zinc,lead/nickel or copper/nickel *** four out of six studied ligands demonstrate significant potentiometric sensitivity towards scandium,yttrium and lanthanides in 10^(-7)-10^(-3)mol/L concentration range in nitric acid *** trends in sensitivity values vary depending on a ligand structure and the highest values are observed for Sc^(3+)and heavy *** to the evaluated selectivity Sm^(3+)is the most preferred ion,while La^(3+)is the most *** differences in sensor behavior in rare earth metal solutions assume that such devices can be applied in sensor arrays for potentiometric analysis of lanthanide mixtures.

A series of organized multilayers have been formed by the alternative adsorption of positively charged poly(dimethyldiallylammonium chloride) (pDAC) and purple membrane (pM) fragments in suspensions at pH = 4-11. Both UV-vis spectrophotometry and quartz crystal micro-balance (QCM) technique were used to monitor the deposition process of pDAC/bacteriorhodopsin (bR) multilayers, suggesting that pM fragments and pDAC are deposited alternatively on the substrate uniformly. Upon illumination, all these multilayers generate photovoltages with defined signs. The negative sign of photovoltage accompanying the formation ofM-state at pH of pM fragments is directed toward the substrate; and the positive sign at pH?7 indicates that the cytoplasmic side of pM fragments is directed toward the substrate. In addition, the long-lived multipleM-state has been observed in all multilayer films. Moreover,M-state at high pH, which shows the longer lifetime than that at low pH, decays into the ground state (B) completely in 30 min.

Within the framework of the modified potential cluster model with forbidden states,the total cross-sections of radiative n^(9)Be capture to the ground and five low-lying excited states are calculated at energies from 10^(-2)eV up to 5 *** thermal cross-section σ_(th)=8.35mb is in good agreement with experimental *** considered five resonances at the excitation energies E_(x)from 7.371 MeV up to 10.570 MeV corresponding to the following states with J^(π)(E_(x),MeV):3^(-)(7.371),2^(+)(7.542),3^(+)(9.4),2^(+)(9.56),and 3^(-)(10.570).The partial and total ^(9)Be(n,γ0+1+2+3+4+5)^(10)Be reaction rates are calculated at temperatures from 0.001 to 10 T_(9).Contrary to the available data,we propose that the rise in the reaction rate near factor five at T_(9)>1 is mainly due to the first 3^(-)(E_(R)=0.559 MeV)*** foresee this contrast as arising from different model approaches.

In this work,we report on modeling results obtained with our recently developed simulation tool enabling nanoscopic description of electronic processes in X-ray irradiated ferromagnetic *** this tool,we have studied the response of Co/pt multilayer system irradiated by an ultrafast extreme ultraviolet pulse at the M-edge of Co(photon energy~60 eV).It was previously investigated experimentally at the FERMI free-electron-laser facility,using the magnetic small-angle X-ray scattering *** simulations show that the magnetic scattering signal from cobalt decreases on femtosecond timescales due to electronic excitation,relaxation,and transport processes both in the cobalt and in the platinum layers,following the trend observed in the experimental *** confirmation of the predominant role of electronic processes for X-ray induced demagnetization in the regime below the structural damage threshold is a step toward quantitative control and manipulation of X-ray induced magnetic processes on femtosecond timescales.

We discuss current attempts to employ the modified potential cluster model to describe the available experimental data on the^(13)B(n,γ0+1)^(14)B total *** estimated results of the M1 and E1 transitions from the n^(13)B scattering states to the ground and first excited states of^(14)B are *** 1st resonance at Ex=1.275 MeV(1+)is revealed in both the cross-section and reaction *** the variation in the asymptotic constant,a thermal cross-section interval of 5.1-8.9 mb is *** on the theoretical total cross-sections at energies of 0.01 eV to 5 MeV,we calculate the reaction rate in the temperature range of 0.01 to *** ignition T9 values of the^(13)B(n,γ0+1)^(14)B reaction depending on a neutron number density n_(n)of~10^(22)cm^(−3)are *** radiative neutron capture reaction rates on the boron^(10-13)B and carbon^(12-14)Сisotopes are compared.
