We report here rare evidence for the early prograde p-Tevolution of garnet-sillimanite-graphite gneiss(khondalite)from the central Highland Complex,Sri *** types of garnet porphyroblasts(Grt_1,Grt_2,Grt_3 and Grt_4)are observed in the rock with specific types of inclusion *** Grt_3 shows evidence for non-coaxial *** the information shows a sequence of main inclusion phases,from old to young:oriented quartz inclusions at core,staurolite and prismatic sillimanite at mantle,kyanite and kyanite pseudomorph,and biotite at rim in Grt_1;fibrolitic sillimanite pseudomorphing kyanite±corundum,kyanite,and spinel+sillimanite after garnet+corundum in Grt_2;biotite,sillimanite,quartz±spinel in Grt_3;and ilmenite,rulite,quartz and sillimanite in Grt_*** pre-melting,original rock composition was calculated through stepwise re-integration of melt into the residual,XRF based composition,allowing the early prograde metamorphic evolution to be deduced from petrographical observations and *** earliest recognizable stage occurred in the sillimanite field at around 575℃ at 4.5 *** collision associated with Gondwana amalgamation led to crustal thickening along a p-T trajectory with an average dp/dT of ~30 bar/℃ in the kyanite field,up to ~660℃ at 6.5 kbar,before crossing the wet-solidus at around 675 ℃ at 7.5 *** highest pressure occurred at p > 10 kbar and T around 780℃ before prograde decompression associated with further *** 825℃ and 10.5 kbar,the rock re-entered into the sillimanite *** temperature peaked at 900℃ at ca.9-9.5 *** near-isobaric cooling led to the growth of Grt_4 and rutile at T ~880℃.Local pyrophyllite rims around sillimanite suggest a late stage of rehydration at Tprobably occurred after uplift to upper crustal levels.U-pb dating of zircons by LAICpMS of the khondalite yielded two concordant ^(206)pb/^(238)U age groups with mean values of 542±2 Ma(MSWD=0.24,Th/U=0.01-0.

In the present work, an integrated analysis of natural and socio-economic conditions in the hilly redsoil region of southeastern China is made by nieans of a Geographic Information System. particular em-phasis lies on soil degradation and other adverse ecological and environmental effects of the prevalent andirrational land-use systems of mono-and valley-agriculture in the region. Moreover, taking into account thesimultaneous existence of enormous potentials and serious constraints and the high diversity and complexityof the biophysical and socio-economic environments, a set of strategies and counterineasures are also prc-posed for appropriate management of environmental resources, in terms of maintaining harmony betweenutilization and conservation of the natural environment, including 1) adjustment of the agricultural structureand optimization of ecological patterns of stereo-agriculture; 2) improvement and integrated exploitation ofthe low-yield lands and wastelands; 3) rehabilitation and conservation of soil and water resources; and 4)establishment of production bases of tropical and subtropical cash crops and fruits.

Bioconvection has shown significant promise for environmentally friendly,sustainable“green”fuel cell *** improved design of such systems requires continuous refinements in biomatheatical modeling in conjunction with laboratory and *** by exploring deeper the near-wall transport phenomena involved inbio-inspired fuel cells,in the present paper,we examine analytically and numericallythe combined free-forced convective steady boundary layer flow from a solid verticalflat plate embedded in a Darcian porous medium containing gyrotactic *** is one of the many taxes exhibited in biological microscale transport,andother examples include magneto-taxis,photo-taxis,chemotaxis and geo-taxis (reflecting the response of microorganisms to magnetic field,light,chemical concentration orgravity,respectively). The bioconvection fuel cell also contains difusing oxygen specicswhich mimics the cathodic behavior in a proton exchange membrane(pEM) *** wall is maintained at isosolutal (constant oxygen volume fraction and motilemicroorganism density) and iso-thermal conditions. Wall values of these quantities aresustained at higher values than the ambient temperature and concentration of oxygenand biological microorganism *** transformations are applied to renderthe governing partial differential equations for mass,momentum,energy,oxygen speciesand microorganism species density into a system of ordinary differential equations. Background:Guidelines recommend that hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)patients with portal vein tumor thrombosis(pVTT)and/or hepatic vein tumor thrombosis(HVTT)should undergo systemic ***,recent data suggest that surgical resection may be beneficial in selected cases,but outcomes are *** aimed to estimate pooled overall survival(oS),recurrence free survival(RFS)and complication rates in HCC patients with macrovascular invasion(MVI)following surgical ***:In this systematic review and meta-analysis,two investigators independently searched pubMed,Embase,and Cochrane databases from inception to Nov 10,2020,without language restrictions,for studies reporting outcomes of adult HCC patients with MVI who underwent liver resection with curative ***:We screened 8,598 articles and included 40 studies involving 8,218 *** all patients with MVI,the pooled median oS was 14.39 months[95%confidence interval(CI):10.99-18.84],1-year oS was 54.47%(95%CI:46.12-62.58%)and 3-year oS was 23.20%(95%CI:16.61-31.42%).overall,1-and 3-year RFS were 27.70%(95%CI:21.00-35.57%)and 10.06%(95%CI:6.62-15.01%),*** patients with pVTT,median oS was 20.41 months in those with segmental/2nd order involvement compared to 12.91 months if 1st order branch was involved and 6.41 months if the main trunk was *** pooled rate of major complications was 6.17%(95%CI:3.53-10.56%).Conclusions:overall median survival was 14.39 months for HCC patients with MVI following *** survival was higher in pVTT with segmental/2nd order involvement at 20.41 versus 6.41 months if the main trunk was involved.

This research investigated the effect of combined chilling and GA_3 treatment on bud abortion of tree peony under greenhouse conditions to determine the dynamics of exogenous hormones and chilling effects on bud abortion. Research of such nature will increase the understanding of the effects of GA_3 and chilling level on flower development thereby, promoting off-season cultivation techniques in tree peonies to increase production that meets market demand. Hormone and sugar levels in the ‘Luoyanghong' tree peony were respectively determined using High-performance Liquid Chromatography(HpLC) and spectrophotometer. Non-potted chilling with 200 mg·L^(-1) GA_3 treatment reduced bud abortion rate. Flowering rate in non-potted chilling with 200 mg·L^(-1) GA_3 plants was 58%, as against 21% in potted chilling plants with 200 mg·L^(-1) GA_3 treatment. Sugar accumulation in retained or aborted flower buds was conversely related to ABA level. Low ABA and high sugar levels were noted in retained buds whereas the reverse induced bud abortion. ABA level apparently inhibited sucrose and reducing sugar uptake in aborted buds whereas GA_3 enhanced sucrose uptake in retained buds. GA_3 and IAA levels were higher in retained than in aborted buds, which made plants with retained bud more competitive in nutrient uptake(by root)for growth and development. overall, combined chilling and GA_3 treatment enhanced plant growth and development, particularly bud sprouting, growth and flowering.

objective:To evaluate short-term markers of outcome in diabetic macular edema(DME).Methods:prospective interventional case series included 122 eyes of 122 patients with recently diagnosed *** were treated with a 3-monthly loading dose of ranibizumab or aflibercept and pro re nata *** enhanced deep imaging SD-oCT high resolution scans were used to measure subfoveal choroidal thickness(SFCT)and central retinal thickness(CRT).Anatomic(10%CRT decrease)and functional responses(best corrected visual acuity,BCVA gain≥5 letters)were assessed at 3 months and 6 months using univariate and multivariate *** tested were gender,duration of diabetes,HbA1c,hypertension,CRT,SFCT,BCVA,ellipsoid zone(EZ)status,subfoveal neuroretinal detachment(SND),anti-VEGF used and laser naivety.A logistic regression model was applied to find independent markers ***:BCVA increased,CRT and SFCT decreased at 3 months and 6 *** metabolic control(p=0.003),intact baseline EZ(p=0.030),EZ re-grading at 3 M(pp=0.001)were associated with better functional *** multivariate linear regression model showed that baseline SND and CRT are predictors of anatomic response,while lower baseline BCVA and intact EZ are predictors of functional ***:The presence of SND predicts anatomic response only,while an intact EZ is critical to achieve a good functional outcome in DME.

A unit cell model is applied to study the creep damage behavior after fiber fractures in the fiber-reinforced composites at high temperature. The user subroutine CREEp has been programmed for ABAQUS. The fiber breakage results in a new crack. The results show that the stress concentration factor resulted from the fiber breakage increases with the creep time. The creep damage takes place near the crack, and then grows in the matrix along a certain angle, up to the total failure. The influences of the ratio of modulus of the fiber to the matrix (Ef/Em) on the creep deformation, damage and stress distributions have been studied. With the increasing Ef/Em, the damage in the matrix increases. Analysis on the different ductility of matrix shows that the creep damage of low ductile matrix composites is higher than high ductile matrix composites.
