Sediment delivery ratio can be used as a measure of sediment connectivity and it can be linked to the structural connectivity(morphological unit, slope length, slope steepness, travel time) of a basin and to the functional connectivity(rainfall-runoff processes at morphological unit scale). In this paper the sediment connectivity approach was applied at basin scale both using Sediment Delivery distributed(SEDD) model, which takes into account the hillslope sediment transport, and sediment yield measurements carried out at SPA2 experimental basin(Sicily, Italy). The expression of the sediment delivery ratio SDRi of a morphological unit was modified for highlighting two components correspo.ding to the structural(SDR_(L,i)) and functional(SDR_(F,i)) sediment connectivity, respectively. For SPA2 basin the frequency distribution of the travel time of each morphological unit was used to estimate the coefficient βL of the structural component of the sediment delivery ratio of each morphological unit. Then, using the sediment yield measurements carried out at the outlet of the experimental SPA2 basin in the period April 2000-March 2015, the SEDD model was calibrated at event scale for estimating the coefficient βF of the functional component of the sediment delivery ratio. At event scale the developed analysis stated that the functional connectivity is dependent on the magnitude of erosion events. Intermediate and high events, which were characterized by the lowest values of the functional coefficient, determine a more high functional connectivity and are characterized by a more efficient sediment transport along the hillslopes. Finally, at annual scale, the model was calibrated for the period 2000-2015 and relationships for estimating the coefficient βF,a of the functional component of the sediment delivery ratio taking into account the intensity of erosion events occurring in each year were determined. Climate Change Vulnerability Assessment（VA） tools for forest ecosystems and forest-dependent communities are important for making decisions and understanding the impact of climate change on both social and natural ***,the tools are poorly coo.dinated,making it difficult for policymakers to carry out VAs *** aim of this study was to analyze VA literature worldwide to find representative case studies in terms of methods and tools applied and which have been successful in performing VAs on forests and forest-dependent *** successful VA studies analyzed had common characteristics such as significant funding,data availability and technical *** additional characteristic was the development of an integrated approach that considered the vulnerability of both ecosystems and communities by combining qualitative and quantitative *** members and relevant stakeholders were significantly involved in a participatory process that concluded with the identification of adaptation *** case studies also revealed how policymakers need to choose suitable methods and tools to undertake efficient assessment of *** need to consider several aspects of the VA process such as subject matter,availability of resources,time and scale.

Liver transplant(LT)is considered the best option for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)confined into the liver and generally associated with liver cirrhosis(1).The Milan criteria(MC)represent a milestone in the selection of these patients(2).Therefore,basing on MC,the 5-year survival rate after LT could increase to 70%,with a HCC recurrence rate lower than 10%(2).Despite that,too many patients affected by HCC may not benefit from LT due to a tumor stage beyond the selection *** the last two decades,authors and physicians tried to overcome the MC exploring the opportunity to safely transplant patients beyond(3).Notably,the donor shortage and the competition between patients listed due to HCC and those listed for other indications,force physicians in selecting candidates with the best transplant benefit(3).
