Acid sulfate soils are normally not suitable for crop production unless they are appropriately ameliorated. An experiment was conducted in a glasshouse to enhance the growth of rice, variety MR219, planted on an acid sulfate soil using various soil *** soil was collected from Semerak, Kelantan, Malaysia. Ground magnesium limestone(GML), bio-fertilizer, and basalt(each 4t ha-1) were added either alone or in combinations into the soil in pots 15 d before transplanting. Nitrogen, P and potash were applied at 150, 30, and 60 kg ha-1, respectively. Three seven-day-old rice seedlings were transplanted into each pot. The soil had a p H of 3.8 and contained organic C of 21 g kg-1, N of 1.2 g kg-1, available P of 192 mg kg-1, exchangeable K of 0.05 cmol c kg-1,and exchangeable Al of 4.30 cmol c kg-1, with low amounts of exchangeable Ca and Mg(0.60 and 0.70 cmol c kg-1). Bio-fertilizer treatment in combination with GML resulted in the highest p H of 5.4. The presence of high Al or Fe concentrations in the control soil without amendment severely affected the growth of rice. At 60 d of growth, higher plant heights, tiller numbers and leaf chlorophyll contents were obtained when the bio-fertilizer was applied individually or in combination with GML compared to the control. The presence of beneficial bacteria in bio-fertilizer might produce phytohormones and organic acids that could enhance plant growth and subsequently increase nutrient uptake by rice. Hence, it can be concluded that addition of bio-fertilizer and GML improved rice growth by increasing soil p H which consequently eliminated Al and/or Fe toxicity prevalent in the acid sulfate soil.

Gas phase carbonylation of methane is studied in the presence of molecular oxygen over pure carbon carriers and carbon supported rhodium chalcogen halides. Activated carbons and fullerene blacks have been used as carbon supports. XPS and iR-spectroscopy data show the formation of rhodium chalcogen halides in solids prepared by different methods. We have found that the productivity of acetic acid by carbon supported rhodium chalcogen halides depends strongly on the carbon carrier and the method of the catalyst preparation. Namely, the catalyst with highest productivity for the acetic acid is prepared by synthesizing the rhodium chalcogen halide over the carbon support followed by thermal destruction. We have also found that rhodium chalcogen halides over activated carbons are more active compared with fullerene supported catalysts.

The analysis of organochlorine pesticides(oCPs)in ecosystem components has been a major niche area among environmental scientists,probably due to their endocrine-disruptive ***,we evaluated the global research productivity of oCPs research from 1992 to 2018 using various bibliometric indices.A total of 2326 articles that focused on oCPs research in biological and environmental matrices were retrieved from the Web of Science(WoS).A steady progression on oCPs article production was noticed during the survey period with regression and Lokta distribution models suggesting that more research outputs on this pollutant class is imminent in years to *** People's Republic of China and the United States were respectively ranked first and second in both‘most productive countries’and‘countries with the highest number of citations.’Not surprisingly,these two countries also had the most collaborative network with not less than ten collaboration linkages with other *** study shows the high involvement of oCPs research from scientists domiciled in developed ***,international collaboration should be encouraged particularly between developed and developing *** this end,more research programs should be established to monitor oCPs in regions where they have been used in the past especially in *** bibliometric survey will assist policymakers and researchers in designing future research and allocating funds involving oCPs research.

调制电子束入射进电离层等离子体中会激发电磁波辐射,根据不同试验条件和等离子体状态,激发电磁波的机制也不一样.本文主要讨论半无界稀薄调制电子束沿地球磁场力线从空间飞行器入射到电离层等离子体产生的电磁波辐射,其相应的辐射机理是由于束的纵向约束而产生的电磁波辐射.理论分析和数值计算结果显示,在满足切伦柯夫(Cerenkov)共振条件时,哨声波前向辐射方向图有一个尖锐的峰值,且随着电子束弛豫长度的增加,辐射功率值也相应增大,表明可以通过对电子束的适当调制增强电子束激发的电磁波辐射强度.

Parameters of self-consistent magnetized dusty sheaths are investigated usingcomputer simulations of a temporal evolution of one-dimensional slab plasma with dust *** evolution is caused by a collection of electrons and ions by both a wall (electrode) and dustparticles, which are initially immersed into plasma and distributed in front of the *** results show the existence of oscillations of a self-consistent potential in magnetizeddusty sheaths including boundary potentials. Dust particles weaken magnetized sheaths and createadditional sheaths close to a boundary of dust particles. The magnetic field does not influence onthe dust particle charge.

Creep of squeeze-cast Mg-3Y-2Nd-1Zn-1Mn alloy was investigated at the constant load in the stress range of 30-80 MPa. Tensile creep tests were performed at 300℃up to the final *** tests at 50 MPa were interrupted after reaching the steady state creep;and another set of creep tests was interrupted after the onset of ternary *** of cavitated dendritic boundaries was evaluated using optical *** of grain boundary sliding by observation of the offset of marker lines was carried out on the surface of the crept specimens after the test interruption by scanning electron microscopy and by confocal laser scanning *** results show that the dominant creep mechanism in this alloy is dislocation creep with minor contribution of the grain boundary *** failure took place by the nucleation,growth and coalescence of creep cavities on the boundaries predominantly oriented perpendicular to the applied *** amount of cavitated boundaries with time of creep exposure supports the mechanism of continuous cavity nucleation and growth.

The electronic structures of Ni-Ti shape-memory alloy samples were investigated by X-ray absorption fine structure （XAFS） spectroscopy both experimentally and theoretically. in the experimental section, the samples were measured at low temperature to determine the persistent traces of both preheating process and atomic concentration effects on the crystal and electronic structure by X-ray absorption near-edge structure （XANES） spectroscopy. As a second step, the extended-X-ray absorption fine structure （EXAFS） calculations, which are based on different choices of one electron potentials according to Ti coordinations by using the real space multiple scattering method FEFF 8.2 code, were performed. The crystallographic and electronic structures of the porous Ni-Ti alloys were tested at various temperatures ranging from 5 to 1323 K.
