A DFT study on Pt single atom loaded CoF for efficient photocatalytic Co_(2)reduction

Photocatalytic Co_(2)reduction provides a promising strategy for the alleviation of greenhouse effect and energy shortage *** single atom modification is an effective method to improve the Co_(2)reduction performance of covalent organic framework(CoF)photocatalysts,while the intrinsic mechanism is not revealed in ***,a Pt-CoF photocatalytic system was constructed by embedding Pt single atom in TFPT-TMT-CoF(TFPT:1,3,5-tris(4-formylphenyl)-triazine,TMT:2,4,6-trimethyl-1,3,5-triazine).Based on density functional theory(DFT)calculation,the geometric structure and electronic property of Pt-CoF were investigated,and the Co_(2)adsorption and reduction reaction process on Pt-CoF were *** results show that the Pt atom can be steadily anchored in CoF via the formation of Pt-N and Pt-C ***,there is strong electronic interaction between Pt and *** incorporation of Pt atom benefits the Co_(2)reduction activity of CoF from multiple aspects:(ⅰ)reducing the band gap and improving light absorption;(ⅱ)enhancing Co_(2)adsorption and activating the Co_(2)molecule;(ⅲ)decreasing the energy barrier in the hydrogenation step of Co_(2)→CooH,thus facilitating Co_(2)conversion to Co;(ⅳ)inhibiting the hydrogenation of Co,thereby increasing the selectivity of *** work brings a novel insight into the excellent Co_(2)reduction performance of Pt modified CoF,and provides useful references for the design of single atom photocatalysts.

Trimethylamine oxide supplementation differentially regulates fat deposition in liver, longissimus dorsi muscle and adipose tissue of growing-finishing pigs

Trimethylamine oxide(TMAo) is a microbiota-derived metabolite, and numerous studies have shown that it could regulate fat metabolism in humans and mice. However, few studies have focused on the effects of TMAo on fat deposition in growing-finishing pigs. This study aimed to investigate the effect of TMAo on fat deposition and intestinal microbiota in growing-finishing pigs. Sixteen growing pigs were randomly divided into 2 groups and fed with a basal diet with 0 or 1 g/kg TMAo for 149 d. The intestinal microbial profiles, fat deposition indexes, and fatty acid profiles were measured. These results showed that TMAo supplementation had a tendency to decrease lean body mass(P eased backfat thickness(P ot affect growth performance. TMAo significantly increased total protein(TP) concentration, and reduced alkaline phosphatase(ALP) concentration in serum(P o increased the a diversity of the ileal microbiota community(P ot affect the colonic microbial community. TMAo supplementation significantly increased acetate content in the ileum, and Proteobacteria and escherichia-Shigella were significantly enriched in the TMAo group(P on, TMAo decreased fat content, as well as the ratio of linoleic acid, n-6polyunsaturated fatty acids(PUFA), and PUFA in the liver(P on the contrary, TMAo increased intramuscular fat content of the longissimus dorsi muscle, whereas the C18:2n6c ratio was increased,and the n-6 PUFA:PUFA ratio was decreased(P o, 1 mmol/L TMAo treatment significantly upregulated the expression of FASN and SReBP1 in C2C12 cells(P evertheless, TMAo also increased adipocyte area and decreased the CPT-1B expression in subcutaneous fat(P en together, TMAo supplementation regulated ileal microbial composition and acetate production, and regulated fat distribution and fatty acid composition in growing-finishing pigs. BACKGRoUND Rare liver tumors(RLTs)have an extremely low likelihood of forming,and some have been recorded only in isolated *** lack of normal clinical symptoms in RLTs makes preoperative diagnosis extremely challenging,which results in frequent *** present case report helps enhance our ability to recognize and treat uncommon liver tumor *** SUMMARY We describe four distinct examples of rare liver tumor *** cases were all true cases with no conventional clinical signs or imaging *** all patients,hepatic occupancy was discovered on physical examination,which raised the preoperative suspicion of hepatic *** tumors were surgically removed,and postoperative histology and immunohistochemistry were performed to confirm the *** first patient had primary hepatic *** second case involved a primary hepatic neuroendocrine *** two patients had malignant liver tumors,and both had extremely satisfactory surgical *** third case involved focal hepatic steatosis,and the fourth case involved a single necrotic nodule in the *** two patients had benign liver tumors,but they had already undergone surgery and did not require any postoperative *** The number of patients with RLTs is small,and the clinical and imaging results are *** diagnosis is challenging,and patients are sometimes mistakenly diagnosed with liver cancer,which leads to unnecessary surgical therapy in certain individuals.

exploring biofilm-forming molecular determinants in Listeria monocytogenes by comparative genome-wide and transcriptomic analyses

In the food industry， bacterial cells usually adhere to equipment surfaces， forming biofilms that may cause persistent contamination. This study aimed to identify the key genes responsible for the stronger biofilm-forming capability of the LMB 33426 strain compared to that of the CICC 21662 strain through comparative genomics. Additionally， the expression of genes and related metabolic pathways of LMB 33426 and CICC 21662 strains were analyzed at the transcriptional level by high-throughput sequencing technology to uncover key differentially expressed genes between planktonic and biofilm cells of those two strains. Subsequently， the key genes found to present differences that were uncovered by those genome-wide and transcriptomic analyses were used to construct gene deletion strains. The crystalline violet assay and motility assay showed that GL002291， GL002712 and lmo1438 genes were involved in the regulation of biofilm formation as well as motility. The hydrophobicity and auto-aggregation ability assay results demonstrated an association between the clpB， lmo1438， and lmo0294 genes and bacterial adhesion. However， no significant differences were found regarding this association in the GL002291 and GL002712 genes. This study elucidates some potential regulatory genes associated with biofilm formation in L. monocytogenes， and laying a theoretical foundation for future research.
