非洲猪瘟(African swine fever,ASF)是一种急性、出血性、高度接触性的烈性传染病,对世界养猪业和食品安全产生了巨大的负面影响,目前仍无商品化疫苗和特效药物。其病原体非洲猪瘟病毒(African swine fever virus,ASFV)是一种大型、结构复杂的双链DNA病毒,但80%的编码蛋白功能未知,因此其致病机制及药物研究现状对防控具有重要意义。作者概述了ASFV的病原体特征、传播途径及其引起的临床表现;从病毒入侵过程、免疫细胞功能改变及其相关通路变化等方面梳理了病毒致病机制的最新进展;介绍了ASFV的最新检测技术及疫苗新进展;系统总结了最新的中西药治疗研究现状,并对中药防治ASFV的未来前景进行展望,提出了未来重点研究方向和相关问题解决策略,以期为ASF的治疗提供借鉴和指导。

Surface defects caused during cutting and polishing in the fabrication of cadmium zinc telluride (CdZnTe) nuclear detectors limit their spectral performance. Chemical treatments are often used to remove surface damages and defects. In this paper, we present the analysis of Te and Teo2 species on the surfaces of CdZnTe nuclear detectors treated with hydrogen bromide and ammonium-based solutions. The CdZnTe wafers were chemo-mechanically polished in a mixture of hydrogen bromide in hydrogen peroxide and ethylene glycol, followed by a chemical passivation in a mixture of ammonium fluoride and hydrogen peroxide solution. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy showed significant conversion of Te to Teo2, thus producing a more chemically stable surface. The resistivity of the CdZnTe samples is in the order of 1010 ohms-cm. The current for a given applied voltage increased following the passivation and decreased after a 3-hour period. Results from spectral response measurements showed that the 59.5-keV gamma-peak of Am-241 was stable under the same channel for the surface treatment processes.

The objective of the study was to determine the optimal density of fingerlings of the Nile tilapia (oreochromis niloticus) culture in floating cages with respect to growth performance and to know the effect of temperature on growth during the winter period. Tilapia fingerlings (mean weight 8.5 ± 0.36 g) were stocked at densities of 120, 180 and 360 fish/m3 for 10 weeks. During culture, fish were fed a diet contains 35% protein made of peanut seed, cottonseed, wheat bran, and Sorghum. The results showed that the increase in fish density reduced the final weight of the fish. The percentage of the fish weight increased and reached 111% ± 1.45% in the lowest fish density (120 fish/m3), 79% ± 1.87% in the medium density (240 fish/m3), and 63% ± 2.03% of high fish density (360 fish/m3), therefore the daily growth rate was better in the lowest density. The rate of food conversion ratio was also better in the lowest density with 2.17 ± 0.33, followed by the medium density with 2.79 ± 0.28 and then the highest density with 3.09 ± 0.21. However, the total production in the cage increased with increasing fish density, and the return to the cost of food was better with higher fish density. According to various performance evaluation criteria, it can be concluded that the medium density 240 fish/m3 is the best for growing Nile tilapia fingerlings in floating cages. It was observed that the growth rates of the three treatments were low due to the decrease in water temperature in most of the study period, which may indicate the useless of culture in cages in the winter season.

Uncontrolled microglial activation is decisively involved in the neuroinflammatory pathogenesis of brain diseases. Consequently, suppression of microglial overactivation appears to be a strategy for the prevention of nerve injury. In this paper, a novel vanadium complex, vanadyl N-(p-N,Ndimethylaminophenylcarbamoylmethyl)iminodiacetate(Vo(p-dmada)), was synthesized from vanadyl sulfate and N,N-dimethyl-p-phenylenediamine, which was structurally characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectrum and ESI-MS analysis. The effect of Vo(p-dmada) on neuroinflammation was investigated by using the models of lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced bV2 microglial cells and bALb/c *** data demonstrated that Vo(p-dmada) significantly suppressed microglial activation by downregulating inflammatory mediators and associated proteins, and inactivating nuclear factor-κ b(NF-κ b) signaling pathway. Vo(p-dmada) also upregulated peroxisome proliferator activated receptor gamma(PPARγ) by reducing transglutaminase 2 and heat shock protein 60 expression. Co-treatment with PPARγ antagonist gW9662 significantly impeded the inhibitory effect of Vo(p-dmada) on LPS-induced *** cumulative findings demonstrated that Vo(p-dmada) is a potential new drug for the treatment of neuroinflammation-related neurodegenerative diseases.

Cadmium zinc telluride (CdZnTe) semiconductor has applications in the detection of X-rays and gamma-rays at room temperature without having to use a cooling system. Chemical etching and chemo-mechanical polishing are processes used to smoothen CdZnTe wafer during detector device fabrication. These processes reduce surface damages left after polishing the wafers. In this paper, we compare the effects of etching and chemo-mechanical polishing on CdZnTe nuclear detectors, using a solution of hydrogen bromide in hydrogen peroxide and ethylene glycol mixture. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) was used to monitor Teo2 on the wafer surfaces. Current-voltage and detector-response measurements were made to study the electrical properties and energy resolution. XPS results showed that the chemical etching process resulted in the formation of more Teo2 on the detector surfaces compared to chemo-mechanical polishing. The electrical resistivity of the detector is of the order of 1010 Ω-cm. The chemo-mechanical polishing process increased the leakage current more that chemical etching. For freshly treated surfaces, the etching process is more detrimental to the energy resolution compared to chemo-mechanically polishing.

To screen clinically relevant microRNAs (miRNAs) silenced by DNA methylation in human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).METHoDSKnockdown of DNA methyltransferases (DNMTs) using siRNAs and miRNA profiling in HCC cell lines were performed to identify DNA hypermethylation-mediated miRNA downregulation. Confirmation using individual quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) assays was then performed followed by DNA methylation quantification at the promoter of the miRNA genes. Quantification of DNA methylation and miRNA expression was then performed in primary HCC tumor samples and related with clinicopathological *** profiling after DNMT knockdown in HCC cell lines revealed upregulation of miR-23, miR-25 and miR-183. After qRT-PCR confirmation and Cpg island methylation quantification of these miRNAs in cell lines, further analysis in primary HCC specimens showed that hsa-miR-183 is hypermethylated in 30% of HCC (n = 40). Expression of mature miR-183 showed an inverse correlation with DNA methylation levels. In HCC cells, DNMT knockdown and 5-aza-2’-deoxycytidine treatment reduced methylation and stimulated expression of miR-183. In HCC patients, hypermethylation at hsa-miR-183 promoter significantly correlates with poor survival (log-rank test P = 0.03). DNA methylation analysis in healthy liver, benign liver tumors (hepatocellular adenoma and focal nodular hyperplasia) and their corresponding adjacent tissues showed absence of hypermethylation supporting the notion that aberrant methylation at hsa-miR-183 is specific for the malignant transformation of *** data indicate that hypermethylation of hsa-miR-183 is a frequent event in HCC and potentially useful as a novel surrogate diagnostic and prognostic marker.

The ligand o-phenylenediamine (opda) and its oxidized form, o-benzoquinonediimine (bqdi), act as a fascinating candidate coordinating toward transition metal ions leading to the photochemical hydrogen production in absence of photosensitizers. Herein, we report the systematic study of the interaction between the oxidized form bqdi ligand, tris-(o-benzoquinonediimine) with divalent first-row transition metal series using DFT calculations. The lowest energy structures, bond length, binding energies, frontier molecular orbital analysis, natural bond orbitals, and global reactivity descriptor were calculated using b3LYP/6-311g(d,P) level of theory. The time dependent-DFT at the CAM-b3LYP/6-311+g(d,p) level of theory was applied to determine the electronic structures and the optical spectra. The theoretical binding trend of the divalent first-row transition metal series is decreasing as follows: Cu >Ti > V > Co > Ni > Fe > Cr > Zn >Mn. Among them, the binding potency of iron (II) by the bqdi ligand was not predominantly sturdy as compared to other first-row divalent transition metal ions. The origin of strong coordination with Fe(II) is attributed to its extra capability to induce covalent coordination of bqdi ligands. The complex exhibited two strong peaks at 370 nm and 452 nm, due to the HoMo-3 to LUMo+1 and HoMo-1 to LUMo transitions, respectively. Natural bond orbital analysis showed that the major interaction happens between the N lone pair electrons of the ligand with an anti-bonding orbital of metal ions, in which Ti showed the highest interaction energy than other metal ions. The present systemic DFT study of bqdi ligands with the first-row transition metals strongly encourages the future establishment of photochemical hydrogen production in absence of photosensitizers.

bacterial endophytes are beneficial to their hosts as they can fix nitrogen in the soil and make it available to the *** bacteria also secrete plant growth-promoting hormones to support their host plants under normal as well as stress *** current study aimed to isolate endophytic bacteria from different parts of Calotropis procera,i.e.,roots,stem and leaves of Calotropis procera(Ait.)*** were collected from the Lundkhwar,district Mardan.A total of 12 bacterial strains,i.e.,six from roots,three from the stem and three from the leaves were *** strains were screened for their growth-promoting activity in rice plants because rice shows a quick and easy response to the bioactive compounds present in the culture filtrate(CF)of the potent endophytic *** rice plants were cultivated in pots containing 30 mL of 0.8%w/v water-agar *** pots were placed in a growth chamber,operated at 28±0.3℃ for 14 h(day);and 25±0.3℃ for 10 h(night),at 70%*** the isolated strains,R1,S1,S3,L1,R5 and R6 showed visible growth promotion in rice *** biochemical analysis revealed that the strains were able to produce indole acetic acid(IAA)and flavonoids in higher ***,the strains also produced bioactive compounds that inhibited the growth of Escherichia coli and Aspergillus flavus using the well diffusion *** the results,it was concluded that these strains can secrete potent compounds that can promote the host plant growth and inhibit the growth of pathogenic microorganisms and,therefore,can be used as bio-fertilizer and bio-control agents.
