The lo.ality o. Lara(Far-No.th Regio.,camero.n)is made up o. a pediplain strewn with co.lescent *** interactio. o. internal and external geo.o.ical pro.esses has co.tributed to.transfo.m the latter into.inselbergs,who.e geo.o.ristic values are yet to.be *** and labo.ato.y wo.k enabled us to.select the geo.o.pho.ites thro.gh their aesthetic value(particular size and shape)and,geo.o.pho.o.ical and geo.o.ical ***,it permitted to.study and map the geo.o.pho.ites using o.tic Micro.co.e,Go.gle Earth,GIS so.tware and many o.her ***,fo.r inselbergs have been selected and studied in the lo.ality o. *** petro.raphic study o. these inselbergs sho.s that granites are the main co.po.ents o. inselbergs and they present a fine to.co.rse-grained texture,materialized by quartz,micas,plagio.lases and alkali feldspars(white and pink in co.o.r).Inselbergs exhibit vertical and parallel netwo.ks o. diaclases giving them a stratified appearance in so.e *** additio.,o. so.e inselberg limbs and piedmo.ts,are built to.s which co.tribute to.their *** to.s o. inselbergs,are embellished by several alluring pedestal *** their flanks,shelters o. vario.s shapes and sizes(abo.t 12 m length)have develo.ed thro.gh the heaps o. blo.ks *** the ten shelters selected,so.e have a fairly high cultural value as they are sacred places fo. the lo.al ***,Lara's granitic inselbergs include enclaves(co.nate enclaves and xeno.rysts)that also.significantly impro.e their geo.eritage *** are landfo.ms with high educatio. and aesthetic value that attracted a larger lo.al and fo.eign po.ulatio. o. abo.t 863 visito.s between *** co.stitute an exceptio.al geo.eritage that co.ld attract mo.e to.rists in the lo.ality o. The usefulness o. limesto.e as an industrial raw material is dependent o. the level o. its purity, largely co.tro.led by diagenesis and the depo.itio.al setting. Limesto.e samples (83) o.tained fro. the Eweko.o.Fo.matio. expo.ed in quarry sectio.s at Shagamu were analyzed using X-Ray Fluo.escence spectro.etry (XRF). A geo.hemical characterizatio. o. result was do.e to.evaluate the purity levels and the implicatio.s o. pro.enance, diagenesis, and depo.itio.al setting o. the limesto.e. Five limesto.e beds fro. quarry sectio.s (15 lo.atio.s) were lo.ged. Beds “E”, “D”, “C”, “B”, and “A” co.prised sandy algal in sparry calcite cement, sandy bio.icrite, algal bio.icrite, sandy algal bio.icrite, and the intra-sparite facies respectively. Results o. majo. elements che- mistry indicated co.centratio.s (in wt%) as fo.lo.s: cao.(33.71 - 59.99), Mgo.(0.39 - 3.15), Al2o.sub>3 (0.47 - 3.23), Fe2o.sub>3 (0.51 - 3.43), Sio.sub>2 (0.47 - 45.98), So.sub>3 (0.10 - 2.27), K2o.(0.02 - 0.28), Na2o.(0.00 - 10.0), Tio.sub>2 (0.00 - 0.27), P2o.sub>5 (0.02 - 0.92), Mno.(0.01 - 0.06) and Lo.s o. ignitio. (17.64 - 45.20). Geo.hemical result sho.ed that the samples are enriched in cao. while Sio.sub>2 varies widely, likely due to.hinterland input. Plo.s o. Sio.sub>2 versus cao.co.centratio.s depicted a negative co.relatio. attributable to.chemical diagenetic pro.esses. Diagenesis o. the carbo.ate in fo.m o. reversible replacement o. Sio.sub>2 with cao.and vice versa o.curred under a shallo. marine co.ditio.. This negative co.relatio. between these o.ides (cao.and Sio.sub>2) dictates zo.es o. high purity limesto.es that are o. desirable industrial applicatio.s. Relatively high silica co.tent in the no.thwestern part is po.sible indicatio. o. o.tlets to.the co.tinental o. inland areas where clastic sediment so.rce may have been pro.inent. The water level in the Three Go.ges Dam reservo.r is expected to.change between the elevatio.s o. 145 m and 175 m, as a functio. o. the flo.d co.tro. implementatio. and the intensity o. the annual flo.d. As a matter o. fact, the hydraulical and mechanical lo.dings, related to.the water level mo.ificatio.s, will result in alteratio.s in the slo.e stability co.ditio.s. The to.n o. Bado.g (Hubei), o. 20 000 inhabitants, is o.e o. the to.ns which was submerged by the impo.ndment o. the reservo.r. As a co.sequence, the new to.n o. Bado.g was co.structed o. a nearby site which appeared to.be partly an unstable site. A part o. this site co.respo.ds to.an o.d landslide, the Huangtupo.landslide, the base o. which had to.be submerged by the water o. the reservo.r. The analysis o. the Huangtupo.landslide, taking into.acco.nt vario.s events scenario., drainage and reinfo.cement measures and mo.ito.ing devices, allo.s to.illustrate the general pro.ess implemented all alo.g the reservo.r in o.der to.mitigate the landslide hazard.

Multicenter studies are therefo.e necessary;hence the interest o. this wo.k, the main o.jective o. which was to.describe the anthro.o.etric pro.ile o. full-term newbo.ns in the city o. Do.ala. Metho.o.o.y: We carried o.t a cro.s-sectio.al study with an analytical aim and pro.pective data co.lectio. in the maternity wards o. the Do.ala General Ho.pital, Laquintinie Ho.pital, District ho.pitals o. Deido. Nylo. and Bo.assama o.er a perio. o. 4 mo.ths (January to.April 2020). We were interested in any newbo.n, bo.n alive, vaginally o. by cesarean sectio., seen in the first 24 ho.rs fro. a full-term single-fetal pregnancy who.e mo.her had given co.sent. We excluded newbo.ns who.e term was unclear and tho.e with co.genital malfo.matio.s o. signs o. embryo.fo.to.athy. Data co.lectio. was do.e using structured and pre-tested survey sheets. The study variables were o.stetric and anthro.o.etric. Statistical analyzes were carried o.t with CS Pro.7.3 and SPSS versio. 25.0 so.tware. The Student, Chi-square and Fischer tests were used to.co.pare the means o. the variables, the percentages with a significance thresho.d P value Results: During the study perio., 305 full-term newbo.ns were included, divided into.172 bo.s and 133 girls. The average anthro.o.etric parameters o. the full-term newbo.n in the city o. Do.ala were: average weight: 3305 grams, average height: 49.8 centimeters, average head circumference: 34.6 centimeters, average upper arm circumference: 11.3 centimeters, circumference average tho.acic: 32.8 centimeters. A cupric o.ide （Cuo. nano.rystal-do.ed NaC1 single crystal and a pure NaCl single crystal are gro.n by using the Czo.hralski （Cz） metho.. A number o. techniques, including X-ray diffractio. （XRD）, scanning electro. micro.co.y （SEM）, energy dispersive X-ray （EDX） analysis, Fo.rier transfo.m infrared （FT-ir） spectro.co.y, Raman spectro.co.y, o.tical abso.ptio. in the UV-visible range, and pho.o.uminescence （PL） spectro.co.y are used to.characterize the o.tained NaCl and NaCI：Cuo.crystals. It is o.served that the average radius o. Cuo.crystallites in NaCI：Cuo.crystal is abo.t 29.87 nm, as derived fro. the XRD data analysis. Mo.eo.er, FT-ir and Raman spectro.co.y results co.firm the existence o. the mo.o.linic Cuo.phase in NaC1 crystal. UV-visible abso.ptio. measurements indicate that the band gap o. the NaCI：Cuo.crystal is 434 nm （2.85 eV）, and it sho.s a significant amo.nt o. blue-shift （AEg = 1 eV ） in the band gap energy o. Cuo. which is due to.the quantum co.finement effect exerted by the Cuo.nano.rystals. The PL spectrum o. the NaCI：Cuo.sho.s a bro.d emissio. band centred at aro.nd 438 rim, which is co.sistent with the abso.ptio. measurement.

Virus-induced gene silencing （VIGS） has been sho.n to.be effective fo. transient kno.kdo.n o. gene expressio. in plants to.analyze the effects o. specific genes in develo.ment and stress-related respo.ses. VlGS is well established fo. studies o. mo.el systems and cro.s within the So.anaceae, Brassicaceae, Leguminaceae, and Po.ceae, but o.ly recently has been applied to.plants residing o.tside these families. Here, we have demo.strated that barley stripe mo.aic virus （BSMV） can infect two.species within the Zingiberaceae, and that BSMV-VIGS can be applied to.specifically do.n-regulate phyto.ne desaturase in the culinary ginger Zingiber o.ficinale. These results suggest that extensio. o. BSMV-VlGS to.mo.o.o.s o.her than cereals has the po.ential fo. directed genetic analyses o. many impo.tant temperate and tro.ical cro. species.

The synthesis o. two.dimensio.al （2D） layered materials with co.tro.lable thickness is o. co.siderable interest fo. diverse applicatio.s. Here we repo.t the first chemical vapo. depo.itio. gro.th o. single- and few-layer Mo.e2 nano.heets. By using Se and Mo.3 as the chemical vapo. supply, we demo.strate that highly crystalline Mo.e2 can be directly gro.n o. the 300 nm Sio./Si substrates to.fo.m o.tically distinguishable single- and multi-layer nano.heets, typically in triangular shaped do.ains with edge lengths aro.nd 30 btm, which can merge into.co.tinuo.s thin films upo. further gro.th. Micro.Raman spectro.co.y and imaging was used to.pro.e the thickness-dependent vibratio.al pro.erties. Pho.o.uminescence spectro.co.y demo.strates that Mo.e2 mo.o.ayers exhibit stro.g near band edge emissio. at 1.55 eV, while bilayers o. multi-layers exhibit much weaker emissio., indicating o. the transitio. to.a direct band gap semico.ducto. as the thickness is reduced to.a mo.o.ayer.

The lympho.ytes separatio. by a resetting metho. and chro.o.o.e translo.atio. analysis using chro.o.o.e painting were emplo.ed. In the case presented here, the utility o. this appro.ch is illustrated using blo.d lympho.ytes fro. a nuclear do.kyard wo.ker who.claims that his leukemia was induced by-wo.k-related radiatio. expo.ures. Blo.d lympho.ytes were o.tained after diagno.is o. the disease, but prio. to.therapy, and measurements made o. (1) the translo.atio. frequency in separated no.mal T-lympho.ytes and (2) the translo.atio. frequency in phyto.emagglutinin (PHA) stimulated lympho.ytes, which include a fractio. o. the malignant B cells.
