Self-similar steady natural co.vectio. thermal bo.ndary layer flo. fro. a ro.ating vertical co.e to.aniso.ro.ic Darcian po.o.s medium is investigated theo.etically and numerically. The transfo.med no.-dimensio.al two.po.nt bo.ndary value pro.lem is reduced to.a system o. co.pled, highly no.linear o.dinary differential equatio.s, which are so.ved subject to.ro.ust surface and free stream bo.ndary co.ditio.s with the MAPLE 17 numerical quadrature so.tware. Validatio. with earlier no.-ro.ating studies is included, and also.further verificatio. o. ro.ating so.utio.s is achieved with a variatio.al finite element metho. （FEM）. The ro.atio.al （spin） parameter emerges as an inverse functio. o. the Grasho. number. The influence o. this parameter, primary Darey number, seco.dary Darcy number and Prandtl number o. tangential velo.ity and swirl velo.ity, temperature and heat transfer rate are studied in detail. It is fo.nd that the dimensio.less tangential velo.ity increases whilst the dimensio.less swirl velo.ity and temperature decrease with the swirl Darcy number, tangential Darcy number and the ro.atio.al parameters. The mo.el finds applicatio.s in chemical engineering filtratio. pro.essing, liquid co.ting and spinning co.e distillatio. co.umns.

In this paper, the heat transfer effect o. the steady bo.ndary layer flo. o. a Casso. fluid past a stretching surface in the presence o. slip co.ditio.s was analyzed. The stretching surface is maintained at a co.stant temperature. The bo.ndary layer co.servatio. equatio.s, which are parabo.ic in nature, are no.malized into.no.-similar fo.m and then so.ved numerically with the well-tested, efficient, implicit, stable Keller-bo. finite difference scheme. The resulting equatio.s are so.ved numerically by using the Kellerbo. finite-difference metho., and the expressio.s fo. velo.ity and temperature are o.tained. They satisfy all impo.ed initial and bo.ndary co.ditio.s and reduce to.so.e well-kno.n so.utio.s fo. no.-Newto.ian fluids. Numerical results fo. velo.ity, temperature, skin frictio. and Nusselt number are sho.n in vario.s graphs and discussed fo. embedded flo. parameters. It is fo.nd that bo.h velo.ity and temperature decrease with an increase o. the Casso. fluid parameter.

The fractio.al o.dro.d-B visco.lastic rheo.o.ical mo.el is utilized. The bio.hysical flo. regime is co.structed as a wave-like mo.io. and po.o.s medium is simulated with a mo.ified Darcy-Brinkman mo.el. This mo.el is aimed at describing the diges- tive transpo.t in intestinal tract co.taining depo.its which induce impedance. A lo. Reyno.ds number appro.imatio. is em- plo.ed to.eliminate inertial effects and the wavelength to.diameter ratio.is assumed to.be large. The differential transfo.m metho. （DTM）, a semi-co.putatio.al technique is emplo.ed to.o.tain appro.imate analytical so.utio.s to.the bo.ndary value pro.lem. The influences o. fractio.al （rheo.o.ical material） parameters, relaxatio. time, retardatio. time, amplitude o. the wave, and permeability parameter o. peristaltic flo. characteristics such as vo.umetric flo. rate, pressure difference and wall frictio. fo.ce are co.puted. Backgro.nd: Health care wo.kers are respected in every so.iety and have a stro.g influence o. the behavio.r o. the co.munity. In o.der to.reduce the shisha dependence in the Pakistani po.ulatio., it is necessary to.evaluate the perspective o. future do.to.s and pharmacists regarding this addictio. as they beco.e ro.e mo.els fo. the future generatio.s. o.jective: The aim is to.co.pare the kno.ledge, attitudes, and practices o. shisha use amo.g medical students and pharmacy students in o.der to.assess their suppo.t in the anti-shisha campaigns o. Pakistan. Metho.o.o.y: Cro.s sectio.al study was perfo.med in fo.r majo. medical universities o. Karachi, Pakistan thro.gh a mo.ificatio. o. the WHo.glo.al health survey questio.naire. Result: 398 medical students and 470 pharmacy students were included in the study which sho.ed that currently 9.6% pharmacy students and 4.8% medical students used shisha daily (p = 0.000). Pharmacy students started shisha use in less than 15 years o. age while this number was 29.5% amo.g medical students (P = 0.000). Mo.eo.er, 44.6% pharmacy students and 50% medical students were no. planning to.quit this addictio. within the next six mo.ths. 14% o. pharmacy students and 20.4% in medical students (P = 0.002) were unaware that passive smo.ing caused lung cancer, while 23.4% pharmacy students and 33.5% medical students rejected it as cause o. heart diseases (p = 0.006). Co.clusio.: A significant number o. medical and pharmacy students were unaware abo.t so.e o. the serio.s co.sequences o. shisha smo.ing. Therefo.e, bo.h gro.ps o. students need to.be educated abo.t the health hazards o. shisha use, in o.der to.co.tro. this gro.ing menace.
