Their radio.o.ical diagno.is o. metaphyseal bo.e gro.th must be co.firmed o. patho.o.ical examinatio.. These tumo.s can remain asympto.atic fo. a lo.g time and reveal themselves during a particularly vascular co.plicatio.. The o.jective o. this study was to.describe the epidemio.o.ical, diagno.tic, therapeutic and evo.utio.ary aspects o. these tumo.s. Patient and o.servatio.: We repo.t the case o. a 15-year-o.d ado.escent girl, with no.particular patho.o.ical histo.y, received in the pediatric surgery department o. the Do.ka Natio.al Ho.pital (HND) o. the Co.akry University Ho.pital fo. recurrent acute painful swelling o. the lo.er third o. the left thigh in an afebrile co.text acco.panied by lameness and sto.ping scho.l fo. a few days (2 - 3 days). The sympto.s appear to.have evo.ved o.er the past 3 years and after physical activities. It regresses with rest, analgesics and no.-stero.dal anti-inflammato.y drugs. The no.io. o. trauma and sickle cell disease was no. repo.ted in the patient's clinical histo.y. It is the persistence o. the sympto.ato.o.y which mo.ivates the said co.sultatio.. o. palpatio., a small hard mass is no.ed at the expense o. the internal metaphysis o. the left distal femur. Deep palpatio. o. this area causes a tingling sensatio. and during rapid mo.ilizatio. o. the knee. The remainder o. the o.tho.edic examinatio. was unremarkable. Standard x-ray o. the femur sho.s a bo.y gro.th with a po.nted tip fro. the distal metaphysis o. the left femur. o. surgical explo.atio., we no.ed a wedge-shaped exo.to.is o.iented to.ards the vastus medialis muscle. Histo.o.ical examinatio. o. the surgical specimen co.firms o.teo.enic exo.to.is. There is no.recurrence after 2 years. Co.clusio.: The distal femo.al metaphysis is the mo.t co.mo. lo.atio. o. so.itary o.teo.ho.dro.as in children. Their definitive diagno.is requires the histo.o.y o.

Purpo.e: To.describe the epidemio.o.ical, clinical and therapeutic aspects o. seco.dary hyperparathyro.dism inrenal failure chro.ic. Patients and metho.s: We co.lected 11 cases o. hyperparathyro.dism seco.dary to.renal failure terminal o.erated in the Service o. surgery B o. the Central Ho.pital University o. Po.nt G between December 2016 and No.ember 2018. Results: The sex ratio.was 0.22 in favo. o. wo.en. The average age o. the patients was 43 o. 27 years with extremes o. 63 and 25 years. Seco.dary hyperparathyro.dism in renal failure chro.ic represented 1.9% o. interventio.s to.co.d in the Service o. surgery B. 100% o. patients (11/11) were haemo.ialysis. 100% o. the patients had clinical and bio.o.ical signs. 45.5% (5/11) had radio.o.ical signs. The average rate o. parathyro.d ho.mo.e was 2413.51 pg/ml with extremes o. 1264 pg/ml and 3616 pg/ml. The reference value was 15 - 65 pg/ml. The surgical technique o. cho.ce was the 7/8th parathyro.decto.y in 100% o. cases. The po.to.erative were simple in 81.8%, and co.plicated in 18.2%. There were no.death. The average duratio. o. po.to.erative fo.lo.-up was 6 mo.ths. After surgery, 50% o. patients (5/10) had no.mal levels o. parathyro.d ho.mo.e and 50% (5/10) made a persistent hyperparathyro.dism. Co.clusio.: Seco.dary hyperparathyro.dism is a frequent co.plicatio. in renal insufficient chro.ic in hemo.ialysis. Surgery is indicated in the resistant cases o. medical treatment. The 7/8th parathyro.decto.y is the surgical technique o. cho.ce. The rate o. po.t o.erative co.plicatio.s is higher in o.r co.text.

Intro.uctio.: Malnutritio. is a patho.o.ical state resulting fro. the relative deficiency o. excess o. o.e o. mo.e essential nutrients, whether manifested clinically o. detected o.ly by bio.hemical, anthro.o.etric o. physio.o.ical analyses. The o.erall o.jective was to.assess the quality o. management o. acute malnutritio. in children aged 0 - 24 mo.ths at the Bo.lbinet health center. Metho.o.o.y: This was a pro.pective descriptive study lasting six (06) mo.ths fro. May 5 to.o.to.er 5, 2018. The study included all children aged 0 to.24 mo.ths. Results: Acute malnutritio. in children aged 0 - 24 mo.ths acco.nted fo. 2.11% o. cases. The sex ratio.was 1.41 in favo. o. males. The mean age o. o.r patients was 5 mo.ths 7 days, with extremes o. 1 mo.th and 6 mo.ths. The majo.ity came fro. Ra to.a (40.24%). Exclusive breastfeeding was mo.t co.mo. (54.02%). The main clinical signs were: pallo. 49.42%, diarrhea 46.67, o.al lesio.s37.96%. SAM represented 89.66% and MAM 10.34%. Mo.t asso.iated patho.o.ies: anemia 49.42% and o.al candidiasis 37.93%. Intro.uctio.: Middle ear surgery is increasingly perfo.med in o.r department. o.r go.l was to.take sto.k o. this activity in the ENT department o. the Do.ka Natio.al Ho.pital. Equipment and Metho.s: It was a descriptive and retro.pective study;it invo.ved 71 patients’ reco.ds o.erated fro. January 1, 2018 to.December 31, 2023. We included the files o. patients who.had a middle ear surgery including the po.t-o.erative repo.t and fo.lo.-up. Inco.plete o. illegible reco.ds were excluded. The parameters studied were epidemio.o.ical, o.o.co.ic, to.o.ensito.etric, surgical indicatio.s, surgical techniques and results. Results: We reco.ded 71 middle ear surgeries o.t o. 548 ENT surgeries, the prevalence was 12.96%. The average age was 23 years (type-deviatio. = 17, 29 years) with extremes o. 3 to.75 years. Acco.ding to.the preo.erative audio.etry, the deafness was medium (48.8%), mild (36.9%) and severe (14.3%). The o.erative indicatio.s were amo.g o.hers: perfo.atio. o. the tympanic sequellar (52.5%), chro.ic o.o.asto.ditis (23.8%), cho.esteato.a (15%) and sero.uqueo.s o.itis (8.7%). We perfo.med 70 tympano.lasties (90.9%), 50 masto.decto.ies (64.9%) and 7 trans-tympanic aerato.s (9.1%). o.e mo.th after surgery, the neo.ympanum was co.stituted in 86%, and the hearing gain was between 11 and 15 dB in 18.3% o. cases. Co.clusio.: Middle ear surgery was infrequent. Yo.ng subjects are the mo.t co.cerned. Tympano.lasty and masto.decto.y are the main surgical techniques. The anato.ical and functio.al results are appreciable.

Intro.uctio.: Laparo.co.ic cho.ecystecto.y is the go.d standard in the treatment o. gallsto.es and lithiasis cho.ecystitis. It reduces po.t-o.erative co.plicatio.s especially in sickle cell patients. Aim: The aim o. this wo.k was to.co.pare the results o. laparo.co.ic cho.ecystecto.y in sickle cell and no.-sickle cell patients. Metho.s: Sixty-six patients including 25 sickle cell patients and 41 no.-sickle cell patients were identified fro. March 2013 to.No.ember 2014 (20 mo.ths). The χ2 test was used fo. co.pariso.s. Values o. p o. a statistically significant difference thresho.d. Results: The mean age was 25.76 years fo. the sickle cell gro.p and 45.61 years fo. the no.-sickle cell gro.p (p = 0.00008). There were 14/25 female patients in the sickle cell gro.p and 28/41 in the no.-sickle cell gro.p. In per o., the diagno.is o. acute cho.ecystitis was retained fo. 4/25 sickle cell patients and fo. 10/41 no.-sickle cell patients. Diagno.es such as pyo.ho.ecyst (2 cases), po.celain vesicle (2 cases), hydro.ho.ecyst (2 cases) were fo.nd in the gro.p o. no.-sickle cell patients. o.erative difficulties such as tight perivicular adhesio.s were enco.ntered 9/25 times in the sickle cell gro.p and 11/41 times in the no.-sickle cell gro.p. The average o.erall o.erative time was 55 min. There was no.statistically significant difference between the different gro.ps in mean o.erative time, o.currence o. po.to.erative co.plicatio. and average length o. ho.pital stay. The mo.tality is no. statistically different acco.ding to.the gro.p o. patients. Co.clusio.: There is no.significant difference between the cho.ecystecto.y perfo.med in sickle cell patients and that perfo.med in no.-sickle cell patients. The multidisciplinary perio.erative management o. sickle cell patients reduces the risk o. co.plicatio.s arising fro. this patho.o.y.

Intro.uctio.: Cystic lymphangio.as are rare benign malfo.mative tumo.s o. the lymphatic system o. o.scure etio.atho.enesis. The cervico.facial lo.atio. remains the mo.t co.mo. (75%). Altho.gh benign, these tumo.s remain po.entially fatal, due to.po.sible co.pressio. o. the upper aero.digestive tract. The aim o. this wo.k is to.study the epidemio.o.ical, diagno.tic and therapeutic characteristics o. cervico.mandibular co.genital cystic lymphangio.as in the pediatric surgery department o. the Do.ka Natio.al Ho.pital (HND) Co.akry. Patients and metho.s: This is a retro.pective and descriptive study o. 13 files lasting 7 years fro. January 2015 to.December 31, 2021. The files o. children who.e age is less than o. equal to.15 years o.erated o. cervical tumo. with histo.o.ical evidence o. cystic lymphangio.a were retained. The data were analyzed using SPSS statistical so.tware 21 and ano.ymo.sly. Results: The incidence o. this study was 1.86 cases per year and a sex ratio.o. 0.62 in favo. o. girls. The average age was 8 mo.ths 19 days. In the antecedents, we o.ly find po.rly mo.ito.ed pregnancies. The average size o. the tumo.s was 11.85 cm. Cervical ultraso.nd and standard x-ray o. the cervical mass were the o.ly examinatio.s perfo.med. To.al surgical excisio. o. the cervical tumo. was perfo.med in all patients. The mass was po.ycystic o. explo.atio.. The histo.o.ical examinatio. o. the surgical specimens was in favo. o. a cystic lymphangio.a. The surgical co.sequences were simple in 11 patients (84.62%) and co.plicated by parietal suppuratio. in 2 cases (15.38%). There were no.cases o. recurrence after o.e year o. fo.lo.-up. Intro.uctio.: o.o.hino.aryngo.o.ical (o.L) and cervico.acial traumas enco.pass injuries affecting the neck, face, and o.L regio., resulting fro. external influence. The o.jective o. this study was to.co.duct an epidemio.o.ical and clinical analysis o. o.L and cervico.acial injuries o.served in victims o. ro.d accidents treated at the o.o.hino.aryngo.o.y (o.L) department o. the Regio.al Ho.pital o. Mamo.. Materials and Metho.s: This pro.pective and descriptive study was co.ducted o.er a perio. o. 12 mo.ths, fro. January 1st to.December 31st, 2021, within the o.o.hino.aryngo.o.y (o.L) department o. the Regio.al Ho.pital o. Mamo.. It included patients ho.pitalized fo. o.L and/o. cervico.acial traumas resulting fro. ro.d accidents during the study perio.. Results: A to.al o. 348 cases were included, representing 36.22% o. all traumas related to.ro.d accidents (AVP) within the Regio.al Ho.pital o. Mamo.. The average age o. the patients was 26.44 years, with a sex ratio.o. 3.83, favo.ing males. The do.inant so.io.pro.essio.al catego.y was students, enco.passing 32.47% o. cases. Ro.d accidents were mainly asso.iated with mo.o.cycle use (31.32% mo.o.cycle-to.mo.o.cycle, 24.43% mo.o.cycle skidding, 13.51% mo.o.cycle-pedestrian). Facial regio. injuries were the mo.t co.mo., acco.nting fo. 69.03% o. cases, fo.lo.ed by rhino.o.ical injuries (17.28%) and o.o.o.ical injuries (13.69%). Asso.iated injuries were predo.inantly clo.ed head traumas (52.55%) and lo.er limb fractures (20.41%). Imaging was underutilized. Regarding surgical interventio.s, reco.structive surgery was the mo.t predo.inant, acco.nting fo. 52.51% o. cases, with a management timeframe o. 30 minutes to.12 ho.rs fo. 99.72% o. patients. Co.clusio.: Ro.d traffic accidents remain a serio.s public health issue, primarily affecting yo.ng males. Emphasis sho.ld be placed o. ro.d safety measures to.reduce the frequency o. these accidents.

Intro.uctio.: Neo.atal mo.tality remains a majo. public health co.cern. Acco.ding to.the Wo.ld Health o.ganisatio. (WHo., the number o. newbo.ns dying each year has fallen fro. 5 millio. in 1990 to.2.4 millio. in 2019. The aim o. o.r study was to.describe the main mo.bid co.ditio.s and their lethality in newbo.ns admitted to.the paediatric ward o. the CSREF in Co.mune V. Metho.o.o.y: We co.ducted a 12-mo.th pro.pective descriptive and analytical study fro. August 2020 to.July 2021. Results: During the 12 mo.ths o. the study, o.t o. 2654 neo.ates admitted to.ho.pital, 216 met o.r inclusio. criteria, i.e. 8%. Newbo.ns admitted in the first few ho.rs o. life represented 99.54% o. cases. Full-term newbo.ns acco.nted fo. 65.74% o. the to.al. Fo.ty-eight percent o. newbo.ns had hypo.hermia o. admissio.. The mo.t co.mo. diagno.is was asphyxia in 55.56% o. cases, fo.lo.ed by neo.atal infectio. in 27.78% and prematurity in 10.65%. Death was reco.ded in 22.2% o. cases. Asphyxia was the main cause o. neo.atal death, fo.lo.ed by prematurity in o.r co.text. Co.sidered as rare in Africa lithiasis o. the main bile duct (MBD) is a po.entially serio.s patho.o.y, diagno.is is facilitated by imaging tests (ultra-so.nd, CT, MRI cho.angio.ancreato.raphy). Its surgical management is impro.ed by laparo.co.y co.pled with interventio.al endo.co.y. Ho.ever, laparo.o.y remains the o.ly way in Mali. This was a 14-years retro.pective and descriptive study (2010-2014). All patients with BPV lithiasis were included. We studied the field, antecedents, clinical, bio.o.ical, radio.o.ical, therapeutic and o.tco.e aspects. 40 cases o. sto.es in the main bile duct were co.lected during the study perio.. The ho.pital frequency was 2.8 cases per year, the clinical signs do.inated by the Charco. triad (pain, fever, jaundice) fo.nd in 40 cases (100%). The average age was 60 years, female represented 70% o. cases. Ultraso.o.raphy was the mo.t requested review in 40 cases (100%). The pro.edure perfo.med was cho.ecystecto.y asso.iated with cho.edo.ho.o.y with calculatio. extractio. in all patients (100% o. cases). o.e case o. biliary fistula and o.e case o. wall abscess were o.served. The mo.tality was 5% and the simple suited in 90% o. the cases. The lithiasis o. the main bile duct is an infrequent patho.o.y in Mali and po.entially serio.s. This diagno.is is assisted in o.r co.text by ultraso.nd and CT. Laparo.o.y remains the o.ly ro.te o. entry in Mali.
