Software Defect Prediction Harnessing on Multi 1-Dimensional Convolutional Neural Network Structure

Developing successful software with no defects is one of the main goals of software *** order to provide a software project with the anticipated software quality,the prediction of software defects plays a vital *** learning,and particularly deep learning,have been advocated for predicting software defects,however both suffer from inadequate accuracy,overfitting,and complicated *** this paper,we aim to address such issues in predicting software *** propose a novel structure of 1-Dimensional Convolutional Neural Network(1D-CNN),a deep learning architecture to extract useful knowledge,identifying and modelling the knowledge in the data sequence,reduce overfitting,and finally,predict whether the units of code are defects *** design large-scale empirical studies to reveal the proposed model’s effectiveness by comparing four established traditional machine learning baseline models and four state-of-the-art baselines in software defect prediction based on the NASA *** experimental results demonstrate that in terms of f-measure,an optimal and modest 1DCNN with a dropout layer outperforms baseline and state-of-the-art models by 66.79%and 23.88%,respectively,in ways that minimize overfitting and improving prediction performance for software *** to the results,1D-CNN seems to be successful in predicting software defects and may be applied and adopted for a practical problem in software ***,in turn,could lead to saving software development resources and producing more reliable software.

Feasibility of Integrating Bimetallic Au-Ag Non-Alloys Nanoparticles Embedded in Reduced Graphene Oxide Photodetector

To coordinate the resonant wavelength of the plasmonic nanoparticles(NPs),the emission band of the reduced graphene oxide(rGO)photodetector at the NIR-region is crucial for the optimal plasmon-enhanced luminescence in the *** contrast to monometallic NPs,where limits the dimensions and extended resonant wavelength,we integrated an Au-Ag bimetallic NPs(BMNPs)to enable resonance tuning at the longer wavelength at the excitation source of 785 *** features showed an increase in radiative recombination rates as well as the quantum yield efficiency of the *** BMNPs were produced from the dewetting process of 600℃and 500℃,both at 1 min after the deposition thickness layer of Au(8 nm)and Ag(10 nm)on the Si substrate using the electron-beam evaporation *** BMNPs-rGO photodetector exhibited the responsivity of 2.25 A·W^(–1),Jones of specific detectivity of 2.45×10^(11)Jones,and external quantum efficiency(EQE)of 356%.The rise time and fall time for the photodetector were 32 ns and 186 ns,*** work provided an essential information to enable the versatile plasmon-enhanced application in 2-dimensional(2D)material optoelectronic devices.

Background:Sepsis,a potentially fatal inflammatory disease triggered by infection,carries significant healthimplications *** detection is crucial as sepsis can rapidly escalate if left *** in deep learning(DL)offer powerful tools to address this ***:Thus,this study proposeda hybrid CNNBDLSTM,a combination of a convolutional neural network(CNN)with a bi-directional long shorttermmemory(BDLSTM)model to predict sepsis *** the proposed model provides a robustframework that capitalizes on the complementary strengths of both architectures,resulting in more accurate andtimelier ***:The sepsis prediction method proposed here utilizes temporal feature extraction todelineate six distinct time frames before the onset of *** time frames adhere to the sepsis-3 standardrequirement,which incorporates 12-h observation windows preceding sepsis *** models were trained usingthe Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care III(MIMIC-III)dataset,which sourced 61,522 patients with 40clinical variables obtained from the IoT medical *** confusion matrix,the area under the receiveroperating characteristic curve(AUCROC)curve,the accuracy,the precision,the F1-score,and the recall weredeployed to evaluate ***:The CNNBDLSTMmodel demonstrated superior performance comparedto the benchmark and other models,achieving an AUCROC of 99.74%and an accuracy of 99.15%one hour beforesepsis *** results indicate that the CNNBDLSTM model is highly effective in predicting sepsis onset,particularly within a close proximity of one ***:The results could assist practitioners in increasingthe potential survival of the patient one hour before sepsis onset.

Segmental reporting by Malaysian companies： IAS 14 versus MASB 22

This paper reports on the effects of a local standard, MASB 22, on disclosure practices among Malaysian companies and whether the introduction of MASB 22 has resulted in greater level of disclosure with respect to segmental reporting in Malaysia compared to its predecessor segmental reporting under IAS 14. Based on the Annual Reports of top 53 by market capitalization companies listed on the main board of Bursa Malaysia in 2003, findings indicate that MASB 22 has improved segment disclosure practices of sample companies compared to IAS 14 regime, with greater number of line of business and geographical segments reported by sample companies.

Burkholderia pseudomallei is a causative agent of melioidosis that can infect humans and animals in endemic countries,specifically in Southeast Asia and tropical Australia.A fundamental component for the pathogenesis of Burkholderia pseudomallei is the capability of the bacterium to enter,survive,replicate,and cause disease in a host cell by inducing the host cell *** fusion results in multinucleated-giant cell formation,thus enabling the dissemination of Burkholderia pseudomallei *** reacts to Burkholderia pseudomallei infection by activating the cGAS-STING pathway and subsequently limiting host's aberrant cell division and cellular replication by inducing autophagic cell *** this review,we discuss the host-pathogen interactions between the typeⅥsecretion system 5(T6SS-5)of Burkholderia pseudomallei and human cGAS pathway in melioidosis *** T6SS-5 is a main virulent factor in Burkholderia pseudomallei and the c GAS pathway is vital for host immune response,elucidating their functions is important for better understanding the pathogenesis of Burkholderia pseudomallei.

Cerebral small vessel disease(CSVD)is a leading cause of age-related microvascular cognitive decline,resulting in significant morbidity and decreased quality of *** a progress on its key pathophysiological bases and general acceptance of key terms from neuroimaging findings as observed on the magnetic resonance imaging(MRI),key questions on CSVD remain *** relationships and reliable lesion studies,such as white matter tractography using diffusion-based MRI(dMRI)are necessary in order to improve the assessment of white matter architecture and connectivity in *** tensor imaging(DTI)and tractography is an application of dMRI that provides data that can be used to non-invasively appraise the brain white matter connections via fiber tracking and enable visualization of individual patient-specific white matter fiber tracts to reflect the extent of CSVD-associated white matter ***,due to a lack of standardization on various sets of software or image pipeline processing utilized in this technique that driven mostly from research setting,interpreting the findings remain contentious,especially to inform an improved diagnosis and/or prognosis of CSVD for routine clinical *** this minireview,we highlight the advances in DTI pipeline processing and the prospect of this DTI metrics as potential imaging biomarker for CSVD,even for subclinical CSVD in at-risk individuals.

Accounting for goodwill under FRS 136： Case of Malaysian plantation companies

The introduction of FRS （financial reporting standards） 136 to Malaysian PLC＇s （public limited company） in 2006 indirectly formalized accounting for purchased goodwill for the first time. Based on a sample of 2006 annual reports of 10 Main Board companies from plantation sector, the study finds the level of desired disclosure has yet to be met. Whilst the intention of the standard is noble, actual practice for first time reporting entities indicate that Malaysian PLC＇s and their auditors have far to go before they can meet the expectation set by FRS 136 in particular and International Financial Reporting Standards in general.

Ibn khaldun’s Theory of ‘Asabiyyah and Its Impact on the Current Muslim Community

This paper seeks to study the theory of ‘asabiyyah by Ibn khaldun, a well-known North African historiographer from 14th century. It examines Ibn khaldun’s original thoughts on ‘asabiyyah and how he did retool it for the beneficial purposes. At the same time, the paper tries to compare the term of ‘asabiyyah as proposed by Ibn khaldun with the interpretation made by the West in the current world. This study also will give some inputs on the implementation of Ibn khaldun’s theory of ‘asabiyyah, and it will expose how the theory could benefit the Muslim civilization to soar as a great nation. The descriptive method has been used in this study to present the right information about Ibn khaldun and his theory. It is hoped that this study could enhance our understanding on the term of ‘asabiyyah in its positive connotation, as the term has been recognized negatively among people today.

Real Time Controller System for Lowland Tropical Greenhouse

The environmental problem faced by the tropical countries like Malaysia is due to the high relative humidity and temperature of the outside air, which increase the ambient humidity and temperature of the greenhouse. In lowland greenhouse, it is possible that the air temperature can be decreased to the desired value by mixing with a certain amount of dried-cooled air from a cooling source The Vapor Pressure Deficit （VPD） analysis introduces an approach to develop a better basis of environment control for lowland greenhouse in Malaysia. The VPD software for the greenhouse control system was developed using the studies of VPD which can be used to identify air moisture conditions for plant production while taking into account different temperature levels. Vapor Pressure Deficit functions as a convenient indicator of the condensation potential as it quantifies how close the greenhouse air is to saturation. The concepts of VPD can be used to establish set points for temperature and relative humidity, which are two important environmental factors influencing the growth and development of greenhouse crops. The real-time controller using a PIC16f876A was developed to maintain the ideal Vapor Pressure Deficit （VPD） inside the lowland tropical greenhouse located at the Universiti Putra Malaysia. A LM35 3-pin temperature sensor was connected to a microcontroller to determine the temperature in the greenhouse for required time and period. This device can measure temperature from 2 0 C up to 100 0 C and the output voltage temperature relationship is 10mV/ 0 C. The humidity sensor that was used in this project is HH10D. It is a frequency output type sensor that can be easily integrated with user application system. Cooling is required to decrease the ambient temperature and adjust the relative humidity level inside greenhouse. Background Absenteeism amongst pre-school children is often due to illnesses such as hand,foot,and mouth disease,acute gastroenteritis,cold and flu,which are easily spread amongst *** is because of weak immunity and lack of knowledge on proper hand *** quasi-experimental study assessed the efficacy of an intervention consisting of a hand hygiene education programme,along with digital tools in bringing about a change in behaviour and health conditions amongst pre-school children in klang Valley,*** A total of 377 school children,male and female,aged 5–6 years old,participated and were assigned to either the intervention or a control *** the 2 months intervention period,children in the test group were trained on proper hand hygiene practices and techniques with the aid of the interactive android-based *** numbers of absent days of all the children were recorded for 2 months before the intervention and during the *** In the test group,there was a 25%increase in the total number of absent days from the pre-intervention period to the intervention period,a much lesser increment observed as compared to that of control group in which the increase was much higher at 89%.Results showed a significant difference(P<0·05)between the absenteeism rates for the test and control group during the intervention *** These results suggest that proper education and intervention increase hand hygiene compliance,which may help decrease school absenteeism due to illness;however,a longer study duration may be necessary to evaluate the benefit further.
