Background:Existing reporting guidelines pay insufficient attention to the detail and comprehensiveness reporting of surgical *** Surgical techniqUe rePorting chEcklist and standaRds(SUPER)aims to address this gap by defining reporting standards for surgical *** SUPER guideline intends to apply to articles that encompass surgical technique in any study design,surgical discipline,and stage of surgical ***:Following the EQUATOR(Enhancing the QUAlity and Transparency Of health Research)Network approach,16 surgeons,journal editors,and methodologists reviewed existing reporting guidelines relating to surgical technique,reviewed papers from 15 top journals,and brainstormed to draft initial items for the *** initial items were revised through a three-round Delphi survey from 21 multidisciplinary Delphi panel experts from 13 countries and *** final SUPER items were formed after an online consensus meeting to resolve disagreements and a three-round wording refinement by all 16 SUPER working group members and five SUPER ***:The SUPER reporting guideline includes 22 items that are considered essential for good and informative surgical technique *** items are divided into six sections:background,rationale,and objectives(items 1 to 5);preoperative preparations and requirements(items 6 to 9);surgical technique details(items 10 to 15);postoperative considerations and tasks(items 16 to 19);summary and prospect(items 20 and 21);and other information(item 22).Conclusions:The SUPER reporting guideline has the potential to guide detailed,comprehensive,and transparent surgical technique reporting for *** may also assist journal editors,peer reviewers,systematic reviewers,and guideline developers in the evaluation of surgical technique papers and help practitioners to better understand and reproduce surgical technique.

Numerical analysis of rapid drawdown: Applications in real cases

In this study, rapid drawdown scenarios were analyzed by means of numerical examples as well as modeling of real cases with in situ measurements. The aim of the study was to evaluate different approaches available for calculating pore water pressure distributions during and after a drawdown. To do that, a single slope subjected to a drawdown was first analyzed under different calculation alternatives, and numerical results were discussed. Simple methods, such as undrained analysis and pure flow analysis, implicitly assuming a rigid soil skeleton, lead to significant errors in pore water pressure distributions when compared with coupled flow-deformation analysis. A similar analysis was performed for the upstream slope of the Glen Shira Dam, Scotland, and numerical results were compared with field measurements during a controlled drawdown. Field records indicate that classical undrained calculations are conservative but unrealistic. Then, a recent case of a major landslide triggered by a rapid drawdown in a reservoir was interpreted. A key aspect of the case was the correct characterization of permeability of a representative soil profile. This was achieved by combining laboratory test results and a back analysis of pore water pressure time records during a period of reservoir water level fluctuations. The results highlight the difficulty of predicting whether the pore water pressure is overestimated or underestimated when using simplified approaches, and it is concluded that predicting the pore water pressure distribution in a slope after a rapid drawdown requires a coupled flow-deformation analysis in saturated and unsaturated porous media.

Ionic liquids as boundary additives in water-based and PAO lubricants

Ionic liquids have been widely discussed as potential lubricants,however,their properties make them also very good potential candidates as lubricant additives(e.g.,friction modifiers and anti-wear).In this work,the tribological study of two ionic liquids(tributylmethylphosphonium dimethylphosphate(PP),and 1-butyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium tris(pentafluoroethyl)trifluorophosphate(BmP))as lubricant additives has been performed on stainless steel(AISI 316L)exposed to polar(water-glycol)and non-polar(polyalphaolefin)based lubricants under boundary lubricating *** performance of these ionic liquids as lubricant additives has been compared to a classical organic friction modifier(dodecanoic acid(C12)).The water–glycol lubricant formulated with the two ionic liquids showed friction values higher than the same base lubricant formulated with dodecanoic acid,however,opposite results were observed for polyalphaolefin(PAO).A detailed surface chemical analysis using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)revealed differences in the passive/tribofilm thickness and chemical composition of the stainless steel surface tested in all *** the case of the polar lubricant additivated with ionic liquids,the tribochemical reaction accompanied by a tribocorrosion process led to the formation of an unstable passive/tribofilm resulting in high friction and ***,in the absence of tribocorrosion process(polyalphaolefin base lubricant),the tribochemical reaction led to the formation of a stable passive/tribofilm resulting in low friction and wear.A detailed surface and subsurface investigation of the microstructure using scanning electron microscopy equipped with a focused ion beam(SEm-FIB)showed that high wear rates resulted in thicker recrystallization region under the wear track *** all lubricant additives tested in this work,BmP in non-polar lubricant media showed the best tribological performance.

采用冷喷涂法在铝(Al)基体上沉积单颗粒铜(Cu),利用聚焦离子束/电子束(FIB/SEm)系统精确定位并原位制备了完整单个颗粒Cu沉积在Al基体上的透射样品,分析其显微结构及形成原因。实验结果表明,撞击过程中温度与应力分布不均匀,导致沉积Cu颗粒不均匀形变。Cu/Al界面受影响较大:颗粒动能转化为形变能和热能,打破了界面处氧化膜,使界面附近温度迅速升高,发生动态再结晶,生成金属间化合物Cu_9Al_4;Cu颗粒内距界面越远的区域,受温度和应力的影响越小,其变形主要是通过晶体内位错增殖和移动;沉积颗粒顶部,远离Cu/Al界面,几乎不受应力和温度影响,保持原始显微结构。

研究了基体材料的力学性能对冷喷涂316L不锈钢单颗粒沉积行为的影响.结果表明,除硬度之外,弹性模量和Poisson比也会影响颗粒的沉积行为.这是由于基体性质对颗粒/基体的能量分配和结合机制造成了影响.其中,沉积颗粒的变形行为与颗粒吸收的能量有关,而沉积效率与基体吸收的能量及结合机制有关.根据沉积颗粒的变形行为,将基体分为2类:颗粒几乎不变形,此时基体的硬度和弹性模量皆低于颗粒材料,颗粒与基体的结合主要是机械咬合,推导出可用于推断相同颗粒在基体上沉积趋势的参数E_(para),并以AZ91镁合金为基体进行验证;颗粒发生强烈变形,此时基体的硬度或弹性模量高于颗粒材料,结合机制更为复杂,此时增加颗粒/基体新鲜表面接触面积有利于提高沉积效率.
