Cold shock domain(CSD)-containing proteins are one of the groups of the evolutionarily conserved nucleic acid-binding proteins in all three domains of life consisting of an ancient beta-barrel fold that serves to bind nucleic *** c DnA of a novel protein-coding gene containing CSD was cloned from Glaciozyma antarctica designated as *** full length of Ga16676 gene with the size of 1335 bp encodes for an n-terminal CSD with conserved nucleic acids binding motif RnP1 and *** Ga16676 gene was cloned in p eT30 ek/LIC,sequenced,expressed and its resistance towards cold was *** protein expression of Ga16676 showed overexpressed soluble expression in both supernatant and pellet forms at 20℃.The effects of recombinant CSD protein overexpression on colony formation shows that *** cells were able to grow at 37℃and 20℃but not at 4℃while ***_Ga16676 cells were able to grow at all temperatures *** addition,***_Ga16676 cells showed higher growth rate compared to empty *** cells at 10℃.Structural analysis of Ga16676 reveals some interesting findings such as more aromatic interactions for efficient binding in low energy environment,a longer loop that may contribute to structural flexibility and clustering of charged amino acids on the protein surface that is important for protein stability and flexibility.

The effect of iridium loading on the properties and catalytic isomerization of n-heptane over Ir-HZSM-5 is studied. Ir-HZSM-5 was prepared by impregnation method and subjected to isomerization process in the presence of flowing hydrogen gas. XRD and BeT studies show that the presence of iridium stabilizes the crystalline structure of HZSM-5, leading to more ordered framework structure and larger surface area. TGA and fTIR results substantiate that iridium species interacts with OH group on the surface of HZSM-5. Pyridine fT-IR study verifies the interaction between iridium and surface OH group slightly increased the Bro¨nsted and Lewis acid sites without changing the lattice structure of HZSM-5. The presence of iridium and the increase of strong Lewis acid sites on HZSM-5 were found to bring an increase about 4.1%, 33.2% and 11.8% in conversion, selectivity and yield of n-heptane isomerization, respectively.

Landslide database construction is one of the most crucial stages of the landslide susceptibility mapping studies. Although there are many techniques for preparing landslide database in the literature, representative data selection from huge data sets is a challenging, and, to some extent, a subjective task. Thus, in order to produce reliable landslide susceptibility maps, data-driven, objective and representative database construction is a very important stage for these maps. This study mainly focuses on a landslide database construction task. In this study, it was aimed at building a representative landslide database extraction approach by using Chebyshev theorem to evaluate landslide susceptibility in a landslide prone area in the Western Black Sea region of Turkey. The study area was divided into two different parts such as training （Basin 1） and testing areas （Basin 2）. A total of nine parameters such as topographical elevation, slope, aspect, planar and profile curvatures, stream power index, distance to drainage, normalized difference vegetation index and topographical wetness index were used in the study. next, frequency distributions of the considered parameters in both landslide and nonlandslide areas were extracted using different sampling strategies, and a total of nine different landslide databases were obtained. Of these, eight databases were gathered by the methodology proposed by this study based on different standard deviations and algebraic multiplication of raster parameter maps. To evaluate landslide susceptibility, Artificial neural network method was used in the study area considering the different landslide and nonlandslide data. finally, to assess the performances of the so-produced landslide susceptibility maps based on nine data sets, Area Under Curve （AUC） approach was implemented both in Basin 1 and Basin 2. The best performances （the greatest AUC values） were gathered by the landslide susceptibility map produced by two standard deviation

In a beamhouse,liming plays a key role in the removal of hair/wool and epidermis,but problems are created when waste liming sludge is discharged to the *** treatment of tannery wastewater is another major challenge to the *** this study,thermally-activated biochars derived from liming sludge were studied for their effective adsorption of chromium(Cr)from the tannery *** thermally activated biochars(B500,B550,B600,and B650)were prepared at different temperatures from the liming *** characteristics before and after the treatment were investigated using fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,Bru-nauer-emmett-Teller,and scanning electron microscopy *** related functional groups(C-H,O-H,C-n,and=C-O)and chromium adsorption capacity were determined according to the surface morphology,element contents(C,O,Ca,na,Al,Mg,and Si),surface area(5.8-9.2 m^(2)/g),pore size(5.22-5.53 nm),and particle size(652-1034 nm)of the experimental *** biochar originated at 600°C from the tannery liming sludge(B600)had a greater surface area with a chromium adsorption capacity of 99.8%in comparison to B500,B550,and B650 *** study developed an innovative way of utilizing liming sludge waste to minimize the pollution load and wastewater treatment cost in the tannery industry.

The present study attempts to define the relationship between groundwater flow systems and the distribution of chemical facies with the aid of Geographical Information System (GIS). The study also identifies the different geochemical processes responsible for the chemical evolution of groundwater chemistry. Analytical results of 23 groundwater samples reveal mean values of cations as na+ (84.2 mg/l), K+ (4.2 mg/l), Ca2+ (27 mg/l), Mg2+ (11.5 mg/l) and fe2+ (0.6 mg/l). The anion mean values are HCO3– (4.5 mg/l), SO42– (3.7 mg/l), Cl– (22.5 mg/l) and nO3– (2.2 mg/l). Based on mean values, the cations are in order of abundance as na+ > Ca2+> Mg2+ > K+ > fe2+ while the anions reveal order of abundance as Cl– > HCO3– > SO42– > nO3– . The geographical information system (GIS) using Inverse Distance Weighted (IDW) delineate two groundwater zones into: Ca-Mg-SO4-Cl and na-SO4-Cl water types. The Ca-Mg-SO4-Cl constitutes about 35% of the chemical facies and its evolutionary trend is due to simple hydrochemical mixing between Ca-Mg-HCO3 and na-SO4-Cl facies and reverse cation exchange. The na-SO4-Cl facies constitutes about 65% of the chemical facies and represents fossil groundwater. The Ca-Mg-SO4-Cl facies is dominant in the recharge areas while na-SO4-Cl facies prevails in discharge areas. Rock-water interaction diagrams indicate precipitation induced chemical weathering along with dissolution of rock-forming minerals. The scattered plots among ions revealed geochemical processes as carbonate weathering, silicate weathering, cation exchange and sulphate reduction. HCA identified effects of rock-water interaction and anthropogenic effects as responsible for the modification of groundwater chemistry in the area.

Background: In this study, we aimed to compare the results of endovenous laser ablation (eVLA) and radiofrequency ablation (RfA) in patients with lower extremity venous insufficiency due to great saphenous vein (GSV) reflux on efficiency, patient comfort and postoperative morbidity. Methods: endovascular approach in treatment of GSV insufficiency was performed in 283 patients between 2011 and 2014 at our clinic. In group 1, eVLA was performed on 149 patients (42 male, 107 female;mean age 46.90 ± 11.43) and in group 2, RfA was performed on 134 patients (41 male, 93 female;mean age 47.02 ± 12.58). The results were compared in terms of local pain, ecchymosis, paresthesia, venous clinic severity score (VCSS), length of GSV that process performed, efficiency and Clinical etiology Anatomy Pathophysiology (CeAP) classification data. Results: GSV diameter at saphenofemoral junction level was 10.65 ± 3.72 mm and 11.29 ± 3.78 mm in group 1 and 2, respectively. Length of GSV that process performed was 38.97 ± 6.88 cm in group 1 and 41.83 ± 4.82 cm in group 2. Postoperatively burn, pulmonary embolism (Pe) and deep venous thrombosis (DVT) were not observed in both groups. Postoperative complications in group 1 were hematoma formation in 2 (1.3%) patients, ecchymosis in 13 (8.7%) patients, edema in 21 (14.1%) patients and paresthesia in 10 (6.7%) patients. Postoperative complications in group 2 were hematoma formation in 1 (0.7%) patient, ecchymosis in 8 (6%) patients, edema in 12 (9%) patients and paresthesia in 6 (4.5%) patients. The efficiency of the process was 96.6% in eVLA group and 98.5% in RfA group. Conclusion: We conclude that both RfA and 1470 nm radial fiber eVLA procedures are effective and reliable techniques in treatment of GSV insufficiency. no significant difference was found between two techniques in terms of efficiency and postoperative morbidity.

ni/PtHY with different ni loadings was prepared by impregnating HY with hexachloroplatinic acid solution and ni2＋/n,n-dimethylformamide solution. An increase in the ni loading decreased the crystallinity, specific surface area and meso-micropores of the catalysts. ni interacted with hydroxyl groups to produce IR absorption bands at 3740-3500 cm-1, Increasing ni loadings resulted in a decrease in the intensities of the broad bands at 3730-3500 cm-1 and the sharp band at 3740 cm-1 with simultaneous development of new absorbance band at 3700 cm-1 that was attributed to （-OH）ni. The acidity of the samples did not significantly change with ni loadings up to 1.0 wt%, which indicated that ni mostly interacts with non-acidic silanol groups （terminal- and structural-defect OH groups）. The presence of ni decreased the activity of PtHY toward the isomerization of n-pentane because of a decrease in the number of active protonic-acid sites that formed from molecular hydrogen. IR and eSR studies confirmed that Pt facilitated the formation of protonic-acid sites from molecular hydrogen, whereas ni, even when combined with Pt, didn＇t exhibit such ability. The absence of protonic-acid sites from molecular hydrogen significantly decreased the yield of iso-pentane and markedly increased the cracking products.
