Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a common liver malignancy and represents a serious cause of cancer-related mortality and *** of the favourable curative surgical therapeutic options for HCC is liver transplantation(LT)in selected patients fulfilling the known standard Milan/University of California San Francisco criteria which have shown better outcomes and longer-term *** careful adherence to the strict HCC selection criteria for LT in different transplant centres,the recurrence rate still occurs which could negatively affect HCC patients’*** HCC recurrence post-LT could predict patients’survival and prognosis,depending on the exact timing of recurrence after LT(early or late),and whether intra/extrahepatic HCC *** factors may aid in such a complication,particularly tumour-related criteria including larger sizes,higher grades or poor tumour differentiation,microvascular invasion,and elevated serum ***,managing such cases is challenging,different therapeutic options have been proposed,including curative surgical and ablative treatments that have shown better outcomes,compared to the palliative locoregional and systemic therapies,which may be helpful in those with unresectable tumour *** handle all these issues in our review.

Hepatic allograft rejection after liver transplantation: Clinicopathological debates

Liver transplantation(LT)represents a life-saving surgical procedure and is considered the current standard of care for the majority of patients having end-stage liver *** known,significant progress in organ preservation techniques,perioperative care,and strict immunosuppression protocols are associated with favorable patient/graft survival ***,proper evaluation of liver allograft-related complications among survivors has paid great attention,particularly the rejection sequel after *** is a seriously underestimated cause of allograft injury,which pushes researchers for understanding the exact pathogenesis of different types and proper time diagnosis for better management of such ***,it still represents a challenge because of the complexities related to diagnosis and ***,increasing clinical awareness with earlier diagnosis of post-LT rejection is essential through stimulating further ***,our review will focus on the clinicopathological debates regarding liver allograft loss after transplantation.

Hepatocellular Carcinoma Gene Expression: The New Era, Where It goes?

Hepatocellular carcinoma is known to be a common primary liver malignancy and a serious leading cause of cancerrelated mortality ***,ongoing recent advances in the genetic field regarding hepatocellular carcinoma paid researchers great attention to identifying various biomarkers to act as diagnostic and prognostic tools for the early detection of hepatocellular carcinoma and also developing targeted therapeutic agents that are indicated and available for advanced stages of hepatocellular carcinomas,however,their antitumor efficacy remains limited and under ***,our review summarized the genetic studies of liver cancer focusing on the somatic mutations,copy number variations,and epigenetic modifications that represent early alterations and oncodrivers in hepatocarcinogenesis,Moreover,the identification of genetic signatures and proteomic targets through hepatocellular carcinoma-related genome-wide screening,to show the ongoing clinical application of such analysis to facilitate diagnosis,prognosis and management of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma for a better outcome.

To the Editor,Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a common primary liver malig-nancy that mainly occurs in chronic liver disease patients with under-lying *** incidence has increased globally in the last two *** incidence is expected to increase until 2030 in certain geographical regions,namely Asia and *** increase is owing to the high endemic prevalence of viral etiologies(i.e.,hepatitis virus B/C(HBV/HCV))that result in chronic liver disease and HCC.
