Objective:Bladder cancer(BC)is a significant public health concern in the Middle East and North Africa,but the epidemiology and clinicopathology of the disease and contributors to high mortality in this region remain poorly *** aim of this systematic review was to investigate the epidemiological features of BC in the Arab world and compare them to those in Western countries in order to improve the management of this ***:An extensive electronic search of the PubMed/PMC and Cochrane Library databases was conducted to identify all articles published until May 2022,following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines.A total of 95 articles were included in the final analysis after title,abstract,and full-text screening,with additional data obtained from the GLOBOCAN and WHO 2020 databases.

Compacted layers of expansive soils are used in different engineering projects,such as subgrades,engineered clay barriers,and buffers for radioactive waste *** layers are exposed to a variety of stresses and wetting conditions during field *** between hydraulic and mechanical repeated loading provides insight understanding to the induced progressive deformation of expansive *** study was conducted to investigate the hydromechanical behavior of unsaturated compacted expansive clay under repeated loadingeunloading(RLU)*** series of onedimensional(1D)oedometer tests were conducted under controlled matric suction up to 1500 kPa using the axis translation technique(fredlund soil-water characteristic curve device,SWC-150).The first test series was carried out at different levels of controlled matric suction for non-repeated loading eunloading(NRLU)*** cycles were applied in the second test series at different repetitivestress levels and under different levels of matric *** results indicated increasing axial wetting strainε_(a)(s),axial swell pressure ss(s),compression index C_(c)(s),and swell index C_(s)(s)with suction *** estimated loadecollapse(LC)curves obtained from NRLU series(LCN)and RLU series(LCR)indicated increasing yield stress sy(s)with increasing *** is attributed to the developed apparent cohesion between soil particles,which in turn rigidifies the material *** repetitive loading induced a notable reduction of compression index C_(c)(s)at the same level of suction,whereas swell index C_(s)(s)seems to be independent of repetitive ***,repetitive loading exceeding initial yield stresses results in plastic hardening and,hence,enlargement of yield stress locus(*** curve).

This paper examines the transport analysis, including both heat transfer and mass transfer, in hybrid nanofluid flow containing gyrotactic microorganisms towards a curved oscillatory surface. The influence of magnetic fields is also inspected in terms of their physical characteristics. To depict the phenomena of transport, modified versions of both fick's and fourier's laws are used. Additionally, the characteristics of both heterogeneous and homogeneous chemical reactions are also incorporated. Utilizing a curvilinear coordinate system, the flow problem is formulated as partial differential equations(PDEs)for momentum, concentration, microorganism field, and energy. An analytical solution to the obtained flow equations is achieved utilizing the homotopy analysis method(HAM).The effects of significant flow parameters on the pressure and microorganism fields, velocity, oscillation velocity, concentration, and temperature distributions are shown via graphs. furthermore, the variations in skin friction, mass transfer rate, heat transfer rate, and local motile number due to different involved parameters are presented in tables and are analyzed in detail. Graphical results indicate that the curves of velocity and temperature fields are enhanced as the values of the solid volume fraction variables *** is also verified that the concentration rate field decreases as the values of the homogeneous reaction strength parameter and the radius of curvature parameter increase, and it increases with the Schmidt number and the heterogeneous reaction strength *** outcomes show a favorable response of the motile number to advanced values of the Peclet number, the Schmidt number, the microorganism difference parameter, and the bio-convective Lewis number.

The magnetic impacts upon the transport of heat and mass of an electrically conducting nanofluid within an annulus among an inner rhombus with convex and outer cavity with periodic temperature/concentration profiles on its left wall are assessed by the ISPH *** right wall has Tcand C,cflat walls are adiabatic,and the temperature and concentration of the left wall are altered sinusoidally with *** features of the heat and mass transfer and fluid flow through an annulus are assessed across a wide scale of Hartmann number Ha,Soret number Sr,oscillation amplitude A,Dufour number Du,nanoparticles parameterΦ,oscillation frequency f,Rayleigh number Ra,and radius of a superellipse a at Lewis number Le=20,magnetic field’s angle g=45°,Prandtl number Pr=6.2,a superellipse coefficient n=3/2,and buoyancy parameter N=*** results reveal that the velocity’s maximum reduces by 70.93%as Ha boosts from 0 to 50,and by 66.24%as coefficient a boosts from 0.1 to *** the velocity’s maximum augments by 83.04%as Sr increases from 0.6 to 2 plus a decrease in Du from 1 *** oscillation amplitude A,and frequency f are significantly affecting the nanofluid speed,and heat and mass transfer inside an *** the parameters A and f is augmenting the values of mean Nusselt number-(Sh)and mean Sherwood number^-(Nu).Increasing the radius of a superellipse a enhances the values of^(Nu)and^(Sh).

This paper uses the spectral stochastic finite element method(SSfEM)for analyzing reinforced concrete(RC)beam/slab *** doing so,it presents a new framework to study how the correlation length of a random field(Rf)with uncertain parameters will affect modeling uncertainties and reliability *** considers:1)different correlation lengths for uncertainty parameters,and 2)dead and live loads as well as the elasticity moduli of concrete and steel as a multi-dimensional Rf in concrete *** show the SSfEM’s efficiency in the study of concrete structures and to evaluate the sensitivity of the correlation length effects in evaluating the reliability,two examples of RC beams and slabs have been *** to the results,the Rf correlation length is effective in modeling uncertainties and evaluating reliabilities;the longer the correlation length,the greater the dispersion range of the structure response and the higher the failure probability.

In this paper,a comparative study on the photocatalytic degradation of the Rhodamine B(Rh B)dye as a model compound using N–fe codoped Ti O2 nanorods under UV and visible-light(λ≥420 nm)irradiations has been *** O2 photocatalysts were fabricated as aligned nanorod arrays by liquid-phase deposition process,annealed at different temperatures from 400 to 800℃.The effects of annealing temperature on the phase structure,crystallinity,BET surface area,and resulting photocatalytic activity of N–fe codoped Ti O2 nanorods were also *** degradation studies confirmed that the nanorods annealed at 600℃composed of both anatase(79%)and rutile phases(21%)and offered the highest activity and stability among the series of nanorods,as it degraded 94.8%and 87.2%Rh B in 120 min irradiation under UV and visible-light,*** 600℃,the photocatalytic performance of nanorods decreased owning to a phase change,decreased surface area and bandgap,and growth of Ti O2 crystallites induced by the annealing *** is hoped that this work could provide precious information on the design of 1 D catalyst materials with more superior photodegradation properties especially under visible-light for the further industrial applications.

This paper investigates an efficient immersed boundary method(IBM)for multiple-core CPU machines with local grid refinement for the calculation of heat transfer between fluids and finite-sized *** fluid momentum equations are solved by using the fractional step method,while the energy equation is solved by employing the second-order Adams-Bashforth *** efficient load balancing between the CPU cores,the coupling between particles and fluid is obtained by applying the body force in the fluid equations,which depends on the solid volume fraction of particles contained in each grid cell,and then by linearly interpolating the particle temperature and velocity on the fluid grid cell(in place of the delta function commonly used in literature).Several test cases from the literature are studied,and good agreement is observed between the simulation results and the ***,a scaling study on multiple core machines is performed,demonstrating the proposed IBM's capabilities for a significant reduction in processing time.

Tunnels extend in large stretches with continuous lengths of up to hundreds of kilometers which are vulnerable to faulting in earthquake-prone *** the interaction of soil and tunnel at an intersection with an active fault during an earthquake can be a beneficial guideline for tunnel design ***,a series of 4 centrifuge tests are planned and tested on continuous ***-slip suface faulting in reverse mechanism of 60°is modeled by a fault simulator box in a quasi-static *** mechanism,progression and locations of damages to the tunnels are assessed through a gradual increase in Permanent Ground Displacement(PGD).The ground surface deformations and strains,fault surface trace,fault scarp and the sinkhole caused by fault movement are observed *** ground surface deformations are major threats to stability,safety and serviceability of the *** to the observations,the modeled tunnels are vulnerable to reverse fault rupture and but the functionality loss is not abrupt,and the tunnel will be able to tolerate some fault *** monitoring the progress of damage states by increasing PGD,the fragility curves corresponding to each damage state were plotted and interpreted in related figures.
