Deep Learning-based Environmental Sound Classification Using Feature Fusion and Data Enhancement

Environmental sound classification(ESC)involves the process of distinguishing an audio stream associated with numerous environmental *** common aspects such as the framework difference,overlapping of different sound events,and the presence of various sound sources during recording make the ESC task much more complicated and *** research is to propose a deep learning model to improve the recognition rate of environmental sounds and reduce the model training time under limited computation *** this research,the performance of transformer and convolutional neural networks(CNN)are *** audio features,chromagram,mel-spectrogram,tonnetz,mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficients(mFCCs),delta mFCCs,delta-delta mFCCs and spectral contrast,are extracted fromtheUrbanSound8K,ESC-50,and ESC-10,***,this research also employed three data enhancement methods,namely,white noise,pitch tuning,and time stretch to reduce the risk of overfitting issue due to the limited audio *** evaluation of various experiments demonstrates that the best performance was achieved by the proposed transformer model using seven audio features on enhanced *** UrbanSound8K,ESC-50,and ESC-10,the highest attained accuracies are 0.98,0.94,and 0.97 *** experimental results reveal that the proposed technique can achieve the best performance for ESC problems.

The recent advancements in vision technology have had a significant impact on our ability to identify multiple objects and understand complex *** technologies,such as augmented reality-driven scene integration,robotic navigation,autonomous driving,and guided tour systems,heavily rely on this type of scene *** paper presents a novel segmentation approach based on the UNet network model,aimed at recognizing multiple objects within an *** methodology begins with the acquisition and preprocessing of the image,followed by segmentation using the fine-tuned UNet ***,we use an annotation tool to accurately label the segmented *** labeling,significant features are extracted from these segmented objects,encompassing KAZE(Accelerated Segmentation and Extraction)features,energy-based edge detection,frequency-based,and blob *** the classification stage,a convolution neural network(CNN)is *** comprehensive methodology demonstrates a robust framework for achieving accurate and efficient recognition of multiple objects in *** experimental results,which include complex object datasets like mSRC-v2 and PASCAL-VOC12,have been *** analyzing the experimental results,it was found that the PASCAL-VOC12 dataset achieved an accuracy rate of 95%,while the mSRC-v2 dataset achieved an accuracy of 89%.The evaluation performed on these diverse datasets highlights a notably impressive level of performance.

Objective:To explore the impact of fucoxanthin on oxidized low-density lipoprotein(OxLDL)-induced stress and inflammation in human endothelial cells and its underlying ***:HUVECs were treated with OxLDL and/or fucoxanthin for a range of time points and *** evaluated the effects of fucoxanthin on OxLDL-induced HUVECs using the mTT assay,reactive oxygen species accumulation assay,ELISA,RT-PCR,immunofluorescence,and Western ***:Fucoxanthin enhanced the cell viability in a dose dependent manner after OxLDL ***,fucoxanthin pretreatment significantly decreased OxLDL-induced reactive oxygen species production and prevented the activation of the nuclear factor kappa-B pathway,which led to substantial suppression of pro-inflammatory gene ***-induced upregulation of interleukin-6,intercellular adhesion molecule-1,vascular cell adhesion molecule-1,interleukin-1β,monocyte chemotactic protein-1,cyclooxygenase-1,and tumor necrosis factor-αwas significantly reduced by ***:Fucoxanthin can inhibit OxLDL-induced vascular inflammation and oxidative stress in HUVECs by targeting Nrf2 signaling pathways.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the efficacy of Fig fruit powder and olive on hepatic,renal and splenic injury induced by 2-nitropropane(2-NP)in mice,especially if they were used in ***:A total of 40 adult BALB/c male mice weighting 25-30 g/*** were categorized into five groups(8 each).Group 1 as negative *** 2 as positive control group intraperitoneally injected with 2-NP(100 mg/kg b.w.)3 times/weekly for eight *** 3 injected with 2-NP and were orally supplemented with Fig(300 mg/kg).Group 4 injected with 2-NP and were orally supplemented with olive(100 mg/kg).Group 5 injected with 2-NP and were orally supplemented with mixture of Fig and olive(3∶1 respectively).RESULTS:Histopathological observation of liver in mice treated with 2-NP showed cellular degeneration,pyknosis,and congestion of the portal *** kidney there were disorganization of the cortical tissues,cellular necrosis and plenty of inflammatory lymphocytic *** elevations in liver function parameters(alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase),m RNA expression levels of tumor necrosis factor-α,nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate oxidase and cyclooxygenase were detected as anti-inflammatory markers and 5-lipoxygenase,interleukin-1βand interleukin-6 as inflammatory biomarkers for liver and spleen,also significant elevations was detected in lipid peroxidation *** levels of antioxidants,glutathione,glutathione peroxidase,catalase and superoxide dismutase were significantly ***:our findings indicated that Fig fruit powder and olive protected against hepatic,renal and splenic injury induced with 2-NP in mice,especially if they were used in combination.

BACKGROUND Clavicle fractures can rarely be associated with brachial plexus *** are commonly caused by tractional injury at the time of trauma,but unfrequently can be caused by compression of the brachial plexus from excessive callus or granulation tissue *** SUmmARY We report a rare case of an adult male who sustained a mid-shaft clavicle fracture and had a late presentation of brachial plexus palsy due to compression from excessive callus *** We reported a case of a rare occurrence of delayed brachial plexus palsy due to compression from excessive callus formation in a midshaft clavicle *** diagnosis and surgical decompression of the brachial plexus is critical,as when managed efficiently,a full recovery of the brachial plexus palsy can be expected in these patients.

Choroidal thickness measurements in young Saudi adult population: a cross-sectional study

AIm:To determine the choroidal thickness(CT)in young healthy Saudi adults using spectral-domain optical coherence tomography(SD-OCT)with an automated CT segmentation ***:Fifty-eight young adults(total of 116 eyes),39 males and 19 females participated in this study between the ages of 18 and 38y(mean 22.65±3.9y).All participants underwent ophthalmic screening examination,including the SD-OCT for measurements of CT in each quadrant egmented into five eccentric regions starting from the foveal region up to 4.5 mm towards the ***:The choroid was thickest in the foveal region(central 1 mm,300±60μm)and began to progressively thinner beyond the parafovea(1.5–2.5 mm,284±67μm)towards the peripheral region(3.5–4.5 mm from the fovea,254±83μm).The superior choroid showed the thickest profile(309±57μm),while the nasal choroid exhibited the thinnest(229±76μm).The rate of the thinning with increasing eccentricity was more predominant in the nasal choroid,which thinned from the foveal region(294±58μm)to the peripheral region(158±55μm).The superior and inferior choroid did not show a statistically significant thinning with eccentricity(all P>0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the CT between gender,age,and laterality of the eyes(all P>0.05).A significant association of myopia with thinner subfoveal choroid was observed(Pearson’s,r=0.37),and regression analysis showed that a 10.3μm choroidal thinning for each diopter increase of ***:CT profile depends on eccentric and the *** CT profile across the measured area in the young Saudi adult population is comparable to other previous *** error is critical for CT evaluation.

Design and Simulation of the Solar Tracking System

Scientists generally accept that for mankind the solar energy is the fittest, the safest, the most green and the most ideal replaceable energy in future .The current solar energy converting rate roughly is 10%～20%.Analysis indicated that adopting the solar tracker can increase 37% the rate of receiving energy .Research and development of the two axes solar tracker can increase the reception efficiency and open widely the exploitation realm of the solar energy.The studying content in this paper is the design of the solar tracking system and its electric control *** system can realize tracking to the solar azimuth and altitude angle in real *** devised the position of the sun in celestial bodies, corresponding to design the two-dimensional position of the sun tracking devices and propose the real-time tracking control program by the use of PC/104. The system adopted active tracking, namely calculate the input angle of the tracking device in advance by use of the clock module which is in the control system, the angle is correspondent to the sun position some *** encoders react the sunlight that putting on different position of the platform, feedback electrical *** PC/104 applies the subprogram and sends out pulse to DC torque motors according to the signal, which can control the rotate angle and direction of the DC torque *** mechanism has realized the automatic track to the sun, so that the tracker's top flat board can be always vertical to the sunlight and arrive the furthest receiving *** hardware select PC/104, it is used as control core to control the DC torque motor. We have finished the design of the peripheral hardware circuit of single-chip. This driver adopted the special composite module related to the DC torque motor. It has the character of strong anti-jamming, good performance of high frequency, simple construction and running steadily etc.

Global properties of a cell mediated immunity in HIV infection model with two classes of target cells and distributed delays

In this paper, we study the global properties of a human immunodeficiency virus （HIV） infection model with cytotoxic T lymphocytes （CTL） immune response. The model is a six-dimensional that describes the interaction of the HIV with two classes of target cells, CD4＋ T cells and macrophages. The infection rate is given by saturation functional response. Two types of distributed time delays are incorporated into the model to describe the time needed for infection of target cell and virus replication. Using the method of Lyapunov functional, we have established that the global stability of the model is determined by two threshold numbers, the basic infection reproduction number R0 and the immune response activation number R0. We have proven that if R0 ≤ 1, then the uninfected steady state is globally asymptotically stable （GAS）, if R0≤ 1 〈 R0, then the infected steady state without CTL immune response is GAS, and if R0〉 1, then the infected steady state with CTL immune response is GAS.
