The historical changes in rice yields across China were explored. The physiological mechanisms and genetic basis of the erect and large panicle super-high-yield plant type model for breeding japonica super rice were analyzed mainly on the panicle type, number of large vascular bundles （LVB） in the panicle neck, and the panicle type index （PTI）. In the production point of view, we suggested that, for the breeding of super-high-yield japonica rice, the erect panicle types with more LVB numbers in the panicle neck and superior upper grains in the secondary branches would be the key factors. The information has potential significance in the rice breeding and productivity not only in China but also throughout the rice production areas of the world.

The definition and classification of field evapotranspiration was discussed, based on which the calculation model for field evapotranspiration was established. Based on crop, soil measurements and mean climatic data in 1950-1980, mean field water surplus or deficit on climatic, crop and cropland basis in dryland of northern China was calculated, and the pattern of field water surplus or deficit was analyzed and discussed in this paper.

Electron-cyclotron resonant heating(ECRH)of Tokamak plasma is *** plasmais heated by waves,we must consider the distribution of incident wave energy to O and X modes as the wave isincident from vacuum to the surface of plasma as well as the absorption efficiency of O mode and X *** calculation shows that for small incident angle,the incident energy transfers principally into 0mode when the electric field E of incident wave is parallel to the incident plane,therefore it is efficient to heatthe plasma by O *** E is perpendicular to the incident plane,the energy transfers principally into Xmode and heating the plasma by X mode is ***-cyclotron resonant heating(ICRH)is also considered,the formula of the energy of ion-cyclotronwave absorbed by plasma is obtained.

An algorithm is presented for controlling two-dimensional motion contact bodies with conforming discretization. Since a kind of special boundary element is utilized in the algorithm, the displacement compatibility and traction equilibrium conditions at nodes can be satisfied simultaneously in arbitrary locations of the contact interface. In addition, a method is also proposed in which the contact boundary location can be moved flexibly on the possible contact boundary. This method is effective to deal with moving and rolling contact problems on a possible larger moving or rolling contact region. Numerical examples show effectiveness of the presented scheme.

Based on irreversible thermodynamics, the criterion for judging the satisfaction of consistency conditions in rate-dependent constitutive relationship is deduced by introducing four basic hypotheses. Formulas for solving internal variables are given. It makes the rate-dependent model applicable no matter whether the consistency conditions can be satisfied or not.
