Freshwater biota are more comprehensive and direct indicators of biological impacts,and more meaningful to the public than water quality or physical habitat *** biotic data and the multiple biological indicators developed from them offer a much richer array of data for assessing the impacts of pollution controls than a limited set of physical or chemical *** recent decades,assemblage-based assessments by ecologists,environmental scientists,and water quality agencies have been employed globally for determining the condition of,and threats to,freshwater ecosystems.A key step in this advance has been the development of multimetric indices(MMIs)or indices of biotic integrity(IBIs)based on quantitative assessments of algae,macrophyte,macroinvertebrate,fish or riparian bird *** Europe,where biological assemblages are mandated for assessing freshwater ecosystem health,many indices are ***,the proliferation of MMIs globally has not always occurred through the application of rigorous study designs and monitoring protocols,nor have they always effectively incorporated functional metrics,stressor assessments,and statistical ***,in this review,we discuss eleven major concerns with the development and application(including logistical limitations)of multimetric indicators based on freshwater biota to encourage more rigorous and widely applicable(transferable)MMI use and ***,our concerns focus on reference conditions;sampling effort,methods,and season;trophic guild definition;metric comprehensiveness,options,screening and scoring;and MMI *** could also benefit from increased attention to ecological mechanisms and metric development,to further improve our understanding of anthropogenic impacts as well as rehabilitation effects on freshwater ecosystems *** closer attention to study designs,ecological mechanisms and metric development should further improve our understa

Background： Depression is often comorbid with chronic somatic diseases. Few previous studies have investigated the prevalence of somatic diseases in depression or the prescription pattern of antidepressants in comorbidly depressed patients in Asia. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of somatic comorbidity （Sc） in depression and compared the prescriptions of antidepressants in depressed patients with and without Sc. Methods： A total of 2320 patients treated with antidepressants in 8 Asian countries were examined, and a diagnosis was based on the International classification of Disease, 10^th revision. We listed 17 common chronic somatic diseases. Patients＇ socio-demographic and clinical characteristics and psychotropic drug prescriptions were recorded using a standardized protocol and data collection procedure. Results： Of the patients examined, 1240 were diagnosed with depression and 30% of them （n = 375） had Sc. The most common comorbid condition was diabetes （23.7%）. The patients with Sc were more likely to seek help at a general hospital （74.7% vs. 47.2%）, and had a higher incidence of symptoms involving sadness, disturbed sleep, and poor appetite. Noradrenergic and specific serotonergic antidepressant was prescribed more for patients with Sc than for those without Sc （30.4% vs, 22.9%）. conclusions： Sc is common in depressed Asian patients. It is important to strengthen the recognition of depression, especially in general hospitals and when patients report some somatic discomfort. It is also a matter of urgency to establish evidence-based guidelines for the use of new antidepressants in depressed patients with Sc.

We present an uncertainty analysis of ecological process parameters and cO2 flux components (Reco, NEE and gross ecosystem exchange (GEE)) derived from 3 years’ continuous eddy covariance meas-urements of cO2 fluxes at subtropical evergreen coniferous plantation, Qianyanzhou of chinaFlux. Daily-differencing approach was used to analyze the random error of cO2 fluxes measurements and bootstrapping method was used to quantify the uncertainties of three cO2 flux components. In addition, we evaluated different models and optimization methods in influencing estimation of key parameters and cO2 flux components. The results show that: (1) Random flux error more closely follows a dou-ble-exponential (Laplace), rather than a normal (Gaussian) distribution. (2) Different optimization meth-ods result in different estimates of model parameters. Uncertainties of parameters estimated by the maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) are lower than those derived from ordinary least square method (OLS). (3) The differences between simulated Reco, NEE and GEE derived from MLE and those derived from OLS are 12.18% (176 g c·m-2·a-1), 34.33% (79 g c·m-2·a-1) and 5.4% (92 g c·m-2·a-1). However, for a given parameter optimization method, a temperature-dependent model (T_model) and the models derived from a temperature and water-dependent model (TW_model) are 1.31% (17.8 g c·m-2·a-1), 2.1% (5.7 g c·m-2·a-1), and 0.26% (4.3 g c·m-2·a-1), respectively, which suggested that the optimization methods are more important than the ecological models in influencing uncertainty in estimated carbon fluxes. (4) The relative uncertainty of cO2 flux derived from OLS is higher than that from MLE, and the uncertainty is related to timescale, that is, the larger the timescale, the smaller the uncertainty. The relative uncertainties of Reco, NEE and GEE are 4%-8%, 7%-22% and 2%-4% respectively at annual timescale.

Background Anxiety disorder, one of the highly disabling, prevalent and common mental disorders, is known to be more prevalent in persons with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) than the general population, and the comorbid presence of anxiety disorders is known to have an impact on the diabetes outcome and the quality of life. However, the information on the type of anxiety disorder and its prevalence in persons with T2DM is limited. Aims To assess the prevalence and correlates of anxiety disorder in people with type 2 diabetes in different countries. Methods People aged 18-65 years with diabetes and treated in outpatient settings were recruited in 15 countries and underwent a psychiatric interview with the Mini-International Neuropsychiatric Interview. Demographic and medical record data were collected. Results A total of 3170 people with type 2 diabetes (56.2% women;with mean (SD) duration of diabetes 10.01 (7.0) years) participated. The overall prevalence of anxiety disorders in type 2 diabetic persons was 18%;however, 2.8% of the study population had more than one type of anxiety disorder. The most prevalent anxiety disorders were generalised anxiety disorder (8.1%) and panic disorder (5.1%). Female gender, presence of diabetic complications, longer duration of diabetes and poorer glycaemic control (HbA1c levels) were significantly associated with comorbid anxiety disorder. A higher prevalence of anxiety disorders was observed in Ukraine, Saudi Arabia and Argentina with a lower prevalence in Bangladesh and India. conclusions Our international study shows that people with type 2 diabetes have a high prevalence of anxiety disorders, especially women, those with diabetic complications, those with a longer duration of diabetes and poorer glycaemic control. Early identification and appropriate timely care of psychiatric problems of people with type 2 diabetes is warranted.

Strigolactones are plant hormones with multiple functions, including regulating various aspects of plant architecture such as shoot branching, facilitating the colonization of plant roots by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi, and acting as seed germination stimulants for certain parasitic plants of the family Orobanchaceae. The obligate parasitic species Phelipanche aegyptiaca and Striga hermonthica require strigolactones for germination, while the facultative parasite Triphysaria versicolor does not. It has been hypothesized that P. aegyptiaca and S. hermonthica would have undergone evolutionary loss of strigolactone biosynthesis as a part of their mechanism to enable specific detection of exogenous strigolactones. We analyzed the transcriptomes of P. aegyptiaca, S. hermonthica and T. versicolor and identified genes known to act in strigolactone synthesis (D27, ccD7, ccD8, and MAX1), perception (MAX2 and D14) and transport (PDR12). These genes were then analyzed to assess likelihood of function. Transcripts of all strigolactone-related genes were found in P. aegyptiaca and S. hermonthica, and evidence points to their encoding functional proteins. Gene open reading frames were consistent with homologs from Arabidopsis and other strigolactone-producing plants, and all genes were expressed in parasite tissues. In general, the genes related to strigolactone synthesis and perception appeared to be evolving under codon-based selective constraints in strigolactone-dependent species. Bioassays of S. hermonthica root extracts indicated the presence of strigolactone class stimulants on germination of P. aegyptiaca seeds. Taken together, these results indicate that Phelipanche aegyptiaca and S. hermonthica have retained functional genes involved in strigolactone biosynthesis, suggesting that the parasites use both endogenous and exogenous strigolactones and have mechanisms to differentiate the two.

Lack of investment for magnetic resonance(MR)fusion systems is an obstacle to deliver targeted prostate biopsies within the prostate cancer diagnostic *** developed a coordinate-based method to support cognitive targeted prostate biopsies and then performed an audit on cancer detection and the location of *** each patient,the prostate is considered as two separate hemiprostates,and each hemiprostate is divided into 4×4×4 *** unit is therefore defined by a three-dimensional *** prospectively applied our coordinates approach to target 106 prostatic lesions in 93 *** 45(of 106;42.5%)lesions positive for cancer,27 lesions(60.0%)harbored clinically significant *** density was significantly higher in patients with proven cancer(median:0.264 ng ml^(-2))when compared to the noncancer group(median:0.145 ng ml-2;P=0.003,Wilcoxon ranksum test).Lesions with Prostate Imaging-Reporting and Data System(PIRADS)score of 5 were found to have a cancer incidence of 65.2%,while PI RADS 4 and 3 lesions have a lower risk of cancer detection,as expected,at 37.3%and 31.3%,*** probability of a lesion being cancerous in our series significantly decreases as we go from the“apex-to-base”dimension(odds ratio[OR]:2.62,95%confidence interval[cl]:1.55-4.44,P=0.00034).Our analysis also indicates that the probability of cancer decreases as the prostate volume increases(OR:1.03,95%cl:1.01-1.05,P=0.00327).Based on this feasibility study,the use of coordinates to guide cognitive targeted prostate biopsies warrants future validation study in additional centers.

本文利用涂敷Fe(c8H15O2)3[2-乙基己醇酸铁（Ⅲ）]于Fe,Ti,Pt金属基片上,热氧化分解制成多晶氧化铁电极。对其介电、光电化学行为的测定,表明它们与利用热氧化法以及阳极氧化法所制成的多晶氧化铁电极的性能相似,具有n型半导体的特性。借助于交流阻抗的快速测定,并且选择了一种等效电路,测定了空间电荷区电阻、电容的变化。这种方法可以用来监测光电极的相对光效率。
