Exhaustive mineralization of pentachlorophenolate ion（PCP） in phosphate buffer was carried out using anodic contact glow discharge electrolysis（CGDE）,in which plasma was sustained between the electrolyte and *** CGDE,PCP degraded *** amount of total organic carbon decreased significantly,indicating the eventual conversion of the carbon atoms of benzene nucleus to inorganic ***,chlorine atoms in PCP were liberated as chloride *** a primary intermediate product,2,3,5,6tetrachloro-1,4-benzoquinone was detected,and oxalate and formate as byproducts were also *** was revealed that disappearance of PCP obeyed first-order *** reaction rate was generally unaffected by both O2 and inert gases in the cell,although it decreased by raising initial pH of *** addition,a plausible reaction pathway involving hydroxyl radical was proposed.

We investigated the interfacial effects on magnetic properties in Co2Fe(Al,Si)/Ge (CFAS/Ge) and CFAS/MgO/Ge systems to demonstrate the effects of the interface structure on magnetic properties. CFAS and CFAS/MgO were deposited on the i-Ge(111) substrate. In-situ reflection high energy electron diffraction (RHEED) patterns showed epitaxially grown CFAS and MgO on Ge(111). According to the X-ray diffraction (XRD)φ-scan of CFAS(220), we determined that the crystallographic orientation relationships were CFAS(111)//Ge(111) and CFAS(111)//MgO(111) Ge(111). The magnetic properties were measured by the vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and the saturation magnetization Ms value of CFAS with 2-nm thick MgO reached the value of L21 ordered one. A uniaxial magnetic anisotropy behavior was observed both in CFAS/Ge and CFAS/MgO/Ge structures after annealing. We confirmed the behavior did not only originate from the CFAS/Ge interface but also CFAS/MgO and the ordering structure.

The nucleation and precipitation of Mn-containing dispersoids in an Al-Mg-Si-Mn alloy （6082） have been studied by optical microscopy,EPMA （electron probe microanalysis） and TEM （transmission electron microscopy）.The influence of Mn-containing dispersoids on the recrystallization behavior was also *** size and distribution of dispersoids were strongly affected by both the homogenization process and the alloying element distribution formed in the direct chill cast *** Mn-containing dispersoids were observed to nucleate preferentially on the β-Mg 2 Si phase and to be aligned along the 〈100〉 direction of the *** cold deformation,the morphology of dispersoids greatly influences the recrystallization and grain growth behavior in the annealing process.

Multi-stage ignition and/or double NTC(negative temperature coefficient)behavior resulted from the low-temperature oxidation of ether compounds are still not clearly *** have investigated the oxidation mechanism of a stoichiometric DEE(diethyl ether)/air mixture by using a micro flow reactor with a controlled temperature profile to see the detail of low-temperature weak flame *** simulation was also performed to understand the chemical kinetics mechanism of observed weak flame *** measurement showed separated weak flame in the temperature range of 600 K-800 *** simulation also qualitatively reproduced this separated weak flame,and showed four peak of heat *** the reaction flow analysis,it was found that(1)O-O bond scission reaction of keto-hydroperoxide produced by DEE,(2)O-O bond scission reaction of CH3O2H,CH3CO3H,and C2H5O2H,(3)O-O bond scission reaction of H2O2,and(4)H+O2=O+OH are key chain branching reactions to explain the multi-stage oxidation.

The whisker/matrix interfaces in squeeze cast SiC w/AZ91 composites with different binders (silica binder, acid aluminum phosphate binder and without binder), were studied by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and high resolution electron microscopy (HREM). The SiC w/AZ91 interface is very clean in the composites with no binders. For the composites with acid aluminum phosphate binders or silica binders, there exists fine discrete interfacial reaction products MgO at the interface, and a definite orientation relationship between MgO and SiC w. The interfacial reaction products MgO is unevenly distributed at different parts of the composite ingot with silica binder, and mainly distributed to the interface at the side part of the composite cylinder. While in the SiC w/AZ91 composite with acid aluminum phosphate binder, MgO particles are distributed evenly at the interface in almost all the parts of the composite ingot. [

Objective:To examine the potent of water as a solvent agent in the preparation of traditional herbal ***:Water extracts of 18 plants were prepared through reflux and examined(25μg/mL) to evaluate their possibility for inhibiting protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B(PTP1B).The determination of IC50 values was performed for the samples possessing more than 80%***,those exhibiting IC50 values more than 7.0 μg/mL were further profiled for their chemical constituents through nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) ***:About 44%(8) of the examined samples showed more than 80%inhibition against PTP1 *** water extracts of Elephantopus scaber,Helicteres isora aerial parts,Elaeocarpus grandiflorus(***) fruits,Melaleuca leucadendron leaves,and Quercus infectoria gum had IC50 values ranging from 2.05 to 6.90 μg/***,Andropogon nardus and Centella asiatica were at the area of δ 3.0-4.0 ***,the13 C NMR observation of samples possessing the most intensive signals in their proton NMR Cinnamomum burmannii and *** showed the peaks at the area of δ 60-90 ppm as the supportive evidence for sugar group ***,a disaccharide from *** could be an active inhibitor towards PTB1 ***:In contrast to the mainstream solvents currently used in modern herbal manufactures especially Jamu medicine in Indonesia,pure-water-extracted materials should be reconsidered and could be reemerged for future studies and for the manufacture of herbal *** addition,the activity of Jamu components should be confirmed that their antidiabetes and antiobesity activities could be through the inhibition of PTP1 B.

Pancreatic schwannoma:Case report and an updated 30-year review of the literature yielding 47 cases

Pancreatic schwannomas are rare neoplasms. Authors briefly describe a 64-year-old female patient with cystic pancreatic schwannoma mimicking other cystic tumors and review the literature. Databases for PubMed were searched for English-language articles from 1980 to 2010 using a list of keywords, as well as references from review articles. Only 41 articles, including 47 cases, have been reported in the English literature. The mean age was 55.7 years （range 20-87 years）, with 45% of patients being male. Mean tumor size was 6.2 cm （range 1-20 cm）. Tumor location was the head （40%）, head and body （6%）, body （21%）, body and tail （15%）, tail （4%）, and uncinate process （13%）. Thirty-four percent of patients exhibited solid tumors and 60% of patients exhibited cystic tumors. Treatment included pancreati- coduodenectomy （32%）, distal pancreatectomy （21%）, enucleation （15%）, unresectable （4%）, refused opera- tion （2%） and the detail of resection was not specified in 26% of patients. No patients died of disease with a mean follow-up of 15.7 mo （range 3-65 too）, although 5 （11%） patients had a malignancy. The tumor size was significantly related to malignant tumor （13.8 ＋ 6.2 cm for malignancy vs 5.5 ＋ 4.4 cm for benign, P = 0.001） and cystic formation （7.9 ~ 5.9 cm for cystic tumor vs 3.9 ＋ 2.4 cm for solid tumor, P = 0.005）. The preoperative diagnosis of pancreatic schwannoma remains difficult. Cystic pancreatic schwannomas should be considered in the differential diagnosis of cystic neoplasms and pseudocysts. In our caset intraoperative frozen sec- tion confirmed the diagnosis of a schwannoma. Simple enudeation may be adequate, if this is possible.
