Structural analysis on cutting notch of tea stalk by X-ray micro-computed tomography

Quantitative analysis on cutting notch of tea stalk is one method to better understand shear resistance and mechanical properties of the stalk,which could improve cutting performance and efficiency for tea *** design of the cutter might be achieved through structural analysis of cutting notch by X-ray micro-computed tomography(micro-CT).The third inter-node of the stalks were sampled and scanned by micro-CT after they were cut at different cutting depths(0.7,1.5,2.3 mm)and cutting edge angles of cutter(30,35,40).The structural change of the cutting notch and cutting force was ***-scale histogram analysis and bimodal segmentation method were used to extract the information about cutting notch from 2D slice images.A 3D model of the stalk was established with reconstruction and volume ***,maximum crosssectional area ratio of cutting notch(MCSARCN)and volume ratio of cutting notch(VRCN)were *** results show that MCSARCN and VRCN had a closely relationship with the cutting force,cutting depth and cutting edge angle according to 3D tomographic images and 2D slice *** MCSARCN and VRCN increased with cutting depth,despite of cutting edge *** cutting edge angle of 30,35and 40at different cutting depths,MCSARCN increased from 4.89%to 9.47%,from 8.51%to 22.83%and from 4.30%to 16.87%,***,VRCN increased from 1.59%to 2.13%,from 2.98%to 5.76%and from 3.04%to 5.01%,*** cutting depth was 1.5 mm,cutting force increased but VRCN present a decreased trend with cutting edge angle.X-ray micro-CT could be used to analyze the structure on cutting notch of tea stalks which is helpful in optimizing the structural parameters of the cutter.

Confronted with severe frost damage to plants,methods,technologies and equipment have been developed and applied during the past *** paper presents a comprehensive review on the most effective and active technology to protect plants from radiation frost based on air disturbance *** working principle of the technology was elaborated with frost protection mechanism,structures and applicability of three types of working patterns:conventional wind machines,selective inverted sink and portable vertical *** an automatic mechanized technology,control strategy,applicable occasion and proper parameters are introduced for each type of working *** operation of the technology and equipment depends on plant critical temperature,prevailing climatic conditions,thermal inversions strength,as well as *** frost protection performance and effectiveness of conventional horizontal wind machines,selective inverted sinks and helicopters are discussed and compared from the cost-effectiveness and application aspects,and the feasibility of selective inverted sinks is still ***,conventional wind machines are the best choice for plant frost protection and consequently are widely used in temperate and subtropical areas throughout the *** frost protection application with helicopters is not easy to use during the frost nights with high *** paper also provides researchers with some perspectives on improving air disturbance technology and its equipment,and some practice recommendations for growers.

Software-defined networking(SDN)makes network agile and flexible due to its programmable *** extensive network has multiple domains in SDN for the scalability and performance of the ***,the inter-domain link is also crucial for the stability of the entire network on the data plane *** than one inter-domain connection enhances the scalability of the data plane ***,it faces a reachability problem with the principal root,which causes forwarding loops and packet drops in the network,thereby degrading network *** proposed solution is a multiple controller architecture;however,this approach increases the complexity and affects network ***,in this study,we propose a framework that avoids forwarding loops and packet drops without the synchronization of multiple-domain controllers in the network using an avoid loop with test packet ***,we collect the link status for improved routing and load balancing for the upcoming flow across inter-domain links to prevent congestion and increase throughput in real *** proposed methodology can significantly reduce the controller workload against multiple controller architecture,minimize flow setup latency,and improve throughput.

Question and answer websites such as Quora,Stack Overflow,Yahoo Answers and Answer Bag are used by *** users post questions on these websites to get the answers from domain specific *** websites are multilingual meaning they are available in many different *** problem for these types of websites is to handle meaningless and irrelevant *** this paper we have worked on the Quora insincere questions(questions which are based on false assumptions or questions which are trying to make a statement rather than seeking for helpful answers)dataset in order to identify user insincere questions,so that Quora can eliminate those questions from their platform and ultimately improve the communication among users over the ***,a research was carried out with recurrent neural network and pretrained glove word embeddings,that achieved the F1 score of *** proposed study has used a pre-trained ULMFiT *** model has outperformed the previous model with an F1 score of 0.91,which is much higher than the previous studies.

Exploitation of Concatenated Olive Plastome DNA Markers for Reliable Varietal Identification for On-Farm Genetic Resource Conservation

Rapid and reliable identification of olive plants using DNA markers has been attempted in the past but the selection of polymorphic regions for discrimination at varietal level remained obscure. Recent sequencing of plastid genome of the olive flaunts high resolution Cp markers for olive DNA fingerprinting. Using this information, we designed a combination of chloroplast markers to amplify genes recruited in photosynthesis, ribosomal and NADH energy metabolism for varietal identification of olive plants. Concatenated DNA sequences of more than 100 unknown and 10 reference plants samples were analyzed using various bioinformatics and phylogenetic tools. Conserved blocks of nucleotide sequences were detected in multiple alignments. Phylogenetic reconstruction differentiated the unknown plants into various clusters with known varieties. Further narrowing down of the samples through UPGMA tree clearly separated the plants into Arbosana, Frantoio and Koroneiki as the major varieties. Multiple alignments of these clusters revealed important variety specific SNPs including G and T nucleotides at specific positions. Sequence identifying at intra cultivar level was more than 98.79% while it dropped to 97%, and even to 96% at inter varietal level. Furthermore, a neighbor net network analysis separated these three clusters, thus validating the results of UPGMA tree. Over all, out of 100 plants samples, 49 plants were identified that fall into 10 varieties including Arbosana, Carolea, Chetoui, Coratina, Domat, Frantoio, Gemlik, Koroneiki,Leccino and Moraiolo. The maximum number of known plants belongs to Frantoio and Gemlik (8 each). The least number of samples was identified from Carolea, Domat and Moraiolo with 2 samples each. However, 51 plants could not be identified, as plants were not clustered with any of reference control. Our results have implications in on-farm conservation of olive germplasm and provision of genuine material for multiplication of authentic varieties.
