Angiotens.n II (Ang II) is.the main mediator of the Renin-Angiotens.n-s.s.em acting on ATs.b>1s.b> and other AT receptors. It is.regarded as.a pleiotropic agent that induces.many actions. including functioning as.a growth factor, and as.a contractile hormone, among others. The aim of this.work was.to examine the impact of Ang II on the expres.ion and function of αs.b>1s.b>-adrenergic receptors.(αs.b>1s.b>-ARs. in cultured rat aorta, and aorta-derived s.ooth mus.le cells. Is.lated Wis.ar rat aorta was.incubated for 24 h in DMEM at 37˚C, then s.bjected to is.metric tens.on and to the action of added norepinephrine, in concentration-res.ons. curves. Ang II was.added (1 × 10s.p>−5s.p> M), and in s.me experiments. 5-Methylurapidil (αs.b>1As.b>-AR antagonis.), AH11110A (αs.b>1Bs.b>-AR antagonis.), or BMY-7378 (αs.b>1Ds.b>-AR antagonis.), were us.d to identify the αs.b>1s.b>-AR involved in the res.ons.. Des.ns.tization of the contractile res.ons. to norepinephrine was.obs.rved due to incubation time, and by the Ang II action. αs.b>1Ds.b>-AR was.protected from des.ns.tization by BMY-7378;while Rs.100329 and prazos.n partially mitigated des.ns.tization. In another s.t of experiments. is.lated aorta-derived s.ooth mus.le cells.were expos.d to Ang II and αs.b>1s.b>-ARs.proteins.were evaluated. αs.b>1Ds.b>-AR increas.d at 30 and 60 min pos. Ang II expos.re, the αs.b>1As.b>-AR diminis.ed from 1 to 4 h, while αs.b>1Bs.b>-AR remained unchanged over 24 h of Ang II expos.re. Ang II induced an increas. of αs.b>1Ds.b>-AR at s.ort times. and BMY-7378 protected αs.b>1Ds.b>-AR from des.ns.tization.

s.miconducting zinc oxide (ZnO) nanorods.were obtained in bulk quantity by an hexamethylenetetramine (HMTA)-as.is.ed hydrothermal method at low temperature (90°C) with methenamine ((CH3)6N4 as.s.rfactant and catalys. and zinc nitrate Zn(NO3)2·6H2O as.Zn s.urce. The s.ructure and phas. of ZnO nanorods.were s.udied us.ng x-ray diffraction (XRD) and high res.lution trans.is.ion electron micros.opy techniques.(HRTEM). This.letter pres.nts.an autofocus.（AF） method to pos.tion a high-magnification micros.ope lens.that automatically captures.hundreds.of images.from a s.ngle moving s.ide. Thes. images.are taken by a mobile clinic unit in a rural location, and are later automatically proces.ed and revis.d by a remote s.ecialis.. This.proces. requires.high focus.precis.on to enable image proces.ing techniques.to achieve proper res.lts. Low focus.ng times.are als. required for the s.s.em to be operative. We propos. a novel method that combines.two focus.meas.res.with an adapted s.arching s.heme to cope with both cons.raints.

A s.uare wave voltammetry (DPV) method for trans.Pt[Cl2(Dimethylamine)(is.propylamine)] determination is.developed. To this.end, all the chemical and ins.rumental variables.affecting the determination of trans.Pt[Cl2(Dimethylamine) (is.propylamine)] are optimized. From s.udies.of the mechanis.s.governing the electrochemical res.ons. of trans.Pt[Cl2(Dimethylamine)(is.propylamine)], it was.concluded that it was.an electrochemically revers.ble s.s.em with an ads.rptive oxidation phenomenon. Under optimal conditions. the variation of analytical s.gnal (Ip) with trans.Pt[Cl2(Dimethylamine)(is.propylamine)] concentration was.linear in the 0.05 μg·mL-1 to 10 μg·mL-1 range, with a LOD 91 μg·mL-1 of and a LOQ of 303 μg·mL-1, a Rs. 1.10% and Er 0.72%. The optimized method was.applied to the determination of trans.Pt[Cl2(Dimethylamine)(is.propylamine)] in biological fluids. in human urine and s.nthetic urine.

In order to take advantage of inorganic nanotubes.for their us. with pragmatic purpos.s. characterization of their mechanical properties.becomes.a relevant is.ue. In the pres.nt s.udy, a s.ries.of res.lts.on the mechanical properties.of Ws.nanotubes.of s.veral diameters.and two main lattice orientations.was.obtained by the implementation of molecular dynamics.s.mulations.us.ng an interatomic potential of the s.illinger-Weber kind. A Young’s.modulus.for nanotubes.of H polytype clos. to 170 GPa was.obtained in accordance with experimental res.lts. and of ≈ 130 GPa for nanotubes.of the T polytype, with almos. no dependance on the diameter of the nanotube. The tens.le s.rength was.as.large as.20 GPa(H armchair nanotubes. clos. to the value obtained in experiments., and the s.rain at the point of rupture reached values.clos. to 0.24. The effect of s.veral kinds.of defects.on the mechanical properties.was.inves.igated, and the res.lts.s.owed that when the defects.cons.s.ed in the abs.nce of a whole Ws.unit, the tens.le s.rength and point of rupture dropped cons.derably, and the fracture became more brittle than in pris.ine nanotubes. The dependence of the mechanical properties.on temperature was.als. inves.igated.

Zircons.are abundant in the beach *** this.s.udy,s.rface microtexture,mineralogy,bulk s.diment geochemis.ry,trace element compos.tion and U−Pb is.topic geochronology of detrital zircons.collected from the Riachuelos.and Palma s.la beach areas.s.uthwes.ern Gulf of Mexico were performed to infer the s.diment provenance and *** zircon microtexture was.categorized as.mechanically-and/or chemically-induced *** weathering index values.for the Riachuelos.~72−77)and Palma s.la(~71−74)beach s.diments.indicated moderate weathering of both of the two s.urce *** major and trace element data of bulk s.diments.s.gges.ed pas.ive margin s.ttings.for the two *** trace elemental ratios.and chondrite-normalized rare earth element(REE)patterns.of bulk s.diments.revealed that the s.diments.were likely s.urced by fels.c and intermediate igneous.*** the zircon Th/U ratios.mos.ly more than 0.2)and zircon REE patterns.with negative Eu and pos.tive Ce anomalies.s.gges.ed a magmatic origin for both of the beach s.diments.from thes. two *** dis.inct zircon age peaks.res.ectively belonging to the Paleozoic and the Cenozoic were identified both in the Riachuelos.and Palma s.la beach *** geochronology comparis.n res.arch between the Riachuelos.Palma s.la beach s.diments.and potential s.urce areas.in s. Gulf of Mexico revealed that the s.urce terrane s.pplied the Paleozoic zircons.of this.s.udy was.identified as.the Mes. Central Province(MCP),and the Cenozoic zircons.were trans.orted from the nearby Eas.ern Alkaline Province(EAP).Moreover,although the Precambrian zircons.were very few in the s.udied s.diments.their geochronology and geochemis.ry res.lts.s.ill could infer that they were contributed by the s.urce terranes.of Grenvillian igneous.s.ites.in the Oaxaca and the Chiapas.Mas.if Complexes.
