The augmented Lagrangian penalty formulation and four different coordination strategies are used to examine the nu- merical behavior of Analytical Target Cascading (ATC) for multilevel optimization of hierarchical systems. The coordination strategies considered include augmented Lagrangian using the method of multipliers and alternating direction method of multipliers, diagonal quadratic approximation, and truncated diagonal quadratic approximation. Properties examined include computational cost and solution accuracy based on the selected values for the different parameters that appear in each formulation. The different strategies are implemented using two- and three-level decomposed example problems. While the results show the interaction between the selected ATC formulation and the values of associated parameters, they clearly highlight the impact they could have on both the solution accuracy and computational cost.

Background: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a disease with wide variability in clinical presentation. Bladder dysfunctions are very common in MS patients. Early detection of bladder abnormalities is important to improve the outcome in MS patients. Objectives: The aim of this study is to evaluate the urodynamic detected bladder dysfunctions in relapsing remitting MS patients with mild or without lower urinary tract symptoms. Methods: This is a prospective study for 32 patients with relapsing remitting Multiple Sclerosis from January 2017 to June 2018. We included patients with mild or without lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) who had mild to moderate disability. Urodynamic studies were performed for all patients. Results: Urodynamic abnormalities were detected in 22 patients (68.75%). Detrusor overactivity (DO) was present alone in 8 patients (25%);DO combined with detrusor external sphincter dyssynergia in 8 patients (25%);DO with low compliant bladder and impaired contractility in another 4 patients (13%) while DO with low complaint bladder in 2 patients (6%). Bladder dysfunction was correlated to high disability score;longer duration of illness;frequent relapses and the presence of LUTS. Conclusion: Urodynamic abnormalities were found in 68.75% of our patients. This highlights the importance of urodynamic studies in the early evaluation of relapsing remitting Multiple Sclerosis.

This study is aimed to assess and evaluate the suitability of groundwater of the area located to the south-east of Al-Ain area in the UAE using hydrogeochemcical approach. The chemical analyses of groundwater samples collected from the study area showed that the groundwater salinity is high which resulted from heavy groundwater pumping. High chloride concentrations in groundwater of Mubazarah and Neima might be attributed to the entrapped saline water within the limestone sequence of Jabal Hafit, or it can be the agricultural activities as it clear from the positive relationship between Cl- and Br-. High sulphate concentrations in groundwater might be related to the presence of gypsum and anhydrite within the limestone sequence of Jabal Hafit. The anionic and cationic compositions of groundwater indicate that the chloride and sodium ions are the dominant and presence of bicarbonate and sulphate may reflect the mixing of such water by the recent freshwater through the existing structural lineaments within the study area. The hydrochemical parameters indicate a relative increase in the concentration of calcium, magnesium and sulphate ions and this could reflect the influence of carbonates and evaporite sediments.

Aim:The aim of this study is to prove or disprove the superiority of surgical resections over radiofrequency ablation(RFA)with respect to efficacy and ***:The study was conducted in Zagazig University Hospitals,which included 40 patients with hepatocellular carcino.a(HCC)during the period from November 2011 to December 2014,using either liver resection or ***:Hepatic resection was done in 20 patients(13 males,7 females).Interventional RFA was done in 20 patients(12 males,8 females).There was no in-hospital mortality after ***-and two-year survival rates were 85% and 70% *** was no in-hospital mortality after ***-and two-year survival rates were 80% and 65% ***:Surgical resection is preferred over RFA in HCC-liver cirrhosis Child A patients with tumor sizes≥3 ***-liver cirrhosis Child A patients with masses<3 cm have almost the same results with both surgery and *** in special cases such as central position lesions,RFA is preferred over *** the decision for management may be changed according to patients *** resection 1-and 2-year survival rates were better than those treated with RFA.

Higher-Order Statistics for Automatic Weld Defect Detection

Image processing and image analysis are the main aspects for obtaining information from digital image owing to the fact that this techniques give the desired details in most of the applications generally and Non-Destructive testing specifically. This paper presents a proposed method for the automatic detection of weld defects in radiographic images. Firstly, the radiographic images were enhanced using adaptive histogram equalization and are filtered using mean and wiener filters. Secondly, the welding area is selected from the radiography image. Thirdly, the Cepstral features are extracted from the Higher-Order Spectra (Bispectrum and Trispectrum). Finally, neural networks are used for feature matching. The proposed method is tested using 100 radiographic images in the presence of noise and image blurring. Results show that in spite of time consumption, the proposed method yields best results for the automatic detection of weld defects in radiography images when the features were extracted from the Trispectrum of the image.

Insight into average oil pressure in gas reservoirs and changes in production （time）, play a critical role in reservoir and production performance, economic evaluation and reservoir management. In all practicality, average reservoir pressure can be conducted only when producing wells are shut in. This is regarded as a pressure build-up test. During the test, the wellbore pressure is recorded as a function of time. Currently, the only available method with which to obtain average reservoir pressure is to conduct an extended build-up test. It must then be evaluated using Homer or MDH （Miller, Dyes and Huchinson） valuation procedures. During production, average reservoir pressure declines due to fluid withdrawal from the wells and therefore, the average reservoirpressure is updated, periodically. A significant economic loss occurs during the entire pressure build-up test when producing wells are shut in. In this study, a neural network model has been established to map a nonlinear time-varying relationship which controls reservoir production history in order to predict and interpolate average reservoir pressure without closing the producing wells. This technique is suitable for constant and variable flow rates.
