A Study to Observe Pulse Pressure Variation after Induction with Propofol for general Anesthesia

Background and Aims: Pulse pressure variation (PPV) is a reliable and predictive dynamic parameter presently being utilized for fluid responsiveness. In the operating room, fluid administration based on PPV monitoring helps the physician in deciding whether to volume resuscitate or use interventions in patients undergoing surgery. Propofol is an intravenous induction agent which lowers blood pressure. There are multiple causes such as depression in cardiac output, and peripheral vasodilatation for hypotension. We undertook this study to observe the utility of PPV as a guide to fluid therapy after propofol induction. Primary outcome of our study was to monitor PPV as a marker of fluid responsiveness for the hypotension caused by propofol induction. Secondary outcome included the correlation of PPV with other hemodynamic parameters like heart rate (HR), systolic blood pressure (SBP), and diastolic blood pressure (DBP);after induction with propofol at regular interval of time. Methods: A total number of 90 patients were recruited. Either of the radial artery was then cannulated under local anaesthesia with 20g VygonLeadercath arterial cannula and invasive monitoring transduced. A baseline recording of heart rate (HR), systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP) and PPV was then recorded. Patients were then induced with predetermined doses of propofol (2 mg/kg) and recordings of HR, SBP, DBP, and PPV were taken at 5, 10 and 15 minutes. Results: Intraoperatively, PPV was significantly higher at 5 minutes and significantly lower at 15 minutes after induction. It was observed that there were no statistically significant correlations between PPV and SBP or DBP. PPV was strongly and directly associated with HR. Conclusion: We were able to establish that PPV predicts fluid responsiveness in hypotension caused by propofol induction;and can be used to administer fluid therapy in managing such hypotension. The use of different salt mixtures for past?rma had no statistically significant effect on the microbial counts and residual nitrite of the final product. The a* and b* values were affected by this treatment. The salt mixture containing CaCl2or CaCl2+ MgCl2significantly decreased the p H values and sensory scores. The eighteen volatile compounds were affected by the salt mixtures. Na~+, K~+, Ca2+, and Mg2+had a certain increase depending on their ratio in the salt mixtures. The highest Cathepsin activity in all past?rma samples was observed in Cathepsin B + L. The salt mixture with NaCl + KCl + CaCl2+ Mg Cl2increased acid lipase activity. However, this mixture had no significant effect on neutral lipase activity.

Water quality and sediment contamination assessment of Pazarsuyu Stream, Turkey using multivariate statistical methods and pollution indicators

The spatio-temporal variations of surface water quality and the level of metal contamination in the sediment of Pazarsuyu Stream were determined by using multivariate statistical techniques and pollution indicators,*** water and sediment samples were collected monthly from four different stations along the Pazarsuyu Stream between June 2014 and May 2015 and analyzed using standard *** were assessed according to national and international water quality criteria and the water quality parameters in some stations were found to be over these criteria *** present study showed that statistical techniques such as Pearson Correlation Index (PCI),Principal Component Analysis (PCA),Cluster Analysis (CA),One Way ANOVA need to be used to get better information for the studies on the water quality of surface *** identified six factors accounting for 82.88% of the total variation in the *** abundance of sediment heavy metals was in the order of Fe > Mn > Zn > Pb > Cu> Cr > Co > *** heavy metal contamination in the sediments was evaluated by applying the enrichment factor (EF),contamination factor (CF),geoaccumulation index (lgeo) and potential ecological risk index (PERI).Pb was heavily contaminated and has a significant enrichment of contamination according to calculated EF ***,the stream water can be used for irrigation with precaution but extensive treatment required before using for domestic purposes to prevent adverse public health effects.

The fundamental advantages of carbon-based graphene material,such as its high tunnelling probability,symmetric band structure(linear dependence of the energy band on the wave direction),low effective mass,and characteristics of its 2D atomic layers,are the main focus of this research *** impact of channel thickness,gate under-lap,asymmetric source/drain doping method,workfunction of gate contact,and High-K material on graphene-based Tunnel Field Effect Transistor(TFET)is analyzed with 20 nm *** modelling and electrical characteristic performance have been simulated using the Atlas device simulator of SILVACO TCAD with user-defined material syntax for the newly included graphene material in comparison to silicon carbide(SiC).The simulation results in significant suppression of ambipolar current to voltage characteristics of TFET and modelled device exhibits a significant improvement in subthreshold swing(0.0159 V/decade),the ratio of Ion/Ioff(1000),and threshold voltage(-0.2 V with highly doped p-type source and 0.2 V with highly doped n-type drain)with power supply of 0.5 V,which make it useful for low power digital applications.

Controlling Remote Robots Based on Zidan’s Quantum Computing Model

In this paper,we propose a novel algorithm based on Zidan’s quantum computing model for remotely controlling the direction of a quantumcontrolledmobile robot equippedwith *** proposed algorithm is based on the measurement of concurrence value for the different movements of the *** a faraway robot that moves in the deep space(e.g.,moves toward a galaxy),and it is required to control the direction of this robot from a ground station by some person *** sends an unknown qubitα|0)+β|1)via the teleportation protocol to the ***,the proposed algorithm decodes the received unknown qubit into an angleθ,that determines the motion direction of the robot,based on the concurrence *** proposed algorithm has been tested for four and eight *** simulators have been tested;IBM Quantum composer and IBM’s system,The two simulators achieved the same result *** motion of any part of the robot is considered,if it has a pre-existing sensor system and a locomotive system,.We can use this technique in many places like in space robots(16 directions).The results show that the proposed technique can be easily used for a huge number of ***,increasing the number of movements of the robot will increase the number of qubits.

The Spontang Ophiolite complex represents the most complete ophiolite sequence amongst the South Ladakh ophiolites and comprises mantle rocks(depleted harzburgites,dunites and minor lherzolites)as well as crustal rocks(basalt,isotropic gabbros,layered gabbros etc.).In the present study,detailed geochemistry(whole rock as well as mineral chemistry)and Sr-Nd isotopic analyses of thirty-six ultramaficmafic samples have been attempted to constraint the evolution and petrogenetic history of the Tethyan oceanic ***,trace-element and REE patterns of the peridotites and their minerals indicate that the lherzolites experienced lower degrees of partial melting resembling abyssal peridotites(at higher temperatures,TREE=$1216℃)than the harzburgites(6%–8%versus 15%–17%).Elevated eNd(t)and variable^(87) Sr/^(86) Sr(t)ratios along with REE patterns suggest that the Spontang mafic rocks display N-MORB affinity with negligible participation of oceanic sediments in their genesis are originated from a depleted upper mantle with little contribution from subduction-related ***-type Neotethyan oceanic crust is associated with the earliest phase of subduction(of older Jurassic age)through which a younger intra-oceanic island arc(Spong arc)subsequently *** REE display typical U-shaped patterns,suggesting that these rocks have been metasomatized by LREE-enriched *** the other side,mafic rocks are characterized by heterogeneous(Nb/La)PMand(Hf/Sm)PMand relatively homogeneous eNd(t),indicating interaction of subduction-related melts with the upper mantle during the initiation of subduction,in Early Cretaceous times.

Meshless Method for Analysis of Permeable Breakwaters in the Proximity of A Vertical Wall

In the present work, the improved version of the meshless singular boundary method(ISBM) is developed for analyzing the performance of bottom standing submerged permeable breakwaters in regular normally incident waves and in the proximity of a vertical wall. Both single and dual prismatic breakwaters of rectangular and trapezoidal forms are examined. The physical problem is cast in terms of the Laplace equation governing an irrotational flow and incompressible fluid motion with appropriate mixed type boundary conditions, and solved numerically using the ISBM. To model the permeability of the breakwaters fully absorbing boundary conditions are assumed. Numerical results are presented in terms of hydrodynamic quantities of the reflection coefficients. These are firstly validated against the results of a multi-domain boundary element method(BEM) developed independently for a previous study. The agreement between the results of the two methods is excellent. The coefficients of reflection are then computed and discussed for a variety of structural conditions including the breakwaters height, width, spacing, and absorbing permeability. Effects of the proximity of the vertical plane wall are also investigated. The breakwater's width is found to have only marginal effects compared with its height. Permeability tends to decrease the minimum reflections. These coefficients show periodic variations with the spacing relative to the wavelength. Trapezoidal breakwaters are found to be more cost-effective than the rectangular breakwaters. Dual breakwater systems are confirmed to perform much better than single structures.
