Neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy is often associated with permanent cerebral palsy,neurosensory impairments,and cognitive deficits,and there is no effective treatment for complications related to hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy.The therapeutic potential of human placental chorionic plate-derived mesenchymal stem cells for various diseases has been explored.However,the potential use of human placental chorionic plate-derived mesenchymal stem cells for the treatment of neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy has not yet been investigated.In this study,we injected human placental chorionic plate-derived mesenchymal stem cells into the lateral ventricle of a neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy rat model and observed significant improvements in both cognitive and motor function.Protein chip analysis showed that interleukin-3 expression was significantly elevated in neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy model rats.Following transplantation of human placental chorionic plate-derived mesenchymal stem cells,interleukin-3 expression was downregulated.To further investigate the role of interleukin-3 in neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy,we established an in vitro SH-SY5Y cell model of hypoxic-ischemic injury through oxygen-glucose deprivation and silenced interleukin-3 expression using small interfering RNA.We found that the activity and proliferation of SH-SY5Y cells subjected to oxygen-glucose deprivation were further suppressed by interleukin-3 knockdown.Furthermore,interleukin-3 knockout exacerbated neuronal damage and cognitive and motor function impairment in rat models of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy.The findings suggest that transplantation of hpcMSCs ameliorated behavioral impairments in a rat model of hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy,and this effect was mediated by interleukin-3-dependent neurological function.

Macular corneal dystrophy(MCD)is a progressive,bilateral stromal dystrophic disease that arises from mutations in carbohydrate sulfotransferase 6(CHST6).Corneal transplantation is the ultimate therapeutic solution for MCD patients.Unfortunately,postoperative recurrence remains a significant challenge.We conducted a retrospective review of a clinical cohort comprising 102 MCD patients with 124 eyes that underwent either penetrating keratoplasty(PKP)or deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty(DALK).Our results revealed that the recurrence rate was nearly three times higher in the DALK group(39.13%,9/23 eyes)compared with the PKP group(10.89%,11/101 eyes),suggesting that surgical replacement of the corneal endothelium for treating MCD is advisable to prevent postoperative recurrence.Our experimental data confirmed the robust m RNA and protein expression of CHST6 in human corneal endothelium and the rodent homolog CHST5 in mouse endothelium.Selective knockdown of wild-type Chst5 in mouse corneal endothelium(AC^(siChst5)),but not in the corneal stroma,induced experimental MCD with similar extracellular matrix synthesis impairments and corneal thinning as observed in MCD patients.Mice carrying Chst5 point mutation also recapitulated clinical phenotypes of MCD,along with corneal endothelial abnormalities.Intracameral injection of wild-type Chst5 rescued the corneal impairments in AC^(siChst5)mice and retarded the disease progression in Chst5 mutant mice.Overall,our study provides new mechanistic insights and therapeutic approaches for MCD treatment by highlighting the role of corneal endothelium in MCD development.

With the rapid changes in the field of information,the research and development of optical storage materials with high security and large storage capacity are particularly important in the development of contemporary society.However,conventional memo ry materials with static fluorescent outputs have the disadvantages of easy simulation and forgery,which limits their practical application in the protection of confidential information.In this research,a dual-stimuli-responsive intelligent fluorescent material based on Tb^(3+)and Eu^(3+)ions doped layered lanthanide hydroxide(LYH:Eu_(x)Tb_(1-x)DPA)was fabricated,which can realize reversible multi-color luminescence conversion(from green to red)by varying the pH and temperature.Combined with the Morse code and security pattern,the multiple encryption and decryption of confidential information and anti-counterfeiting can also be realized.Therefore,the obtained intelligent fluorescent material has a great application prospect for information security.In addition,due to the excellent color tunability,the material can provide the possibility to obtain potential fingerprints with high contrast and no background interference on different color substrates.The unique dual-stimuli-responsive behavior of this material provides more ingenious design inspiration for the design of multi-color intelligent fluorescent devices.

Two algorithms for constructing a class of compactly supported conjugate symmetric complex tight wavelet framesψ={ψ1,ψ2}are derived.Firstly,a necessary and sufficient condition for constructing the conjugate symmetric complex tight wavelet frames is established.Secondly,based on a given conjugate symmetric low pass filter,a description of a family of complex wavelet frame solutions is provided when the low pass filter is of even length.When one wavelet is conjugate symmetric and the other is conjugate antisymmetric,the two wavelet filters can be obtained by matching the roots of associated polynomials.Finally,two examples are given to illustrate how to use our method to construct conjugate symmetric complex tight wavelet frames which have some vanishing moments.

In this paper,we present a concrete method for constructing a class of compactly supported nonseparable orthogonal wavelet bases of L（R）,n ≥ 2.The orthogonal wavelets are associated with dilation matrix αI（α≥ 2,α∈ Z）,where Iis the identity matrix of order n.In the end,two examples are given to illustrate how to use our method to construct nonseparable orthogonal wavelet bases.

本研究以甘草、黄芩和桔梗为化感受体,探究不同浓度的元宝枫凋落叶浸提液对3种中草药种子萌发和幼苗生长的影响,以期为北京元宝枫林下中草药的种植提供理论依据。结果表明:元宝枫凋落叶浸提液对甘草和黄芩的种子萌发表现出“低促高抑”效应,而对桔梗表现为抑制作用。元宝枫凋落叶浸提液对3种中草药种子萌发和幼苗生长的化感效应为桔梗>黄芩>甘草。3种中草药幼苗叶片的叶绿素含量在不同浓度处理下均低于对照。元宝枫凋落叶浸提液处理使黄芩幼苗叶片的超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)活性升高,黄芩、甘草幼苗叶片的过氧化氢酶(CAT)活性随浸提液浓度的升高先升后降,3种中草药幼苗叶片的丙二醛含量随浸提液浓度的升高呈先增加后减少的趋势。综上,元宝枫林下应避免种植桔梗,适宜种植甘草和黄芩。

BACKGROUND Intestinal malrotation is a congenital defect of embryonic development caused by various teratogenic factors.In this condition,the intestinal tube,along with the superior mesenteric artery serving as the axis for the counterclockwise movement,is incomplete or abnormally rotated due to incomplete attachment of the mesentery and abnormal intestinal tube position.Such a case is usually asymp-tomatic and thus difficult to detect.Therefore,similar variant malformations are only found during an operation required for other abdominal diseases.CASE SUMMARY An elderly male patient was admitted to the hospital due to gastric cancer.An abdominal computed tomography(CT)scan with contrast revealed that the ascending and descending colon were parallel on the right side of the abdominal cavity,while the sigmoid colon extended into the right iliac fossa,allowing the diagnosis of congenital midgut malrotation.Following thorough preoperative preparation,the patient underwent laparoscopic radical gastrectomy to treat his gastric cancer.Intraoperatively,an exploration of the abdominal cavity uncovered the absence of the transverse colon.The distal colon at the hepatic flexure,along with the ascending colon,extended into the right iliac fossa,where it continued as the sigmoid colon.As planned,the laparoscopic radical gastrectomy was perform-ed,and the patient was discharged from the hospital 7 d after the surgery.CONCLUSION Asymptomatic intestinal malrotation is best detected by CT,requiring no treatment but possibly interfering with the treatment of other diseases.

There are three distinct genetic systems in higher plants,the dominant nuclear genome and the semi-autonomous organelle genomes(plastids and mitochondria).In contrast to the conserved plastid genome(plastome),the plant mitochondrial genome(mitogenome)is characterized by an intriguing“evolutionary paradox”distinguished by a remarkably low mutation rate but with a significantly high rearrangement rate(Palmer and Herbon,1988;Lai et al.,2022).
