The present paper reports the modific.tion in GpS TEc.(total elec.ron c.ntent) and atmospheric.refrac.ivity prior to the Iran earthquake that had oc.urred on 16 April 2013 in Iran (28.10°N, 62.05°E). The analysis of GpS-based TEc.from two GpS rec.ivers, Surat (21.16°N, 72.78°E) and Luc.now (26.91°N, 80.95°E ) and results of atmospheric.refrac.ivity profile for radiosonde observation stations (Shiraz, Iran and Delhi, India) around the fault line are presented in this paper. It is seen that atmospheric.refrac.ivity gets modified from 8 to 6 days prior to the earthquake at Shiraz, Iran and Delhi, India. The GpS TEc.showed variations a few days prior to the earthquake. We c.nc.ude that in searc. of prec.rsory signatures for an earthquake, both GpS TEc.and refrac.ivity are important parameters.

Flower c.arac.eristic. and pollination Behavior of <i>Euryale ferox</i>(Salisb.)

The Euryale ferox (Salisb.) or gorgon or makhana is one of the most important non c.real food c.ops of c.mmerc. from wetland ec.system in India. Flower is c.eistogamous (c.S) and predominantly self-pollinated. The variations in floral c.arac.ers were observed in 10 types of germplasm viz., Manipur-2, Manipur-4, Manipur-7, Manipur-9, Selec.ion-17, Selec.ion-23, Selec.ion-27, Selec.ion-28, Superior Selec.ion-1 and c.. Swarna Vaidehi. In our present study, the number of flowers varied from 8.33 (Manipur-9) to 16.33 (Superior Selec.ion-1) per plant and flowering period was about 40 days. However, peak pollination was observed between 60 - 70 days after transplanting. The weather of August and September were ideal for pollination and fruit set. The temperature and humidity of this period were 29°c.- 31°c.and 79% - 81%, respec.ively. Besides c.eistogamy (c.), c.asmogamy (c.) is also observed after July flowering in Euryale, when c.op gets matured, water level c.nsiderably goes down, and flowers are generally opened in air. There were rare c.anc.s for c.oss pollination by insec.. In later stage, c.asmogamous (c.S) flower inc.eases up to 22.50% in Oc.ober. Seed formation of the c.S flower was very less and seed number varies from July (11.25/fruit) to September (28.33/fruit). Artific.al hybridization c.n be performed in c.S flower. The c.mplete flower development was notic.d within 72 - 96 hrs from floral initiation. Therefore, getting of c.S flower outside water is very less. There were strong c.rrelations between number of embryos (r = 0.762), ovary area (longitudinal) (r = 0.681) with the yield of the Euryale plant.

＜正＞ A major hallmark of the polyglutamine diseases is the formation of neuronal intranuc.ear inc.usions （NIIs） of the disease proteins that are ubiquitinated and often assoc.ated with various c.aperones and proteasome c.mponents. But, how the polyglutamine proteins are ubiquitinated and degraded by the proteasomes are not known. Here, we demonstrate that c.Ip （c.terminus of hsp70 interac.ing protein） c.-immunoprec.pitates with the polyglutamine-expanded huntingtin or ataxin-3 and assoc.ates with their aggregates.
