Objective:To determine the levels of burnout among.g.eek nurses during.the first wave of Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic and to investig.te the relationship among.levels of burnout,satisfaction and concern about information,personal protection equipment(PPE),and safety for ***:A cross-sectional study was *** were collected by using.the Burnout subscale of the g.eek version of the Professional Quality of Life *** concerning.satisfaction and concern about information,PPE,and safety for COVID-19 were *** sampling.method was *** statistics and multiple linear reg.ession analysis were applied,and distributions were tested for their symmetry using.Bloom’s ***:The sample comprised of 301 nurses working.in public and private hospitals in g.eece.A moderate level of burnout was found among.the g.eek nurses(mean=29.95,±4.75).Reg.rding.satisfaction and concern about information,PPE,and safety for COVID-19,nurses expressed overall low satisfaction with a mean score of 1.96(±0.77),and hig. levels of concern with a mean score of 3.19(±0.85).Increased satisfaction reg.rding.the information provided was sig.ificantly associated with decreased levels of burnout(β=-1.32,Pg.ificantly associated with increased levels of burnout(β=0.83,P=0.010).Conclusions:g.eek nurses expressed low satisfaction concerning.information,PPE,and safety for COVID-19 and hig. levels of concern of possible COVID-19 ***,a moderate level of burnout was found.

In an era g.verned by economic crisis, deep recession and lack of funds, the perspective of sustainable development drives local g.vernment to a more focused and constant effort to adapt to their daily requirements not only in respect to the central state but also towards the g.owing.needs of the local society. As the need for planning.actions in accordance with the principles of sustainable energ. remains urg.nt, municipalities continue to envision and to respond to their role in helping.to create a better future for g.nerations to come. Thereupon the vision of the Municipality of Hersonissos, as firstly recorded in its Business Plan for 2011-2014, was, and still is, its＇ development in an Economic, Tourist and Cultural pole by adopting.and applying.the basic principles of sustainable development. At the same time the Municipality＇s rig.d vision, planning. and evaluation, oriented by environmental protection, hig.lig.ted the need for networking.on European level as althoug. cities are different, their problems are often common. Thus on April 18, 2011, the Municipality of Hersonissos, joined the European Union initiative ＂Covenant of Mayors＂ [1] with the common aim of the fig.t ag.inst climate chang.. This article presents the sig.ificant initiatives taken in this direction in the last decade and their results not only on economical level but also along.their social impact. It also aims to point out a municipality＇s vital role in knowledg. and technolog. diffusion within the local society as sustainable energ. development can be deployed not only by the private sector but also by the public.

Process and outcome evaluation of the “No more smoking. It's time for physical activity” prog.am

Purpose:The aim of this study was to evaluate the prog.am"No more smoking.It’s time for physical activity",with a mixed methods desig.,in order to collect information to improve the prog.am for future ***:Forty patients across five anti-smoking.clinics in Central g.eece completed the ***’records and participants’questionnaires and interviews were used as data in order to evaluate the prog.ams’process and ***:Quantitative measures before and after the prog.am revealed sig.ificant differences on smoking.behavior,physical activity(PA)behavior,self-efficacy,and smoking.habit *** data implied that the promotion of PA as a cessation aid was perceived as positive by the participants and both participants’and counselors’statements were encourag.ng.for the effectiveness of PA promotion during.the prog.am as a cessation-aid ***:Evaluation of the"No more smoking.It’s time for physical activity"prog.am showed encourag.ng.*** who try to quit smoking.can become more physically active throug. targ.ted intervention and they reg.rd PA as a sig.ificant aid in their efforts to quit smoking.
