Fluctuating fine-scale spatial genetic structure in the common shrews (Eulipotyphla, Mammalia)

The spatial genetic structure is a topical issue in the studies of various aspects of ecology and *** the multilocus autocorrelation method with hypervariable microsatellite genetic markers,we investigated aﬁne-scale pattern of genetic structure in 5 local populations of the common shrew Sorex araneus separated by distances of 300–1000 m(the Moscow chromosomal race).Spatial genetic autocorrelation analysis based on 5 microsatellite loci(expected heterozygosity>0.79)with 90 alleles revealed a consistent pattern of signiﬁcant positive genetic *** testing the autocorrelation at multiple scales from 25 to 500 m,we found that positive spatial genetic structure is detectable in distance classes of<500 *** weaker spatial genetic structure positively correlated with a higher ratio of nonresident individuals to residents’activity(number of captures).In contrast to nonresident animals,the residents demonstrated prominent genetic *** difference(FST)between the populations was signiﬁcant(0.016–0.051)and comparable with that between populations of different races analyzed previously(0.016–0.038).FST was not associated with geographic *** demographic patterns allowed us to propose a scheme of genetic-structure dynamics involving periodic appearance of more related local groups and renewal of allelic proﬁles fromаcommon pool where the alleles are *** scheme predictsﬂuctuating genetic structure and random similar differences among local populations.

The modern information society is enabled by photonic fiber networks characterized by huge coverage and great complexity and ranging in size from transcontinental submarine telecommunication cables to fiber to the home and local *** world-wide network has yet to match the complexity of the human brain,which contains a hundred billion neurons,each with thousands of synaptic connections on ***,it already exceeds the complexity of brains from primitive organisms,i.e.,the honey bee,which has a brain containing approximately one million *** this study,we present a discussion of the computing potential of optical networks as information *** a simple fiber network,we provide a proof-of-principle demonstration that this network can be treated as an optical oracle for the Hamiltonian path problem,the famous mathematical complexity problem of finding whether a set of towns can be travelled via a path in which each town is visited only *** of a Hamiltonian path is achieved by monitoring the delay of an optical pulse that interrogates the network,and this delay will be equal to the sum of the travel times needed to visit all of the nodes(towns).We argue that the optical oracle could solve this NP-complete problem hundreds of times faster than brute-force ***,we discuss secure communication applications for the optical oracle and propose possible implementation in silicon photonics and plasmonic networks.

In this article the inherent computational power of the quantum entangled cluster states examined by measurement-based quantum computations is studied. By defining a common framework of rules for measurement of quantum entangled cluster states based on classical computations, the precise and detailed meaning of the computing power of the correlations in the quantum cluster states is made. This study exposes a connection, arousing interest, between the infringement of the realistic models that are local and the computing power of the quantum entangled cluster states.

We describe a new species of megophryid frog from Phu Yen Province in southern Vietnam. Leptolalax macrops sp. nov. is distinguished from its congeners by a combination of the following morphological attributes：（1） body size medium （SVL 28.0-29.3 mm in three adult males, 30.3 mm in single adult female）; （2） supra-axillary glands present, creamy white; ventrolateral glands indistinct; （3） tympanum externally distinct; （4） dorsal skin roughly granular with larger tubercles, dermal ridges on dorsum absent; （5） rudimentary webbing present between fingers I-II and I1-111; rudimentary webbing between all toes; fingers and toes without dermal fringes; （6） in life ventral surface greyish-violet with white speckling; （7） supratympanic fold distinct, dark brown in life; （8） iris bicolored, typically golden in upper half, fading to golden green in lower half; （9） tibia short （TbL/SVL 0.44-0.45 in males）; and （10） eyes large and protuberant （ED/SVL 0.15-0.16 in males） From all congeners for which comparable sequences are available, the new species differs markedly in the 16S rRNA mitochondrial gene sequence （P-distance〉5.7%）. The new species is currently known only from montane evergreen tropical forests of Song Hinh District, Phu Yen Province, and M＇Drak District of Dak Lak Province at elevations of 470-630 m a.s.l.. We suggest the new species should be considered as Data Deficient following the IUCN＇s Red List categories. We also report a previously unknownLeptolalax mtDNA lineage from an evergreen tropica forest in the Hoa Thinh District of Phu Yen Province which may also represent an undescribed species.

A new species of small tree frog from a primary montane tropical forest of central Vietnam, Tay Nguyen Plateau, is described based on morphological, molecular, and acoustic evidence. The Golden Bug-Eyed Frog, Theloderma auratum sp. nov., is distinguishable from its congeners and other small rhacophorid species based on a combination of the following morphological attributes：（1） bony ridges on head absent; （2） smooth skin completely lacking calcified warts or asperities; （3） pointed elongated tapering snout; （4） vocal opening in males absent; （5） vomerine teeth absent; （6） males of small body size （SVL 21.8-26.4 mm）; （7） head longer than wide; ED/SVL ratio 13%-15%; ESL/SVL ratio 16%-20%; （8） small tympanum （TD/EL ratio 50%-60%） with few tiny tubercles; （9） supratympanic fold absent; （10） ventral surfaces completely smooth; （11 ） webbing between fingers absent; （12） outer and inner metacarpal tubercles present, supernumerary metacarpal tubercle single, medial, oval in shape; （13） toes half-webbed： I 2-21/4 II 11/^-23/~ III 2-31/4 IV 3-11/2 V; （14） inner metatarsal tubercle present, oval; outer metatarsal tubercle absent; （15） iris bicolored; （16） dorsal surfaces golden-yellow with sparse golden-orange speckling or reticulations and few small dark-brown spots; （17） lateral sides of head and body with wide dark reddish-brown to black lateral stripes, clearlyseparated from lighter dorsal coloration by straight contrasting edge; （18） ventral surfaces of body, throat, and chest greyish-blue with indistinct brown confluent blotches; （19） upper eyelids with few （3-5） very small flat reddish superciliary tubercles; （20） limbs dorsally reddish-brown, ventrally brown with small bluish-white speckles. The new species is also distinct from all congeners in 12S rRNA to 16S rRNA mitochondrial DNA fragment sequences （uncorrected genetic distance P〉8.9%）. Advertisement call and tadpole morphology of the new species are described. Our molecular data showed Theloderma auratum sp. nov.

Considering the structural analysis problem of systems properties with Bouc-Wen hysteresis (BWH), various approaches are proposed for the identification of BWH parameters. The applied methods and algorithms are based on the design of parametric models and consider a priori information and the results of data analysis. Structural changes in the BWH form a priori. Methods for the Bouc-Wen model (BWM) identification and its structure estimation are not considered under uncertainty. The study’s purpose is the analysis the structural problems of the Bouc-Wen hysteresis identification. The analysis base is the application of geometric frameworks (GF) under uncertainty. Methods for adaptive estimation parameters and structural of BWM were proposed. The adaptive system stability is proved based on vector Lyapunov functions. An approach is proposed to estimate the identifiability and structure of the system with BWH. The method for estimating the identifiability degree based on the analysis of GF is considered. BWM modifications are proposed to guarantee the system’s stability and simplify its description.

The purpose of this review is to apply geometric frameworks in identification problems. In contrast to the qualitative theory of dynamical systems (DSQT), the chaos and catastrophes, researches on the application of geometric frameworks have not been performed in identification problems. The direct transfer of DSQT ideas is inefficient through the peculiarities of identification systems. In this paper, the attempt is made based on the latest researches in this field. A methodology for the synthesis of geometric frameworks (GF) is proposed, which reflects features of nonlinear systems. Methods based on GF analysis are developed for the decision-making on properties and structure of nonlinear systems. The problem solution of structural identifiability is obtained for nonlinear systems under uncertainty.

This report presents a second version of the Interactive Quantum Development Environment (IQDE), virtualized parallel simulation platform for optimized testing of quantum software. IQDE is an interactive quantum simulator intended for implementation of a classical computer that can simulate numerous controlled and time-dependent operations. The research presents different relations between the operations that can be typically simulated. The virtualized simulation platform carries out numerous single-node and multi-node optimizations, including vectorization, parallelization, cache sharing, as well as overlapping of the computations with the communication. A common strategy for modeling for shared memory is implemented, as well as realistic parallel simulation with cluster management of the parallelization. А detailed analysis of the implementation is performed in order to be demonstrated that the simulator achieves good operation and high efficiency of the hardware, which is only limited by the available memory and the bandwidth of the machine.
