All-inorganic CsPbIBr_(2) perovskite has attracted widespread attention in photovoltaic and other optoelectronic devices because of its superior thermal ***,the deposition of high-quality solutionprocessed CsPbIBr_(2) perovskite films with large thicknesses remains ***,we develop a triple-component precursor(TCP) by employing lead bromide,lead iodide,and cesium bromide,to replace the most commonly used double-component precursor(DCP) consisting of lead bromide and cesium ***,the TCP system significantly increases the solution concentration to 1.3 M,leading to a larger film thickness(~390 nm) and enhanced light *** resultant CsPbIBr_(2) films were evaluated in planar n-i-p structured solar cells,which exhibit a considerably higher optimal photocurrent density of 11.50 mA cm^(-2) in comparison to that of DCP-based devices(10.69 mA cm^(-2)).By adopting an organic surface passivator,the maximum device efficiency using TCP is further boosted to a record efficiency of 12.8% for CsPbIBr_(2) perovskite solar cells.

Template-mediated strategy to regulate hierarchically nitrogen-sulfur co-doped porous carbon as superior anode material for lithium capacity

Considering its rapid lithiation/delithiation process and robust capacitive energy storage,hierarchical porous carbon is regarded as a promising candidate for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).However,it remains a great challenge to construct a porous structure and prevent structure stacking for carbon-based ***,a templatemediated approach is developed to synthesize hierarchical nitrogen-sulfur co-doped porous carbon(nSPC)using low-cost asphalt *** strategy for synthesis uses g-C_(3)n_(4) and naHCO_(3) as gaseous templates and naCl as a solid template,which causes the formation of hierarchical porous carbon with a high specific surface *** resultant porous structure and nitrogen-doping process can prevent the aggregation of nanosheets,maintain the structural stability upon cycling,and achieve rate-capable lithium *** as a LIBs anode,reversible specific capacities of the nSPC24 electrode reach 788 and 280 mAh·g^(-1) at 0.1 and 1 A·g^(-1),***,its specific capacity remains at 830 mAh·g^(-1) after 115 cycles at 0.1 A·g^(-1).Even after 500 cycles,high specific capacities of 727 mAh·g^(-1) at 0.5 A·g^(-1) and 624 mAh·g^(-1) at 1 A·g^(-1) are achieved,demonstrating excellent cycling *** gas-solid bifunctional template-mediated approach can guide the design of porous materials very well,meanwhile realizing the high value-added utilization of asphalt.

Evaluation of the updated definition of early allograft dysfunction in donation after brain death and donation after cardiac death liver allografts

BACKGROUnD:An updated definition of early allograft dysfunction(EAD) was recently validated in a multicenter study of 300 deceased donor liver transplant *** analysis did not differentiate between donation after brain death(DBD) and donation after cardiac death(DCD) allograft ***:We reviewed our prospectively entered database for all DBD(n=377) and DCD(n=38) liver transplantations between January 1,2006 and October 30,*** incidence of EAD as well as its ability to predict graft failure and survival was compared between DBD and DCD ***:EAD was a valid predictor of both graft and patient survival at six months in DBD allograft recipients,but in DCD allograft recipients there was no significant difference in the rate of graft failure in those with EAD(11.5%) compared with those without EAD(16.7%)(P=0.664) or in the rate of death in recipients with EAD(3.8%) compared with those without EAD(8.3%)(P=0.565).The graft failure rate in the first 6 months in those with international normalized ratio ≥1.6 on day 7 who received a DCD allograft was 37.5% compared with 6.7% for those with international normalized ratio n day 7(P=0.022).COnCLUSIOnS:The recently validated definition of EAD is a valid predictor of patient and graft survival in recipients of DBD *** initial assessment,it does not appear to be a useful predictor of patient and graft survival in recipients of DCD allografts,however a study with a larger sample size of DCD allografts is needed to confirm these *** high ALT/AST levels in most recipients of DCD livers as well as the predisposition to biliary complications and early cholestasis make these parameters as poor predictors of graft *** alternative definition of EAD that gives greater weight to the InR on day 7 may be more relevant in this population.

Development and application of photocatalytic coating for roadside nO_(x) mitigation in Hong Kong

A facile chemical method for the development of photocatalytic coating products was proposed based on practical application perspective for the Hong Kong roadside nitrogen oxides(nO_(x))***_(2)-based photocatalytic coating PC-C film with crystallized size of around 5–6 nm was synthesized with the peptization of H_(2)O_(2).The PC-C coating possesses a super-hydrophilicity surface and is proven to have a nO_(x)degradation rate of 46.8%with an optimum pH level of *** addition,the PC-C coating presents a promising photocatalytic nO_(x)degradation compared with other commercially available coating products and P25 when applied on two building materials of poly-methyl methacrylate(PMMA)and concrete surface.A weather resistance simulation and a 180-day on-site field trial were carried out the attenuation effects of photocatalytic coating applied in outdoor *** on epidemiological estimation and field investigation,hospital admissions for respiratory diseases(HARD)and mortality cases(MC)could be reduced with the application of PC-C coating along the street *** work demonstrates the feasibility of air pollution control measures for the local roadside nO_(x)using photocatalytic technology,offering promising health benefits with environmental remediation.

The ulnar collateral ligament(UCL) is a vital structure to the overhead athlete,especially the baseball *** reasons not completely understood,UCL injurieshave become increasingly more common in major league baseball(MLB) pitchers over the past 10 *** reconstruction(UCLR) is the current gold standard of treatment for these injuries in MLB pitchers who wish to return to sport(RTS) at a high level and who have failed a course of non-operative *** following UCLR in MLB pitchers have been encouraging,with multiple RTS rates now cited at greater than 80%.Unfortunately,with the rising number of UCLR,there has also been a spike in the number of revision UCLR in MLB *** to primary UCLR,the etiology of the increase in revision UCLR,aside from an increase in the number of pitchers who have undergone a primary UCLR,remains *** current literature has attempted to address several questions including those surrounding surgical technique(method of exposure,graft choice,management of the ulnar nerve,concomitant elbow arthroscopy,etc.),post-operative rehabilitation strategies,and timing of RTS following *** some questions have been answered,many remain *** literature surrounding UCLR in MLB pitchers will be reviewed,and future directions regarding this injury in these high level athletes will be discussed.

Effect of Paired Associative Stimulation on Motor Cortex Excitability in Rats

Paired associative stimulation (PAS),combining transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) with electrical peripheral nerve stimulation (PnS) in pairs with an optimal interstimulus interval (ISI)in between,has been shown to influence the excitability of the motor cortex (MC)in ***,the underlying mechanisms remain *** study was designed to explore an optimal protocol of PAS,which can modulate the excitability of MC in rats,and to investigate the underlying mechanisms. The resting motor thresholds (RMTs) of TMS-elicited motor evoked potentials (MEPs) recorded from the gastrocnemius muscle and the latency of P1 component of somatosensory evoked potentials (SEPs) induced by electrical tibial nerve stimulation were determined in male Sprague-Dawley rats (n=10).Sixty rats were then randomly divided into 3 groups:a PAS group (further divided into 10 subgroups at various ISIs calculated by using the latency of P1,n=5,respectively),a TMS (only)group (n=5)and a PnS (only)group (n=5).ninety repetitions of PAS,TMS and PnS were administered to the rats in the 3 groups,respectively,at the frequency of 0.05 Hz and the intensity of TMS at 120% RMT and that of PnS at 6 *** and motor evoked potentials'amplitude (MEPamp)were recorded before and immediately after the *** was found that the MEPamp significantly decreased after PAS at ISI of 5 ms (Pnificantly increased after PAS at ISI of 15ms,as compared with those before the intervention (Pnot change significantly after PAS at ISI of 5 ms or 15 ms (P>0.05).PAS at other ISis as well as the sole use of TMS and PnS induced no remarkable changes in MEPamp and *** conclusion,PAS can influence motor cortex excitability in *** TMS alone nor PnS alone shows significant effect.

Composite solid electrolytes(CSEs) containing polymer matrices and inorganic fillers hold promise for the next generation of solid-state ***,the role of residual solvents in CSEs remains *** study investigated the evolution and function of the residual solvent in a polymer-Li_2B_(12)H_(12) CSE.A partial reaction occurred between Li_2B_(12)H_(12) and solvent n,n-dimethylformamide(DMF),which produced dimethylaminomethanol(DMAM) in the *** functional theory calculations have revealed that DMA M forms stronger hydrogen bonds with polyvinylidene fluoride chains than DMF,which can have a plasticizing effect on the polymer matrix,leading to lower crystallinity and quicker segment ***,this CSE exhibited improved Li-ion conducting properties,enabling the stable cycling of Li‖LiFePO_(4) solid-state *** study provided insights into the role of residual solvents in CSEs.

Malunion in displaced intracapsular fracture of femoral neck： A rare case

Intracapsular fracture of femoral neck is treated by anatomical reduction （preferably closed） and can- nulated cancellous lag screw fixation. Malunion of these fractures have been described in the coronal plane （coxa valga or coxa rata）. We reported a case of young adult patient with displaced intracapsular fracture of femoral neck that had malunited in sagittal plane with callus formation with excellent functional outcome. The radiographs revealed intracapsular fracture of femoral neck right side （Garden type 4 and Pauwel type 3）. The patient was operated and closed reduction and internal fixation with three cannulated cancellous screws was performed. The postoperative radiograph revealed a loss of reduction in the lateral view. Due to this technical error, the patient was counselled for revision fixation for which he refused. At 9 months we observed union of the fracture in the displaced position by callus formation. Harris hip score at 2 years was 96 that indicate excellent functional outcome and the ra- diographs did not reveal any evidence of avascular necrosis of femoral head. We advised revision surgery to our patient as he had increased chances of implant failure and nonunion. However he refused the revision surgery and was continued with the suboptimal reduction. However, the fracture united and that too with callus formation, which is not a described phenomenon in neck of femur fracture.

Simultaneous Determination of Melamine, Ammelide, Ammeline, and Cyanuric Acid in Milk and Milk Products by Gas Chromatography-tandem Mass Spectrometry

Objective To develop an analytical method for simultaneously qualitative and quantitative determination of melamine and triazine-related by-products including ammelide, ammeline, and cyanuric acid in milk and milk products by gas chromatography- tandem mass spectrometry （GC-MS/MS）. Methods Melamine and triazine-related by-products namely ammelide, ammeline and cyanuric acid in the samples were extracted in a solvent mixture of diethylamine, water, and acetonitrile （10：40：50, V/V/V）. After centrifugation, an aliquot of the supernatant was evaporated to dryness under a gentle stream of nitrogen gas, and then melamine and triazine-related by-products were derivatized using BSTFA with 1% TMCS. The derivatives of melamine and its analogues were determined by gas chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry using multiple reactional monitoring （MRM） with 2, 6-Diamino-4-chloropyrimidine （DACP） being used as an internal standard. Results The linear detectable ranges were from 0.004 mg/kg to 1.6 mg/kg for melamine, ammelide, ammeline, and cyanuric acid with a correlation coefficient no less than 0.999. The recovery rates of the tour compounds in spiked blank milk powder at concentrations 0.5, 1, 2 mg/kg were between 61.4%-117.2%, and the relative standard deviation was no more than 11.5% （n=6）. The detection limits of melamine, ammelide, ammeline and cyanuric acid in milk powder were 0.002 mg/kg with a ratio of signal to noise of 3. Conclusion This GC-MS/MS method for simultaneous determination of melamine, ammelide, ammeline, and cyanuric acid in milk and milk products is sensitive and specific.
