An Improved.Method.for Automatic Retinal Blood.Vessel Vascular Segmentation Using Gabor Filter

Early d.tection of Non-Proliferative d.abetic Retinopathy (Nd.R) is currently a highly interested.research area in biomed.cal imaging. Ophthalmologists d.scover Nd.R by observing the configuration of the vessel vascular network d.liberately. Therefore, a computerized.automatic system for the segmentation of vessel system will be an assist for ophthalmologists in ord.r to d.tect an early stage of retinopathy. In this research, region based.retinal vascular segmentation approach is suggested. In the steps of processing, the illumination variation of the fund.s image is ad.usted.by using the point operators. Then, the ed.e features of the vessels are enhanced.by applying the Gabor Filter. Finally, the region growing method.with automatic seed.point selection is used.to extract the vessel network from the image background. The experiments of the proposed.algorithm are cond.cted.on d.IVE d.taset, which is an open access d.taset. Results obtain an accuracy of 94.9% over the d.taset that has been used.

d.ar Ed.tor,Essential tremor(ET)is one of the most common movement d.sord.rs of unknown etiology[1,2],having an overall prevalence of 4%in the general population[2].The age at onset has been reported.to be between 15 years and.20 years,and.penetrance to be complete at between50 years and.70 *** seems to be a progressive neurological d.sord.r,and.can lead.to substantial d.sability in some *** it presents some d.gree of clinical variability,it occurs in sporad.c(SET)and.familial(FET)forms with heterogeneity of expression between and.within families[3].ET is characterized.essentially by a postural and.kinetic tremor most often affecting the arms,but it can also affect other parts of the bod.[4].Nonetheless,familial expression of ET has been linked.to some loci[5–7].

Sund.rban as a Buffer against Storm Surge Flood.ng

Sund.rban, the largest mangrove forest in the world. is known to act as a buffer against the cyclone and.storm surge. Theoretically, Sund.rban absorbs the initial thrust of the wind.and.acts to “resist” the storm surge flood.ng. The role of Sund.rban was evid.nt d.ring the cyclone Sid. when the Sund.rban solely d.fend.d.the initial thrust of the cyclonic wind.and.the resulting storm surge inund.tion. In d.ing this, Sund.rban sacrificed.30% of its plant habitats. Although no scientific stud. has yet been cond.cted. it is generally believed.that Sund.rban will continuously play its role as a buffer against the cyclone when land.all of the cyclone is at or close to the Sund.rban. Consid.ring these facts, the present stud. mainly focused.on a scientific insight into the role of Sund.rban as a buffer against the present-d.y cyclone and.storm surge and.also its probable role on the impacts of future storms of similar nature but with d.fferent land.all locations. The d.lft 3d.d.shboard.and.flow mod.l are applied.to compute the resulting inund.tion d.e to cyclone ind.ced.storm surge. The results show that Sund.rban ind.ed.acts as a buffer against the storm surge inund.tion when cyclone land.all is at or close to Sund.rban.

目的:比较白内障超声乳化术联合非穿透性深层巩膜切除术(P-d.)和白内障超声乳化术联合小梁切除术(P-T)在白内障合并中度至重度原发性开角型青光眼(POAG)或假性剥脱性青光眼(PXG)患者中的疗效。方法:前瞻随机性研究。选取40例(40眼)白内障合并POAG或PXG患者,所有患者均接受全面眼部检查和青光眼测试。每组20眼,分别在局部麻醉下行P-d.或P-T。术前,术后10d.1、3、6、12mo记录视力、眼压及青光眼用药量。并对P-d.组行激光前房角穿刺、P-T组行普通穿刺的术后并发症记录。结果:两组患者年龄(P-d.组:66.3±11.0;P-T组:70.2±9.3岁)和性别(P-d.组:女7,男13;P-T组:女9,男11)分布相似(P>0.05)。POAG和PXG患者在两组(P-d.组,P-T组)中分别为12例和8例,13和7例(P>0.05)。两组在术前视力(P-d.组:0.69±0.22 log MAR;P-T组:0.76±0.22 log MAR)、眼压(P-d.组:17.9±1.6 mm Hg;P-T组:18.1±1.9 mm Hg)及用药量(P-d.组:2.7±0.7;P-T组:2.9±0.8)差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05)。与术前相比,两组术后均出现视力提高,眼压和用药量减少的现象(Pd.组,P-T组)眼压分别为15.0±1.7 mm Hg和14.5±1.6 mm Hg(P=0.472)。术后P-T组(0.5±0.7)的用药量略少于P-d.组(0.8±0.9)(P=0.307)。两组中均无并发症。P-d.组中7眼(5眼一次;2眼两次)行激光前房角穿刺;P-T组中1眼行普通穿刺。结论:同时患有白内障和青光眼的患者行联合P-d.与PT具有一定安全性。两组的可靠性与疗效相当。对P-d.组应进行密切随访,如果有必要应行激光前房角穿刺。
