BACKGROUND:Laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC)is the operation of choice for removal of the gallbladder. Unrecognized bile duct injuries present with biliary peritonitis and systemic *** has been shown to cause damage to the vascular wall and therefore delay the healing of injured arteries leading to pseudoaneurysm *** to deal with bile leak and secondary infection may result in pseudoaneurysm formation. This study was to report the incidence and outcomes of pseudoaneurysm in patients with bile leak following LC referred to our hospital. METHODS:A retrospective analysis of our prospectively maintained liver database using pseudoaneurysm, bile leak and bile duct injury following laparoscopic cholecystectomy from January 2000 to December 2005 was performed. RESULTS:A total of 86 cases were referred with bile duct injury and bile leak following LC and of these,4 patients (4.5%)developed hepatic artery pseudoaneurysm(HAP) presenting with haemobilia in 3 and massive intra- abdominal bleed in *** visceral angiography confirmed pseudoaneurysm of the right hepatic artery in 2 cases,cystic artery stump in one and an intact but ectatic hepatic artery with surgical clips closely applied to the right hepatic artery at the origin of the cystic artery in the fourth *** hemostasis was achieved in 3 patients with coil embolization and the fourth patient required emergency laparotomy for severe bleeding and hemodynamic instability due to a ruptured right hepatic *** the 3 patients treated with coil embolization, 2 developed late strictures of the common hepatic duct. . (CHD)requiring hepatico-jejunostomy and one developed a stricture of left hepatic *** the 4 patients are alive at a median follow up of 17 months(range 1 to 65)with normal liver function tests. Objective:To conduct a systematic literature review on urethral calculi in a contemporary cohort describing etiology,investigation,and management ***:A systematic search of MEDLINE and Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials(CENTRAL)databases was ***,including case reports and case series on urethral calculi published between January 2000 and December 2019,were ***-text manuscripts were reviewed for clinical parameters including symptomatology,etiology,medical history,investigations,treatment,and *** were collated and analyzed with univariate ***:Seventy-four publications met inclusion criteria,reporting on 95 *** symptoms(41.1%),pain(40.0%),and acute urinary retention(32.6%)were common presenting *** calculi were most often initially investigated using plain X-ray(63.2%),with almost all radio-opaque(98.3%).Urethral calculi were frequently associated with coexistent bladder or upper urinary tract calculi(16.8%)and underlying urethral pathology(53.7%)including diverticulum(33.7%)or stricture(13.7%).Urethral calculi were most commonly managed with external urethrolithotomy(31.6%),retrograde manipulation(22.1%),and endoscopic in situ lithotripsy(17.9%).Conclusion:This unique systematic review of urethral calculi provided a summary of clinical features and treatment trends with a suggested treatment *** in contemporary urological practice should be according to calculus size,shape,anatomical location,and presence of urethral pathology.

In this study,samples were taken from three locations,upstream to downstream,along the central route project of the China South to North Water Diversion(SNWD)scheme in summer and *** were used to reveal the variations of dissolved organic matter(DOM)during the water transfer process,and the effects of these variations on drinking water treatment and disinfection by-products formation potential(DBPs-FP).The results showed that polysaccharides accumulate in summer and reduce in winter with flow distance,which has an important effect on the overall properties of DOM,as well as on the performance of coagulation,ultrafiltration,and the formation of *** substances,and their hydrophilic content,also increased in summer and decreased in winter with flow *** contrast,the concentration of small organic substances(MW≤1000 Da)increased in both summer and winter with flow distance,which affected both nanofiltration(NF)membrane fouling and *** results provide a useful case study of spatial and temporal changes in raw water DOM during long distance water transfer and their impact on the treatment and quality of drinking water from the SNWD.

In tiled pitched roofs,a ventilated layer reduces the heat transfer between tiles and roof structure by means of natural and forced convection,thereby also reducing the cooling energy *** effect could be enhanced by increasing the air permeability between the tiles by means of novel tile shapes,as proposed by the HEROTILE European project(UFE14 CCA/TT/000939),of which this work presents the preliminary analysis supporting the new tile *** an experimental rig,the air pressure difference and the volumetric flow rate between tiles have been measured for an existing Portoghese tile design over a range of ***,in older to understand the air flows under different conditions,a three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics(CFD)model has been implemented to recreate the full geometry of the *** model was calibrated against the aforementioned experimental results,and ran with boundary conditions simulating different wind *** in the low velocities typical of average local wind patterns,the fluid dynamic problem remains complex because of the geometry of the gaps between the *** relationship between pressure drop and flow rate,taking into account the open *** results have shown how the wind direction affects the air permeability and,therefore,important insights have been gathered for the design of novel tiles.

Pancreatoblastoma(PB)is one of the exocrine pancreatic tumors and the most common malignant pancreatic tumor in young *** can present with abdominal distension,pain,fatigue,vomiting and failure to *** pancreatic tumors usually affect patients between 1 and 8 years,with a median age of 5 *** is a slight preponderance in males and those of Asian descent[1].PB is considered to be embryonic in origin with moderately raised serum alpha-fetoprotein(AFP)levels[2].Axial imaging is necessary to assess other organ involvement,a common complication in adult patients,but diagnosis is confirmed on tissue histology[3].Complete surgical resection is the treatment of choice,if *** for neoadjuvant systemic chemotherapy include large tumors that involve adjacent major blood vessels or other organs and metastatic disease[1].Herein we report a pediatric case of PB with liver metastases who underwent liver transplantation for metastatic liver disease.

ABSTRACT： According to the most recent WHO classification of hepatocellular adenomas, a small percentage of inflammatory hepatocellular adenomas presents with mutation in the β-catenin gene and are at higher risk of malignant transformation. It has been recognized that adenoma-like hepatocellular neoplasms with focal atypia, or in unusual clinical context present with similar cytogenetic and immunohistochemistry characteristics to well-differentiated hepatocellular carcino- mas.
