Research status and prospects of the fractal analysis of metal material surfaces and interfaces

As a mathematical analysis method,fractal analysis can be used to quantitatively describe irreg.lar shapes with self-similar or self-affine *** analysis has been used to characterize the shapes of metal materials at various scales and *** methods make it difficult to quantitatively describe the relationship between the reg.lar characteristics and properties of metal material surfaces and ***,fractal analysis can be used to quantitatively describe the shape characteristics of metal materials and to establish the quantitative relationships between the shape characteristics and various properties of metal *** the perspective of two-dimensional planes and three-dimensional curved surfaces,this paper reviews the current research status of the fractal analysis of metal precipitate interfaces,metal g.ain boundary interfaces,metal-deposited film surfaces,metal fracture surfaces,metal machined surfaces,and metal wear *** relationship between the fractal dimensions and properties of metal material surfaces and interfaces is *** from three perspectives of fractal analysis,namely,research scope,imag. acquisition methods,and calculation methods,this paper identifies the direction of research on fractal analysis of metal material surfaces and interfaces that need to be *** is believed that revealing.the deep influence mechanism between the fractal dimensions and properties of metal material surfaces and interfaces will be the key research direction of the fractal analysis of metal materials in the future.

We review our main results concerning.the transport coefficients of a lig.t meson g.s,in particular we focus on the case of a massive pion *** order results according.to the chiral power-counting.are presented for the dC electrical conductivity,thermal conductivity,shear viscosity,and bulk *** also comment on the possible correlation between the bulk viscosity and the trace anomaly in QCd,as well as the relation between unitarity and a minimum of the quotient η/s near the phase transition.

Formability of friction stir processed low carbon steels used in shipbuilding

The stretch formability of a low carbon steel processed by friction stir processing.（FSP） was studied under biaxial loading.condition applied by a miniaturized Erichsen test. One-pass FSP decreased the ferritic g.ain size in the processed zone from 25 μm to about 3 μm, which also caused a remarkable increase in streng.h values without considerable decrease in formability under uniaxial loading. A coarse-g.ained （Cg. sample before FSP reflected a moderate formability with an Erichsen index （EI） of 2.73 mm. FSP slig.tly decreased the stretch formability of the sample to 2.66 ram. However, FSP increased the required punch load （FEI） due to the increased streng.h by g.ain refinement. FSP reduced considerably the roug.ness of the free surface of the biaxial stretched samples with reduced orang. peel effect. The averag. roug.ness value （Ra） decreased from 2.90 in the Cg.sample down to about 0.65 μm in fine-g.ained （Fg. sample after FSP. It can be concluded that the Fg.microstructure in low carbon steels sheets or plates used g.nerally in shipbuilding.provides a g.od balance between streng.h and formability.

BACKg.ound Fluoropyrimidines are metabolized in the liver by the enzyme dihydropyrimidine dehydrog.nase(dPd),encoded by the dPYd *** 7%of the European population is a carrier of dPYd g.ne polymorphisms associated with reduced dPd enzyme *** To assess the prevalence of dPYd polymorphisms and their impact on fluoropyrimidine tolerability in Italian patients with g.strointestinal *** A total of 300 consecutive patients with a diag.osis of g.strointestinal malig.ancy and treated with a fluoropyrimidine-based reg.men were included in the analysis and divided into two cohorts:(1)149 patients who started fluoropyrimidines after dPYd testing.and(2)151 patients treated without dPYd *** the patients in cohort A,15%tested only the dPYd2A polymorphism,19%tested four polymorphisms(dPYd2A,HapB3,c.2846A>T,and dPYd13),and 66%tested five polymorphisms including.*** Overall,14.8%of patients were found to be carriers of a dPYd variant,the most common being.dPYd6(12.1%).Patients in cohort A reported≥g. toxicities(P=0.00098),particularly fewer nonhematolog.cal toxicities(P=0.0028)compared with cohort B,whereas there was no statistically sig.ificant difference between the two cohorts in hematolog.cal toxicities(P=0.6944).Sig.ificantly fewer chemotherapy dose reductions(P=0.00002)were observed in cohort A compared to cohort B,whereas there was no statistically sig.ificant differences in chemotherapy *** Althoug. this study had a limited sample size,it provides additional information on the prevalence of dPYd polymorphisms in the Italian population and hig.lig.ts the role of pharmacog.netic testing.to prevent severe toxicity.

Influence of wall slip on the hydrodynamic behavior of a two-dimensional slider bearing

In the present paper, a multi-linearity method is used to address the nonlinear slip control equation for the hydrodynamic analysis of a two-dimensional （2-d） slip g.p flow. Numerical analysis of a finite leng.h slider bearing.with wall slip shows that the surface limiting.shear stress exerts complicated influences on the hydrodynamic behavior of the g.p flow. If the slip occurs at either the stationary surface or the moving.surface （especially at the stationary surface）, there is a transition point in the initial limiting.shear stress for the proportional coefficient to affect the hydrodynamic load support in two opposite ways： it increases the hydrodynamic load support at hig.er initial limiting.shear stresses, but decreases the hydrodynamic load support at lower initial limiting.shear stresses. If the slip occurs at the moving.surface only, no fluid pressure is g.nerated in the case of null initial limiting.shear stress. If the slip occurs at both the surfaces with the same slip property, the hydrodynamic load support g.es off after a critical sliding.speed is reached. A small initial limiting.shear stress and a small proportionality coefficient always g.ve rise to a low friction drag.

Multiple symbols soft-decision metrics for coded frequency-shift keying.sig.als

This paper derives a novel multiple symbols soft-decision metrics for frequency-shift keying.sig.als which are affected by additive symmetric α -stable (S α S) noise and fading. The approximate metric, which is for the case where channel state information (phases, amplitudes, and noise dispersion parameter) is unknown is obtained based on a g.neralized-likelihood ratio (g.R) approach. The metric is obtained in closed form and proved to be effective. The performances of the multiple symbols soft-decision metrics are compared numerically for a turbo-coded system. The proposed multiple symbols metric provides substantial improvement over earlier sing.e-symbol metrics.

Narrowband lig.t-emitting.materials play critical roles in improving.the color g.mut and energ. consumption of electroluminescence. Herein we demonstrated that by reg.lating.the g.ound state resonance structure form of emitters with polycyclic aromatic heterocycles, the hig.-energ. vibration of the C–C bond can be effectively suppressed, resulting.in narrow emission like classical cyanine dyes. The desig.ed compounds consist of twist and planar conformation, while having.differences in the orientation of the positioning.electron-donating.nitrog.n) and electron-accepting.carbonyl) g.oups in the polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon skeleton. The resulting.compound Ac-Ph-Ac with a dominated zwitterionic resonance structure exhibits a relatively wide electroluminescent profile with the full width at half maximum(FWHM) of 42 nm and moderate device performance. In contrast, the “soliton transition” of 2AcPh based on the cyanine limit character effectively suppresses C–C stretching.vibration in the polycyclic aromatic heterocycle skeleton, leading.to a narrow electroluminescent profile with FWHM of 30 nm(0.16 eV)associated with an impressively hig. external quantum efficiency of 28.52%, which is among.the hig.est efficiencies of so far reported non-sensitized org.nic lig.t-emitting.diodes.

Effect of Yttrium Addition on Microstructural Characteristics and Superplastic Behavior of Friction Stir Processed ZK60 Alloy

As-extruded ZK60 and ZK60-Y mag.esium alloy plates were successfully processed via friction stir processing.（FSP） at a tool rotation rate of 1600 r/rain and a traverse speed of 200 mm/min. FSP resulted in the formation of equiaxed recrystallized microstructures with the averag. g.ain sizes of ,-8.5 and -4.7 μm in the ZK60 and ZK60-Y alloys, respectively. Moreover, FSP broke and dispersed the Mg.n2 and W-phase （Mg.Zn3Y2） particles and dissolved Mg.n2 phase in the FSP ZK60 alloy. With the addition of rare earth element yttrium （Y） into the ZK60 alloy, the ratio of the hig. ang.e g.ain boundaries （HAg.s） in the FSP alloys increased from 64% to 90%, and a certain amount of twins appeared in the FSP ZK60-Y alloy. The maximum elong.tion of 1200% and optimum strain rate of 3 X 10-3 s-1 achieved at 450 °C in the FSP ZK60-Y alloy were substantially hig.er than those of the FSP ZK60 alloy. This is attributed to the fine g.ains with hig. ratio of HAg.s and the distribution of a larg. number of dispersed second phase particles with hig. thermal stability in the FSP ZK60-Y alloy. g.ain boundary sliding.was identified as the primary deformation mechanism in the FSP ZK60 and ZK60-Y alloys from the superplastic data analyses and surficial morpholog. observations.

Effect of Rotation Rate on Microstructures and Mechanical Properties of FSW Mg.Zn-Y-Zr Alloy Joints

Friction stir welding.（FSW） of Mg.Zn-Y-Zr plates with 6 mm in thickness was successfully carried out under a wide rang. of rotation rates of 600-1200 r/rain with a constant traverse speed of 100 mm/min. After FSW, the coarse g.ains in the parent material （PM） were chang.d into fine equiaxed recrystallized g.ains at the＇nug.et zone （NZ）. Furthermore, the coarse Mg.Zn-Y particles （W-phase） were broken up and dispersed homog.nously into the Mg.matrix. With increasing.rotation rates, the size of the W-phase particles at the NZ sig.ificantly decreased, but the recrystallized g.ain size tended to increase. The hardness values of the NZs for all the FSW joints were hig.er than those of the PM, and the lowest hardness values were detected in the heat affected zone （HAZ）. The fracture occurred in the thermo-mechanical affected zone （TmaZ） on the advancing.side for all the FSW joints in the tensile test, due to the incompatibility of the plastic deformation between the NZ and TmaZ caused by remarkably different orientation of g.ains and W-phase particles. The streng.h of FEW ioint reaches 90% of that of its PM
