We present an experimental demonstration of notch filters with arbitrary center wavelengths capable of tunable analog output power values varying between full extinction of 15 and 0 *** filter is composed of highly modular apodized four-port Bragg add/drop filters to reduce the crosstalk between concatenated *** constructed photonic integrated circuit experimentally demonstrates spectra shaping using four independent notch *** notch filter supports a bandwidth of^2 nm and is shown to be suitable for realization of programmable photonic integrated circuits.

The recent application of targeted mutation technologies to lympho-cyte fate mapping1 has facilitated the in vivo analysis ofCD4 T ceils subsequent to their differentiation. The fate mapping of IL17-producing cells has shown them to be responsive to environmental cues in fungal infection and central nervous sys- tem autoimmunity.2 Now Stockinger＇s group reports that many ILl 7-producing CD4＋ T cells home to intestinal Peyer＇s patches （PP） and convert to a follicular helper T cell （TFH） phenotype, providing critical support for T-dependent IgA responses.3

Currently,1% of the United States population holds a diagnosis for celiac disease(CD),however,a more recently recognized and possibly related condition,"non-celiac gluten sensitivity"(NCGS)has been suggested to affect up to 6%of the United States *** reliable clinical tests for CD exist,diagnosing individuals affected by NCGS is still complicated by the lack of reliable biomarkers and reliance upon a broad set of intestinal and extra intestinal symptoms possibly provoked by *** has been proposed to exhibit an innate immune response activated by gluten and several other wheat *** present,an enormous food industry has developed to supply gluten-free products(GFP)with GFP sales in 2014 approaching$1 billion,with estimations projecting sales to reach$2 billion in the year *** enormous demand for GFP also reflects a popular misconception among consumers that gluten avoidance is part of a healthy lifestyle *** of NCGS and other gluten related disorders(e.g.,irritable bowel syndrome)call for a review of current distinctive diagnostic criteria that distinguish each,and identification of biomarkers selective or specific for *** aim of this paper is to review our current understanding of NCGS,highlighting the remaining challenges and questions which may improve its diagnosis and treatment.

以英国 Hillsborough农业研究所附近的一块 7.9hm2的牧草地为研究区 ,采用地统计的半方差分析和克立格方法研究其空间变异性和空间插值。同时对研究田块的样点根据不同间距、不同形状进行删选 ,对不同布局状况下的结果进行统计比较 ,以获取满足一定精度下的最少采样个数和采样形状。研究结果表明 ,单纯利用样方统计 ,土壤有效钾需要 6 5个采样点 ,大致为原始采样点的一半。而在考虑空间采样形状和空间插值效果 ,再采用最小显著性差异 (L SD)进行比较 ,该田块土壤有效钾采样最好使用规则三角网布点 (样点数为 6 2个 )。

BACKGROUND Although surgical resection is associated with the best long-term outcomes for neuroendocrine liver metastases(NELM),the current indications for and outcomes of surgery for NELM from a population perspective are not well *** To determine the current indications for and outcomes of liver resection(LR)for NELM using a population-based *** A retrospective review of the 2014-2017 American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program and targeted hepatectomy databases was performed to identify patients who underwent LR for *** characteristics and 30-d morbidity and mortality were *** Among 669 patients who underwent LR for NELM,the median age was 60(interquartile range:51-67)and 51%were *** the number of metastases resected ranged from 1 to 9,the most common(45%)number of tumors resected was *** majority(68%)of patients had a largest tumor size of230 min(OR=1.731,95%CI:1.168-2.565)were associated with higher 30-d morbidity while intraoperative ablation and concomitant procedures were *** LR for NELM was performed with relatively low postoperative morbidity and *** procedures performed at the time of LR did not increase morbidity.

Many real world networks grow because their elements get replicated. Previously Southwell and Cannings introduced a class of models within which networks change because the vertices within them reproduce. This happens deterministically so each vertex simultaneously produces an offspring every update. These offspring could represent individuals, companies, proteins or websites. The connections given to these offspring depend upon their parent’s connectivity much as a child is likely to interact with their parent’s friends or a new website may copy the links of pre-existing one. In this paper we further investigate one particular model, ‘model 3’, where offspring connect to their parent and parent’s neighbours. This model has some particularly interesting features, including a degree distribution with an interesting fractal-like form, and was introduced independently under the name Iterated Local Transitivity by Bonato et al. In particular we show connections between this degree distribution and the theory of integer partitions and show that this can be used to explain some of the features of the degree distribution;we give exact formulae for the number of complete subgraphs and the global clustering coefficient and we show how to calculate the minimal cycle basis.
