The production of microalgae as a fatty acid oil resource for use in biofuels production is a widespread research topic at the lab *** contain a higher lipid content on a dry-weight basis compared to oilseeds such as ***,the growth and cultivation cycle of microalgae is 15 days,in comparison to soybeans,for which the cycle occurs once or twice ***,to date,it has been uneconomical to produce microalgae oils in a world-scale facility due to limitations in cultivating microalgae at commercial *** developments suggest that the use of heterotrophic microalgae may be economically feasible for large-scale oil *** assess this feasibility,a comparative scoping study was performed analysing the feasibility of an industrial-scale process plant for the growth and extraction of oil from *** were developed at the preliminary design level using heterotrophic subspecies and autotrophic subspecies of Chlorella *** Class 4 cost estimates and economic analyses were *** study concludes that processes based on heterotrophic microalgae are more likely to reach economic feasibility than processes using autotrophic ***,a few barriers still remain to achieving free-market economic viability.

Epidemiological, prevention and control updates of yellow fever outbreak in Brazil

Yellow fever is an acute viral disease endemic to tropical countries, like Brazil, where, since the 1940 s, has no significant documented outbreaks similar to that observed between 2016/2018(2 045 confirmed cases and 677 deaths; caused by the sylvatic form).The principal manipulating factors inciting this change were absence of appropriate vaccination campaigns and increased urbanization & population growth in forest areas, with prevalence of the virus in the species inhabiting of these *** 2016/2018 outbreaks exhibited incidence in areas with historically low or no yellow fever virus activity, triggering a surge in recorded deaths-mainly in the Southeastern states of *** Brazilian government aggressively responded, reforming the countries' prophylactic measures, including vaccine implementation-as of March, 2018, switching from the former double dose regimen of the vaccine, to a single dose protocol, deemed as ***, some states appropriated the fractionated dosage(1/5 of the standard dose), in foresight of potential vaccine *** prevent the uprising of new sylvatic yellow fever cases in Brazil, it's obligatory the development of effective combative plans, including adaptation of prophylactic measures individually(use of repellents, protective clothing etc.), applicable vaccination campaigns in every endemic region, to raise awareness to locals and visitors *** these preventative strategies, the persistence of cases and the recent outbreaks in Brazil, highlight the possible ineffectiveness of combative *** on these considerations, the objective of this review was to raise more awareness of the epidemiological impact of the disease in Brazil.

There was no global guidance or agreement regarding when a country has an adequate system to report on the service packages among human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)key *** article describes an approach to categorizing the system in a country for reporting the service package among HIV key *** approach consists of four dimensions,namely the epidemiological significance,comprehensiveness of the service packages,geographic coverage of services,and adequacy of the monitoring *** proposed categorization approach utilizes available information and can inform the improvement of the service delivery and monitoring systems among HIV key populations.

Introduction:Interrelated social and ecological challenges demand an understanding of how environmental change and management decisions affect human *** paper out-lines a framework for measuring human well-being for ecosystem-based management(EBM).We present a prototype that can be adapted and developed for various scales and *** and managers use indicators to assess status and trends in integrated ecosystem assessments(IEAs).To improve the social science rigor and success of EBM,we developed a systematic and transparent approach for evaluating indicators of human well-being for an ***:Our process is based on a comprehensive conceptualization of human well-being,a scalable analysis of management priorities,and a set of indicator screening criteria tailored to the needs of *** tested our approach by evaluating more than 2000 existing social indicators related to ocean and coastal management of the US West *** focused on two foundational attributes of human well-being:resource access and *** and Discussion:Our results suggest that existing indicators and data are limited in their ability to reflect linkages between environmental change and human well-being,and extremely limited in their ability to assess social equity and *** reveal a critical need for new social indicators tailored to answer environmental questions and new data that are disaggregated by social variables to measure *** both,we stress the importance of collaborating with the people whose well-being is to be ***:Our framework is designed to encourage governments and communities to carefully assess the complex tradeoffs inherent in environmental decision-making.
