MAB phases are layered ternary compounds with alternative stacking of transition metal boride layers and group A element *** now,most of the investigated MAB phases are concentrated on compounds with Al as the A element *** this work,the family of M_(5)SiB_(2)(M=IvB-vIB transition metals)compounds with silicon as interlayers were investigated by density functional theory(DFT)methods as potential MAB phases for high-temperature *** from the known Mo5SiB2,the electronic structure,bonding characteristics,and mechanical behaviors were systematically investigated and *** the composition of M_(5)SiB_(2) does not follow the general formula of experimentally reported(MB)_(2z)A_(x)(MB_(2))_(y)(z=1,2;x=1,2;y=0,1,2),their layered structure and anisotropic bonding characteristics are similar to other known MAB phases,which justifies their classification as new members of this material *** a result of the higher bulk modulus and lower shear modulus,Mo_(5)SiB_(2) has a Pugh’s ratio of 0.53,which is much lower than the common MAB *** was found that the stability and mechanical properties of M_(5)SiB_(2) compounds depend on their valence electron concentrations(vECs),and an optimum vEC exists as the criteria for *** hypothesized Zr and Hf containing compounds,i.e.,Zr_(5)SiB_(2) and Hf_(5)SiB_(2),which are more interesting in terms of high-temperature oxidation/ablation resistance,were found to be unfortunately *** cope with this problem,a new stable solid solution(Zr_(0.6)Mo_(0.4))_(5)SiB_(2) was designed based on vEC tuning to demonstrate a promising approach for developing new MAB phases with desirable compositions.

Peritoneal dialysis （PD） is an established form of renal replacement therapy. Long-term PD leads to morphologic and functional changes to the peritoneal membrane （PM）, which is defined as peritoneal fibrosis, a known cause of loss of peritoneal ultrafiltration capacity. Inflammation and angiogenesis are key events during the pathogenesis of peritoneal fibrosis. This review discusses the pathophysiology of peritoneal fibrosis and recent research progress on key fibrogenic molecular mechanisms in peritoneal inflammation and angiogenesis, including Toll-like receptor ligand-mediated, NOD-like receptor protein 3/interleukin-lp, vascular endothelial growth factor, and angiopoietin-2/Tie2 signaling pathways. Furthermore, novel strategies targeting peritoneal inflammation and angiogenesis to preserve the PM are discussed in depth.

BACKGROUND Laparoscopic cervical cerclage is performed for patients with abnormal cervical anatomy and/or transvaginal cervical cerclage ***,the method of removing the stitches to allow labour induction remains *** to published literature,stitches are removed through laparoscopic or transvaginal ***,we report,for the first time,a case of a patient who had undergone laparoscopic cerclage,and then underwent removal of stitches by laparotomy and labour induction in the third trimester of *** SUMMARY A patient who underwent laparoscopic cervical cerclage due to cervical insufficiency became pregnant naturally following the *** 31 wk of pregnancy,severe foetal malformations were *** successfully induce labour,cerclage stitches were removed via laparotomy,and rivanol was injected directly into the *** successful induction of labour,the patient delivered a dead *** This report provides a reliable scheme of removing cerclage stitches for patients who have undergone laparoscopic cerclage but experience severe foetal malformations.

A composite material of nitric acid oxidized multiwalled carbon nanotube （MWNT） and nation was prepared. Such composite was modified on a glassy carbon electrode to determine trace of lead by differential pulsed voltammetry. In pH=6.47 naNO3 solution, Pb^2＋ ions were accumulated on the modified electrode at -0.4 v. Compared with a bare and a nation film coated electrode, the composite coated GC electrode can reduce the accumulating potential and eliminate the toxic character of mercury. The calibration plots were linear at low concentration of 5.0× 10^-9-2.0× 10^-8 mol/L and high concentration of 2.5× 10^-8-5.0× 10^-6 mol/L. The performances characteristics indicate that the electrode can be used to determine trace Pb^2＋ ions.

In the present study, the performance of the NTNU Blind Test 1 wind turbine is analyzed in the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations by using the CFD code FANS with structured overset grids. First, the numerical methods including the governing equations, the turbulence closure model, and the flow solver are introduced. In addition, the NTNU BT1 wind tunnel experiment is described. Then, structured overset grid blocks are generated in the computational domain with fully resolved wind turbine geometry, including the blades, hub, nacelle, and tower. Afterward, unsteady Reynolds averaged navier-Stokes (RANS) simulations with the two-layer k - ε turbulence model are performed with an inlet velocity of 10 m/s and a tip-speed ratio (TSR) of 6. The overset-grid capability of FANS is leveraged to handle the rotation of the rotor. Finally, simulations are performed for a range of TSRs and a comparison is made among the present CFD results, other numerical results obtained from representative methods, and the experimental data. It is observed that the CFD-predicted thrust coefficients match the experimental measurement at low TSRs while under-predicting the values at high TSRs, and potential reasons for this deviation are discussed.

Fabrication of graphene/ceramic composites commonly requires a high-temperature sintering step with long times as well as a vacuum or inert atmosphere,which not only results in property degradation but also significant equipment complexity and manufacturing *** this work,the ambient flash sintering behavior of reduced graphene oxide/3 mol% yttria-stabilized ZrO_(2)(rGO/3 YSZ) composites utilizing rGO as both a composite component and a conductive additive is *** the sintering condition is carefully optimized,a dense and conductive composite can be achieved at room temperature and in the air within 20 *** role of the rGO in the FS of the rGO/3 YSZ composites is elucidated,especially with the assistance of a separate investigation on the thermal runaway behavior of the *** work suggests a promising fabrication route for rGO/ceramic composites where the vacuum and furnace are not needed,which is of interest in terms of simplifying the fabrication equipment for energy and cost savings.

In order to build a model for the Chang-8 low permeability sandstone reservoir in the Yanchang formation of the Xifeng oil field,we studied sedimentation and diagenesis of sandstone and analyzed major factors controlling this low permeability *** doing so,we have made clear that the spatial distribution of reservoir attribute parameters is controlled by the spatial distribution of various kinds of sandstone *** taking advantage of many coring wells and high quality logging data,we used regression analysis for a single well with geological conditions as constraints,to build the interpretation model for logging data and to calculate attribute parameters for a single well,which ensured accuracy of the 1-D vertical *** this basis,we built a litho-facies model to replace the sedimentary facies *** addition,we also built a porosity model by using a sequential Gaussian simulation with the lithofacies model as the *** the end,we built a permeability model by using Markov-Bayes simula-tion,with the porosity attribute as the *** results show that the permeability model reflects very well the relative differences between low permeability values,which is of great importance for locating high permeability zones and forecasting zones favorable for exploration and exploitation.

Tectonically,the northwestern South China Sea(SCS)is located at the junction between three micro-plates,i.e.,the Indochina,South China and Zhongsha-Xisha micro-plates,and involves three basins,i.e.,the Yinggehai Basin,the Qiongdongnan Basin and Xisha Trough in the east,and the Zhongjiannan Basin in the *** the Pliocene(5.3 Ma),the Yinggehai Basin has experienced repeated accelerating subsidence,high thermal fluid,and widely developing mud-rich overpressure chambers,abundant mud diapers and crust-mantle mixed *** a large central canyon was developed in the Qiongdongnan Basin,new rift occurred in the Xisha *** characteristics demonstrate a single tectonic unit for the northwestern SCS,for which we have undertaken stress field modeling to understand its plate deformations and sedimentary *** results demonstrate that an extension tectonic event occurred after 5.3 Ma in the Yinggehai-Qiongdongnan-Xisha trough area,which is characterized by thinner crust(3 500 m).A new rift system subsequently was developed in this area;this event was mainly driven by the combined effects of different movement velocity and direction of the three micro-plates,and the far-field effect of the continental collision between the Indian Plate and the Tibetan Plateau,and subduction of the Pacific Plate underneath the Eurasian Plate.
