Ratiometric fluorescent detection of iron(Ⅲ)(Fe^(3+))offers inherent self-calibration and contactless analytic ***,realizing a dual-emission near-infrared(niR)nanosensor with a low limit of detection(LOD)is rather *** this work,we report the synthesis of water-dispersible erbium-hyperdoped silicon quantum dots(Si QDs:Er),which emit niR light at the wavelengths of 810 and 1540 nm.A dual-emission niR nanosensor based on water-dispersible Si QDs:Er enables ratiometric Fe^(3+)detection with a very low LOD(0.06μM).The effects of pH,recyclability,and the interplay between static and dynamic quenching mechanisms for Fe^(3+)detection have been systematically *** addition,we demonstrate that the nanosensor may be used to construct a sequential logic circuit with memory functions.

The formation, structural and electronic properties of silicene oxides（SOs） that result from the oxidation of silicene on Ag（111） surface have been investigated in the framework of density functional theory（DFT）.it is found that the honeycomb lattice of silicene on the Ag（111） surface changes after the oxidation. SOs are strongly hybridized with the Ag（111） surface so that they possess metallic band structures. Charge accumulation between SOs and the Ag（111） surface indicates strong chemical bonding, which dramatically affects the electronic properties of SOs. When SOs are peeled off the Ag（111） surface, however, they may become semiconductors.

Surface modification may be an effective means for controlling the properties of germanane, i.e., hydrogenated germanene. in this work, we investigate the formation, stability, structure and electronic properties of surface-modified germanane that results from the hydrogermylation, alkoxylation, aminization or phenylation of germanane. By assuming the typical organic surface coverage of -33%, we have com- pared organically surface-modified germanane with germanene and germanane in the framework of density functional theory. it is found that organically surface-modified germanane may all stably exist despite the endothermic nature of organic surface modification. Organic surface modification leads to the de- crease of the Ge--Ge bond length and the Ge--Ge-Ge bond angle ofgermanane, while causing the buckling distance of germanane to increase. Hydrogenation makes germanene change from a semimetal to a direct- bandgap semiconductor. Organic surface modification further impacts the band structure of the resulting germanane. Hydrogermylated/alkoxylated germanane is a direct-bandgap semiconductor, while aminated/ phenylated germanane is an indirect-bandgap semiconductor. All the organic surface modification gives rise to the increase of the bandgap of germanane.

Highly sensitive photodetectors operating at mid-infrared(MiR) wavelengths are urgently required for the applications of astronomy, optical communication, security monitoring, and so forth. However,further promoting the sensitivity in conventional MiR devices for a higher detectivity is challenging. Among the potential strategies, integrating localized surface plasmon resonance with MiR semiconductors is a promising approach to developing high-performance optoelectronics. Here we demonstrate a high-sensitivity boron(B)-doped silicon quantum dot(Si-QD)/HgCdTe(MCT) MiR photodetector. Because of plasmon-induced hot-hole tunneling and enhanced light absorption, the hybrid photodetector exhibits a high specific detectivity of ～1.6×109cm·Hz1/2·W-1(Jones) and a high-speed response(～224 ns for the rise time and ～580 ns for the fall time) at room temperature. Furthermore, the device achieves high-performance spectral blackbody detection with a peak detectivity of up to 1.6×1011Jones at ～5.8 μm under a cryogenic environment of 77 K, higher than that of bare MCT. This prominent enhancement can be attributed to the further suppression of hot-hole cooling due to a reduced phonon population at low temperatures, which facilitates more efficient hot-carrier extraction and contributes to ultrahigh sensitivity. The plasmonic material-integrated MCT architecture can pave the way for developing high-performance MiR photodetection.

Novel histone deacetylase （HDAC） inhibitors 9a-1 were designed and synthesized by coupling the carboxyl group of salicylic acid （SA） with N-hydroxycinnamamides through various alkylol amines, and their in vitro biological activities were evaluated. The N-hydroxycinnamamide/SA hybrids 9b-f and 9h showed good to moderate anti-tumor activities. Notably, compound 9e had a greater potency, comparable to vorinostat （SAHA）, in human colon carcinoma cells, which was probably, or at least partially, attributable to the positive effects of the chain length noted in allojlol amines. Furthermore, the HDAC inhibitory activities of 9e against Hela cell nuclear were also similar to that of vorinostat （SAHA）, while the tested compounds 9c-f did not exhibit any isoform selectivity in the inhibition of HDACs. in addition, compound 9e could selectively inhibit tumor cells, but not inhibit non-tumor cell proliferation in vitro. Our findings suggest that the N-hydroxycinnamamide/SA hybrids may hold significant promise as therapeutic a^ents for the intervention of human cancers.

AiM: To construct a recombinant vector which can express outer membrane protein (OMP) with Mr18 000 and heat shock protein A (HspA) from Helicobacter pylori(***)in *** BL21, and to exploit the possibility for obtaining the vaccine conferring protection from H. pylori ***: The target gene of HspA was amplified from *** chromosome by PCR, and then inserted into the prokaryotic expression vector pET32a (+) by restrictive endonuclease enzyme kpn Ⅰ, BamH Ⅰ simultaneously. The recombinant vector was used to sequence, and then together with pET32a (+)/Omp18, digested by restrictive endonuclease enzyme Hind Ⅲ and BamH Ⅰ simultaneously. pET32a(+)/HspA and Omp18 were recovered from 1% agarose gel by gel kit, and ligated with T4 ligase by BarmH Ⅰ digested viscidity end. The recombinant plasmid of pET32a(+)/HspA/Omp18 was transformed and expressed in E. coli BL21 (de3) under induction of iPTG. After purification, its antigenicity of the fusion protein was detected by Western ***: Enzyme digestion analysis and sequencing showed that the target genes were inserted into the recombinant vector, composed of 891 base pairs, encoded objective polypeptides of 297 amino acid residues. Compared with GenBank reported by Tomb et al, there were 1.3 %and 1.4 % differences in obtained H. pylori nucleotide sequence and amino acid residues, respectively. SDS-PAGE analysis showed that relative molecule mass (Mr) of the expressed product was Mr 51 000,Mr of protein expressed by pET32a (+) was about Mr 20 000, and soluble expression product accounted for 18.96 % of total bacterial *** purification with ni+2-NTA agarose resins, the purification of recombinant fusion protein was about 95 %. AiM:TO examine the serological response of patients with upper gastrointestinal diseases and Helicobocter pylori(H pylon) infection to two Hpyloriouter membrane proteins(OMPs) (M,18 000 and M,26 000)acquired by gene recombinant technique,and to determine the diagnostic significance of serological tests derived from these OMPs. METHODS:Recombinant vectors encoding the two Hpylori OMPs were used to transform and express in BL21(de3) *** purification with ni^(2+)-NTA agarose resin,colloid gold kits were prepared with purified recombinant proteins to detect H pylori infectJon and H pylori-associated diseases by the immunity-marker *** selected 150 patients with Hpyloriinfection and digestive symptoms without previous treatment,induding chronic gastritis(n=60),duodenal ulcer (n=30),gastric ulcer(n=30),and gastric cancer(n=30). As controls,33 Hpylori-negative healthy volunteers were also *** samples were collected from all subjects,and the antibodies to specific proteins of H pylori were tested with the colloid gold test *** sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of the colloid gold tests were evaluated,by using the combination of standard diagnostic methods(^(13)C urea breath test and bacteria culture)and classic enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELiSA)as reference. RESULTS:After purification with ni^(2+)-NTA agarose resin, the purity of recombinant fusion proteins was about 95%. The recombinant fusion proteins were recognized by the specific monodonal antibodies against the two Hpylori OMPs, as demonstrated by the *** the 150 serum samples from patients infected with Hpylori 141(94.0%)responded positively to the recombinant protein with M_126 000,while the seropositive rates were 95.0%,96.7%,96.7% and 90.0% for patients with H pylori-associated chronic gastritis, duodenal ulcer,gastric ulcer,and gastric cancer respectively. Sea surface temperature(SST)in the Yellow Sea Warm Current(YSWC)pathway is sensitive to the East Asian Winter Monsoon(EAWM)and ***,the role of the YSWC in the evolution of regional SST remains ***,we present new U 37 k′based SST and grain size sequences spanning the last 6092 years in the sediment core Z1,which was retrieved from the central Yellow Sea muddy ***,U 37 k′-SST gradually increased since 6.1 ka BP,with a series of centennial-scale fl *** variation was mainly caused by EAWM when YSWC was weak between 6.1 and~3.9 ka BP,as shown by the end-member content of grain ***,after YSWC was fully developed,i.e.,since~3.9 ka BP,it exerted critical eff ects on SST evolution in its *** 1010-and 538-year cycles of the SST sequence indicated a basic control of solar activity on the oceanic conditions in the Yellow *** is suggested that the variation of total solar irradiance was amplifi ed by thermohaline circulation and then transmitted to the Yellow Sea through the ***,the tropical Pacifi c signal of El niño was transmitted to the YSWC through the Kuroshio *** dual properties of warm water transported by YSWC to compensate the EAWM and driving by Kuroshio Current closely linked the variation of SST in the YSWC pathway to the Northern Hemisphere high latitude climate and the tropical Pacifi *** fi ndings highlight the signifi cance of YSWC on regional SST evolution and its teleconnection to high and low latitude forcing,which grains a better understanding of the long-term evolution of SST in the middle latitude Yellow Sea.

How to control the spatial distribution of nanoparticles to meet different performance requirements is a constant challenge in the field of polymer *** studies have been focused on the flexible polymer chain *** this study,the rigid polyimide(pi) chain grafted silica particles with different grafting chain lengths and grafting densities were prepared by "grafting to" method,and the influence of polymerization degree of grafted chains(N),matrix chains(P),and grafting density(a) on the spatial distribution of nanoparticles in the pi matrix was *** glass transition temperature(Tg) of pi composites was systematically investigated as *** results show that silica particles are well dispersed in polyamic acid composite systems,while aggregation and small clusters appear in pi nanocomposites after thermal ***,the particle size has no impact on the spatial distribution of *** σ·N0.5ix chains interpenetrate,and the frictional resistance of the segment increases,resulting in restricted relaxation kinetics and Tg increase of the pi composite *** addition,smaller particle size and longer grafted chains are beneficial to improving Tg of composites These results are all propitious to complete the microstructure control theory of nanocomposites and make a theoretical foundation for the high performance and multi-function of pi nanocomposites.
