Carboxylesterase,a necessary enzyme in various mammalian cells,has been employed in various biological ***,we designed and synthesized a novel carboxylesterase-based prodrug,which can realize simultaneous drug-release imaging and cancer *** prodrug comprises three parts：coumarin as the fluorophore and the cleavable architecture,chlorambucil as the anticancer drug,and acetyl group as the enzyme-responsive *** presence of carboxylesterase leads to the activation of coumarin fluorescence,and this fluorescence serves as the reporting signal for assessing the enzyme level and drug ***,the prodrug was incorporated in liposome for monitoring drug release and chemotherapeutic effect in living *** internalization by HeLa cells,the prodrug can release chlorambucil and exhibit high *** approach may provide some helpful insights for enhancing therapeutic effect and tracking the release of prodrug.

As part of“The Earth Summit Mission-2022”during the second Tibetan Plateau Scientific Expedition and Research(STEP)in April and May 2022,we conducted the ozone sounding experiment(an ozonesonde mated to a radiosonde)at *** Base Camp(MQBC;86.85°E,28.14°N;5200 m),a location at an extremely high altitude.A total of ten sounding profiles were obtained between April 30 and May 06,2022,of which seven profiles were above35 km in altitude,with a maximum detection altitude up to 39.0 *** study presents the temporal variation and vertical distributions of atmospheric temperature,humidity,and ozone during the MQBC *** averaged ozone concentration was high(68.3 ppbv)at the surface and then increased smoothly until peaking(~110 ppbv)in the middle troposphere(approximately 10 km),and afterward,the ozone concentration increased rapidly from the upper troposphere to a maximum of~10 ppmv at~30 *** enhanced ozone concentration in the middle troposphere was associated with the blocking high pressure,and transport from the southern flank of the Himalayas occurred during the campaign *** average total ozone column was 291.9±21.4 DU for the seven profiles exceeding 35km in *** ozonesonde measurements were also compared with the vertical ozone profiles retrieved from the space-borne ozone products from the Microwave Limb Sounder(MLS)onboard the Aura satellite and the Atmospheric Infrared Sounder(AIRS)onboard the Aqua satellite.

Resource exploitation in the Clarion-Clipperton Zone(CCZ)is of major research interest worldwide,but its influence on the environment is poorly understood,especially due to the lack of baseline values for metals in the surrounding *** work aimed to establish the baseline values of 17 metals(Ba,Ca,K,Mg,Mn,Na,Ag,As,B,Cd,Co,Cr,Cu,Hg,ni,Pb,and Zn)using normalization,the cumulative frequency curve method considering a total of 172 samples taken from 8 multitube cores and 1 box sediment core collected in the western CCZ during the COMRA-45 cruise campaign from August to September *** baseline values of the evaluated metals were as follows:1932 mg/kg for Ba,29512 mg/kg for Ca,18150 mg/kg for K,17120 mg/kg for Mg,6747 mg/kg for Mn,28546 mg/kg for Na,0.571 mg/kg for Ag,5.00 mg/kg for As,94.4 mg/kg for B,0.626 mg/kg for Cd,104 mg/kg for Co,76.1 mg/kg for Cr,370 mg/kg for Cu,0.028 mg/kg for Hg,190 mg/kg for ni,27.5 mg/kg for Pb and 156 mg/kg for *** findings would fill the baseline value gap in the study area and further improve accuracy of environmental impact assessments on the impact of resource exploitation.

A novel bimetallic ni/Co-based metal-organic framework(ni/Co-MOF) was successfully synthesized via a simple solvothermal method, and used as electrode material for high performance supercapacitors. After doping of Co element, the ni/Co-MOF materials retain the original crystalline topology structure of ni_3(BTC)_2·12H_*** as-obtained ni/Co-MOF demonstrates an excellent specific capacitance of 1067 and 780 F/g at current density of 1 and 10 A/g, respectively, and can also retain 68.4% of the original capacitance after 2500 cycles. These results suggest that bimetallic ni/Co-based MOFs are promising materials for the next generation supercapacitance,owing to their excellent electrochemical performance. The synthetic procedure can be applied to synthesize other bimetallic MOFs and enhance their conductive property.

Failure analysis of a kind of low power connector

A kind of low power connector used e.g. in household appliances was partly burned in routine experiment. The heat sources were four paralleled contacts constructed by springs (Sn/CuSn-alloy) in socket and a plug sheet (ni/Steel) while mating. The contact interfaces were detected by scanning electronic microscope (SEM) and X-ray energy dispersive spectros- copy (XEDS), obvious wear tracks and various contaminants, including element Si, Al, Na, K, S, Cl, O, etc., were found. The contamination degrees on the four paralleled contacts were different, so that the ratio of average contact resistance on the four contacts was about 5:8:3:1. The maximum contact resistance on contacts of the plug sheet reached 28 ?. The main failure rea- sons were fretting and contamination between the contact interfaces. Fretting simulation showed that connection resistance of connectors was raised up, even to ohms level. When the current increased to 5 A, the socket housing was heated and decom- posed. By the thermal analysis, it was estimated that the connector would be burned under the lower current if the current was not evenly distributed on the four paralleled contacts caused by uneven contamination. Improvement methods for connector failure are also discussed.

AIM: To determine whether the combination of platelet count(PLT) with spleen volume parameters and right liver volume(RV) measured by magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) could predict the Child-Pugh class of liver cirrhosis and esophageal varices(EV).METHODS: Two hundred and five cirrhotic patients with hepatitis B and 40 healthy volunteers underwent abdominal triphasic-enhancement MRI and laboratory examination of PLT in 109/L. Cirrhotic patients underwent endoscopy for detecting EV. Spleen maximal width(W), thickness(T) and length(L) in mm together with spleen volume(SV) and RV in mm3 were measured by MRI, and spleen volume index(SI) in mm3 was obtained by W × T × L. SV/PLT, SI/PLT and RV × PLT/SV(RVPS) were calculated and statistically analyzed to assess cirrhosis and ***: SV/PLT(r = 0.676) and SI/PLT(r = 0.707) increased, and PLT(r =-0.626) and RVPS(r =-0.802) decreased with the progress of Child-Pugh class(P < 0.001 for all). All parameters could determine the presence of cirrhosis, distinguish between each class of Child-Pugh class, and identify the presence of EV [the areas under the curve(AUCs) = 0.661-0.973]. A m o n g p a ra m e t e r s, R V P S c o u l d b e s t d e t e r m i n e presence and each class of cirrhosis with AUCs of 0.973 and 0.740-0.853, respectively; and SV/PLT could best identify EV with an AUC of ***: The combination of PLT with SV and RV could predict Child-Pugh class of liver cirrhosis and identify the presence of esophageal varices.

Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)can serve as prevailing anodes for lithium-ion batteries,due to their multiple redox-active sites and prominent structural ***,the poor electronic conductivity and inferior cyclability hinder their further ***,a synthetic methodology for trimetallic Fe-Co-ni MOFs with nanoframe superstructures architecture(Fe-Co-ni NFSs)via structural evolution is proposed for versatile anode materials for lithium *** to optimal compositional and structural optimization,the Fe-Co-ni NFSs achieve exceptional electrochemical performance with superior specific capacity(1030 mAh g^(−1) at 0.1 A g^(−1)),outstanding rate capacity(414 mAh g^(−1) at 2 A g^(−1)),and prolonged cyclability(489 mAh g^(−1) upon 1000 cycles at 1 A g^(−1)).Both experimental and theoretical investigations reveal that the multi-component metal centers could boost electronic conductivity,confer multiple active sites,and energetically favor Li adsorption ***,the nanoframe superstructures of Fe-Co-ni NFSs could facilitate stress-buffering effect on volumetric expansion and prevent electrode pulverization,further improving the lithium storage *** work envisions a meticulous protocol for high-performance MOF anode materials for lithium-ion batteries.
