Liver transplant(LT)is the curative treatment for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Bridge therapies are local treatments given to patients on the LT waitlist,to prevent tumor progression and to reduce the dropout *** presentation:We reported a 40-year-old man diagnosed with Barcenola-Clinic Liver Cancer BCLC intermediate stage HCC and Child-Pugh A5 hepatitis B virus cirrhosis who underwent combined bridge therapies to ***,the patient received transarterial chemoembolization(TACE)for two times and showed a partial *** he underwent stereotactic body radiation therapy(SBRT)with a total dose of 45 Gy in 3 *** months later,the tumor size and serum protein induced by Vitamin K absence or antagonists-II,alpha fetoprotein levels decreased *** June 2019 a suitable donor was found and his LT was successfully ***:We propose that a combination of TACE and SBRT was feasible as bridge therapy for HCC patients on the LT waitlist.

A clinical trial of measles and rubella combined vaccine (MR: MRVAC) produced by POLYVAC was conducted in Vietnam in 2016. A total of 756 subjects were enrolled, and 504 were allocated to MRVAC and 252 to control MR vaccine groups. Paired sera were obtained in 733, and the number of subjects was 403 aged 1 - 2 years, 164 aged 2 - 18 years, and 166 aged 18 - 45 years. Antibodies against measles and rubella viruses were evaluated by EIA. Most subjects had been immunized with a single dose of Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) measles vaccine at 9 months of age. Only 41 of 403 subjects aged 1 - 2 years were negative for measles antibody before vaccination, and all became seroconverted. A serological response of more than a 2-fold increase against measles was noted in 214 (47%, 95% CI;42.4% - 51.6%) of 458 initially seropositive individuals immunized with MRVAC and 65 (28%, 95% CI;22.3% - 33.8%) of 234 in the control group, and geometric mean titer (GMT) after vaccination was 25.49-5.60 in MRVAC and 25.03-5.24 in control group. Seroconversion against rubella virus after immunization with MRVAC was noted in 267 (98.5%, 95% CI;97.1% - 100%) of 271 initially seronegative subjects, similar to that after immunization with control group. GMT after immunization with MRVAC was 24.88-5.11 significantly lower than that after immunization with control vaccine (25.59-5.80). Most subject ≥ 2 years of age had rubella antibody because of MR vaccination campaign and no significant serological response was observed in initially seronegatives. MRVAC was highly immunogenic and safe vaccine and the domestic production of MR vaccine would contribute to realizing the goal of eliminating measles and rubella.

Based on guides RG 1.109, RG 1.111 published by United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (USNRC), our research concentrates in assessing radiation doses caused by radioactive substances released from the nuclear power plant (NPP) Ninh Thuan 1 under the scenario of normal operation using software package NRCDose72 provided by the USNRC. The database including the released radioactive nuclides, meteorology, terrain, population and agricultural production activities have been collected and processed to build the input data for the model calculation. The wind rose distribution obtained from the meteorological data in a five-year period from 2009-2013 showed that the radioactive nuclides released to environment spread in two main wind directions which are North East and South West. The X/Q (s/m3) and D/Q (s/m2) qualities which are, respectively, the ratio of activity concentration to release rate and that of deposition density of radioactive nuclides to release rate were calculated within an area of 80 km radius from the NPP site using XOQDOQ. Population doses were calculated using GASPAR. The XOQDOQ and GASPAR are two specific softwares in NRCDose72 package.

We present an analytical model for cross-Kerr nonlinear coefficient in a four-level N-type atomic medium under Doppler *** model is applied to87 Rb atoms to analyze the dependence of the cross-Kerr nonlinear coefficient on the external light field and the temperature of atomic *** analysis shows that in the absence of electromagnetically induced transparency(EIT)the cross-Kerr nonlinear coefficient is zero,but it is significantly enhanced when the EIT is *** means that the cross-Kerr effect can be turned on/off when the external light field is on or ***,the amplitude and the sign of the cross-Kerr nonlinear coefficient are easily changed according to the intensity and frequency of the external light *** amplitude of the cross-Kerr nonlinear coefficient remarkably decreases when the temperature of atomic medium *** analytical model can be convenient to fit experimental observations and applied to photonic devices.

Three provinces including Long An, Tien Giang and Dong Thap, located at Dong Thap Muoi area in the Mekong Delta, belong to the southern key economic region of Vietnam. These provinces run from west to east with a vast network of rivers. Among them, VCD （Vam Co Dong）, VCT （Vam Co Tay） and Soai Rap rivers are the three biggest rivers crossing the province. In recent years, the flows of rivers have changed a lot and saline intrusion has been very complicated. Salt water has intruded deeply into the field. In the 2000s, salt water only reached Tuyen Nhon （Thanh Hoa district）, but now it has reached Vinh Hung district, about 50 km far from Tuyen Nhon. In 2016, the maximum of salinity in xuan Khanh （Duc Hoa district） in VCD river was 6.8‰ and Tuyen Nhon （Thanh Hoa district） in VCT river was 5.2‰. In the coming years, the situation of salt intrusion is going to happen more unpredictable under effects of global climate change and sea level rise.

Soil Gas Radon Measurement for Identifying Active Faults in Thua thien Hue (Vietnam)

The solid-state nuclear track detectors have long been applied to assess the activity of tectonic faults. We measured the Radon (Rn) concentration in soil gas on 09 profiles with a total of 245 measurement points in Thua thien Hue area (Vietnam). Measurement results show that the Rn concentration in soil gas ranges from ~10 Bq/m3 to 144,570 Bq/m3. There is a clear difference in the Rn concentration on the granite rock of Dai Loc complex compared to the remaining rocks. The calculated background value and anomaly threshold of Rn concentration on the granite rock of Dai Loc complex and on the remaining rocks are 33,488 Bq/m3, 82,839 Bq/m3 and 5313 Bq/m3, 24,850 Bq/m3 respectively. Spatial distribution of Rn concentration in soil gas reflects the existence of faults since Rn concentration increases at the points above or near fault lines. The level of expression of fault activity is assessed by radon activity index (KRn), which is calculated by the ratio of anomaly value to background value of Rn concentration. According to KRn, in Thua thien Hue area, only the Dakrong-Hue fault shows a strong expression of activity with high and very high KRn (the maximum KRn = 27.21). The Truong Son, Huu Trach River, Ta Trach River and Bo River fault zones do not show clear activity with low and medium KRn. There is no Rn anomaly value recorded on the Rao Trang fault, demonstrating that it is likely to be inactive at present. The study results indicate that the Rn concentration in soil gas is a strong evidence of the existence of faults or tectonic fracture zones as the Rn concentration always increases at the points above or near the fault line.

Recently, the incorporation of transition metals into magnetite increasing the heterogeneous Fenton catalytic activity of magnetite with high efficiency and interesting magnetic properties applied for degradation of organic pollutants in water purification and wastewater treatment have attracted more and more researchers. In this review, using of one or some metal doped magnetite based systems in heterogeneous Fenton, or photo-Fenton processes are discussed. Then, the role of metal doped species for the enhanced efficiency of degradation process is presented. Finally, possible reaction mechanism for the photo-Fenton degradation pollutants in the present of metal doped magnetite is also given.

OBJECTIVE To identify antiphospholipid autoantibodies(a PLs) as one of patientcharacteristics in breast tumor progression and explore the underlying mechanism. METHODS We examined the circulating a PLs levels in breast cancer patients. We determined the effects of human a PLs on tumor progression in multiple in vivo models of breast cancer and evaluatedthe histopathological characteristics by hemotoxylin and eosin staining and immunohistochemistry staining. Knockdown and neutralization studies were incorporated to confirm the effects of a PLs. RESULTS We observed that high levels of circulating a PLs among breast cancer patients is specifically associated with invasive-stage tumors. a PL Ig G from patients’ serum rapidly stimulated tumor angiogenesis and consequent tumor progression, specifically in slow-growing avascular tumors in breast tumor mouse models. a PLs elicited leukocytic infiltration in the tumor site. Tumor cells treated with a PL Ig G expressed multiple proangiogenic genes, including vascular endothelial growth factor, tissue factor(TF), and colony-stimulating factor 1. Knockdown and neutralization studies demonstrated that the effects of a PLs on tumor angiogenesis and growth were dependent on tumor cel derived TF. Tumorderived TF induced by Apl was essential for vascular normalization by improving pericyte coverage of tumor microvessels mediated by chemokine ligand 2. CONCLUSION Antiphospholipid autoantibodies action as a potential patient-specific endogenous factor promoting the transition of indolent tumors to an angiogenic malignant state through a TF-mediated pathogenic mechanism.
